Tasha

You cope so well with your DC, you are only 22 and have 3 children under 3 I am 38 have a Lizzie 4yr and Lexie 24wks and feel i fail most days.

I was just saying to dh i could quite happly go back to work or even send Lexie to a childminder a day a week just so I can get something done as she is a clingon.

DH looked after Lexie this morning while took Lizzie to nursery then went into to town to open up Lexie trustfund and saving account (spent and 1 and 1/2 hours in Abbey sorting it out but that a whole other rant )by the time i finished and done a little bit of shopping it was tme to pick Lizzie up. And he said now i know how you feel Lexie is just such hard work. Of course for a man 3 1/2 hours is the same as 24/7 .

Oh PANTS, someone (probably me) left the freezer open an inch, I have no idea how long for! All my lovely babyfood has defrosted to slush. Luckily it's mostly fruit, no meat so it probably isn't too dangerous to use it. I had loads of frozen soup and pasta sauce in there too.

We've just had to (had to!) eat a smallish but entire bag of potato wedges, coupled with a bag of frozen cheese and spinach pasta. Wonder what slimming world would think of that! We're both sat here groaning and holding our stomachs, blehhhhh... was so nice though. mmm, double carbs.

I know I'm not, but my period is a few days late (boobs are v tender so probably due on any time now) I'm pretty sure I can't be so not worrying but dp looks rather scared, so if no sign by monday I'll have to test.

James DH left the freezer open the night before we went on holiday for a week, that was nice thing to come home to .

Do you want us to cross our fingers for a BFP or a BFN.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 21/02/2008 20:31

I have no idea what either stand for, it's always puzzled me! It isn't the best time for another one so I suppose I'm hoping for a negative. But if I was, I'd definitely keep it. I quite miss the "almost christmas morning" feeling of being pg! But anyway I'm pretty much 100% sure I'm not so not worried at all.

James fell asleep after his dinner and has now woken up, so is scoffing my left over gorgonzola and spinach pasta, sucking all the sauce out of the tubes and actually crying when he drops them! I think it's a hit, to put it mildly... must make a no salt version for him next time though with philly and frozen spinach.

He's a total cheeseaholic, in fact he had bread, cheese and pears for lunch. (He constantly smells like a mouse's fart of course)

i know we all have our bad days. i really panicked earlier and im normally quite a calm, go with the flo person. really annoyed with dp atm as well. sometimes i think it would just be better on my own. ahhhhhhh feels like someone has gone into my brain with a whisk.

james- cant wait till i get this implant!!lol would you like another lo? and cute video. lo had snowmen on his outfit today

GillL · 21/02/2008 21:38

tasha - dd weighed about 14lb at this age (7lb lighter than ds). The hv never expressed any concerns. What centile is ds3 on with his adjusted age?

James - hugs from me too. Hope you come to terms with the news soon. About the housework - surely the landlord can't complain about a bit of mess.

The video made me laugh out loud. James is soooo gorgeous. You must be really proud. I must get a video of dd making ds laugh this weekend. All she has to do is jump up and down in front of him. When he gets going I can't stop laughing myself.

That is so true lizziemun.

Going to bed soon. Ds was up at 4:15 this morning. I made dh get up at 5:45 so I could go back to bed but I still can't keep my eyes open. Hope you're all having a nice evening.

Bogwoppit · 21/02/2008 23:44

well it's gone from beeing -7 & freezing to pouring with rain & howling a gale - my gas bbq (huge thing with a big full bottle aatached) has just flown down the garden in the wind. Praying no tiles go flying about like they did last year.

James that video was so cute - he looked like he was going to bounce himself out f the chair! & what a cute giggle.

Gill ugh & the early start. I fed ds2@ 6.30 then we slept til 7.30 when i really had to drag myself out of bed. he however was still asleep at 8.30 so went on school run in his pjs. Actually he stayed in his pjs all day

had our 1st proper sit in a highchair to eat tonight - how can 1 floret of broccoli get spread over such a large area? here's a pic
I think I will have to get off my bum & find more food for my wee man. I can't believe he's old enough & ready for anything other than my milk already.

Bogwoppit · 21/02/2008 23:47

that pic is huge sorry, I use clickable thumbnails on other sites - can you do that on here?

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 22/02/2008 11:04

hmmm, not sure about the clickable thumbnails here, it's pretty primitive! but here's your link resized anyway. Look at all that hair!

Hey thanks for the comments about Amy's chrimbo piccie.

Tasha as for paying child maintenance he doesn't pay it in hand, he had a private agreement with his ex that she agreed to and he pays into his ex's bank account via a standing order named Child Maintenance. He has never missed a payment for his very dear DD. He is continuing to pay the private agreement in the interim as he doesn't want his daughter to suffer. Today the CSA sent more paperwork asking for my details!
Sorry to moan about this but we've had nothing but hassle from this woman for years now. Last year it got so bad (when she took DP to court to stop him having his daughter the 6 out of 14 nights she was thriving on, to just alternate weekends and to get sole residency. After several court apperances my DP was granted joint residency for his DD but had to negotiate down on the amount of time to get that, so now has his DD 4 nights out of 14) I had a nervous breakdown when I was about 5 months pregnant at work. I collapsed on the main corridor at work, DP had to come from his work to collect me and I was taken out of work in a wheelchair. I thought my unborn DD was dead with the stress of it. I had her monitored and she was fine, Thank God!
Sorry to hear of the problems with your ex Tasha, it must be awful to have an ex that doesn't fulfil their parental role post separation.

Anyway brought Amy to another baby group yesterday and she was the craziest baby there, with other mums looking slightly disturbed and saying "oh she is very lively isnt she" Yep everydays the same she wakes between 6-7am any doesnt stop save for 2 snoozes of between 1/4-1/2 hour. She has to entertained constantly and gets the grump if she gets bored. All in all this makes her hard work. The upside is that she crashes out between 6-7pm and sleeps through to 6-7am with us waking her for a feed and nappy change about midnight.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 22/02/2008 11:57

Sounds like a stressful time, ER, how awful for you to have collapsed at 5 months pregnant with the stress of it all Hope it all gets sorted soon, it's shocking how nasty and petty CSA battles can get, considering that the people involved used to love each other.

Your lively baby sounds like she keeps you busy! It's great to see their little personalities emerging now isn't it?

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother

if it makes you feel any better i have lost the weight i put on with Lexie i still have to Lose the weight i put on with Lizzie 4 years ago .

CAn some explain to lexie why she needs more then 9oz of milk by now. And while you at it tell her to put her bloody foot down .

tasha22 · 22/02/2008 13:05

elenor if the same rules apply where you are then they are prob asking for your details because the amount your dp should be paying is reduced as he has another child iykwim. i hope you get everything sorted soon and dont get too stressed over it all, shes not worth it.

lexie put your foot down!

ElenorRigby · 22/02/2008 18:54

btw sorry all for the de-rail about my situation and sorry for not having enough time to keep up with everything

GillL · 23/02/2008 06:51

Morning all . Hope you're ok James.

Dh keeps getting annoyed about ds waking early and said we would have to do something about it. He thinks we should change his milk. I'm not convinced that will help. I remember rolling my eyes at 'Goodnight Milk' that I saw in the shops the other day. Ds is eating loads. He has a 9oz bottle first thing, weetabix and a whole small banana later on, a 9oz bottle at lunchtime, the pureed equivalent of half a large carrot, half a medium sized potato, half a small swede, some broccoli and 1 and a half apples and a yoghurt for dinner, then a 9oz bottle before bed. That's more than dd eats in a day and I thought I was giving him too much. How much food and milk do your dcs eat?

lizziemun · 23/02/2008 07:21

Gill,

When Lezzie was a baby she had 9oz x 6 bottle and 3 meals a day but didn't sleep through the night until she was 2yrs.

Lexie (24wks) so a bit younger then yours has 4/5 5oz bottles plus 2 small meals. But sleeps through the night. If i am lucky yesterday she had 16oz plus about a teaspoon of food.

lizziemun · 23/02/2008 07:22
