WOW!! sorry for such a long post

Hi everyone - have been away for ages so can't completely catch up but have had a skim read.

Its funny how all the babies are doing different things - Struan is a bit of a bottom shuffler but he's very happy to be on his feet - just not quite worked out steps yet.

He's got a fantastic sense of humour and is a very determined little boy. If he decides he wants to speak to somebody on a train etc, he will stare at them for however long it takes for them to look at him - and sometimes its quite a while.

Back to work on 21st so I will have better access to the internet and be able to join back in properly.

Hope you manage to reach a decision that you're happy with tasha.

conkertree · 10/04/2008 10:52

by the way - shameless plug alert - off to london just now to run the marathon - 6 members of my family are doing it, dressed in Star Wars costumes for Cardiac Risk in the Young who do research into Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, and support families who are affected by it. My brother in law's (one of the runners) cousin died in 2003 from unexplained and undiagnosed cardiac problems and his family had support from CRY which is why we are running for them.

If any of you fancy sponsoring us, we have a web page at www.justgiving.com/teamjedi

thanks, and will catch up as i say properly when i go back to work.

My2Weegirls · 10/04/2008 11:09

HI conkertree!!! nice to hear from you and welcome back.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 10/04/2008 11:37

Hey conker, I've sponsored you, my bil died suddenly at 35 (just one year into their marriage, poor sis) of that, undiagnosed heart stuff (sorry, don't know the medical or technical details of it) good luck with the marathon, hope it isn't too gruelling. Go you!!!

catch up in a sec, need coffee x

Tasha, what colour did you paint your room? Can't really paint here as I'm renting, sick to the back teeth of crappy magnolia walls! Although my kitchen is lemon yellow and I have painted the bathroom a pretty yellow too as I just couldn't stand the manky sage green colour they'd painted it, it was so depressing! I like yellow it's uplifting. If it were up to me my house would me rainbow colours. So maybe it's a good thing it isn't up to me! lol

I've just put lo down for his nap, he's been playing for ages and he's full of milky porridge so hopefully he'll be out for the count for an hour. Today he's been playing with (amongst other things) an unpeeled tangerine, a packet of pasta n sauce for shaking, and a hairbrush and comb. Heloves bashing a caketin with a wooden spoon but he keeps almost sword swallowing the end of the spoon as he lurches about so I've had to confiscate it.

No willy adventures here yet tasha, I'm not sure his little arms can reach round his tubby belly yet to find it LOL

Off to do some work, it's piling up, back in about four minutes later.

Hi all,

Conkertrree nice to see you, lovelty to hear what everyone's little ones are doing.

E is gong to be on the move soon too, she is desp to crawl, but she gets one leg stuck and falls over. It won't be long, so many of billy's cars to get!

she's sleeping much better, but has woken at stupid o-clock the last 2 mornings, so she might be for sale again.

She's eating well, discovered spinach and ricotta sauce (sure its loaded with salt) and pasta - yummy. Hot x buns still favourite thing though.

Back to wrok on 29th - so won't be around for a while, it'll be too mad here on days off. DS looks like he might eb asthmatic, but I thin there might be something else as well, possibly digestive, so I thnk we may be moving into the GP's.

Tasha - we have a Marie Stopes small clinic here. IF you decide you do want a termination, then you could always stay here, we are about 1 hour from Stansted. Please don't feel like this is pressure. I can't imagine how I would have felt if what I knew I wanted to do was illegal in my country.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 10/04/2008 13:53

I have just sat and watched as my little darling has deliberatly thrown all his toast on the floor, one piece at a time. I know it's a stage but it's a fucking annoying one!

And how come he never does it with a biscuit, if it's so bleedin' eductional?

Plus he won't stop screeeeeching at the top of his lungs today, my ears are ringing and I have a twitchy eye! I keep having fantasies of shoving an enormous marshmellow or something in that big O of a mouth and the sound just miraculously stopping for ten minutes as he munches. Baaad mummy.

tasha-sounds like you were very busy yesterday-we're contemplating extending soon we're prob off of our heads but hey!!

my2weegirls- yes a meet up sounds good, we could always involve dh and dp and go to somewhere like Blair Drummond safari park?

James-Callum is also making a delightful new noise these days- we think it's a mix between a hyena laughing/a lion roaring and a donkey!!! , i keep trying to get him to copy me whispering or saying sshh but to no avail, i then get more of that strange noise followed by dadadadadadadada, mamamamamamamamama and his new one is ach aye? strange but beautiful boy of mine!

conkertree-just off to sponser you, good luck

shrinkingsagpuss-good luck back at work

I'm off to make some banana and choc chip muffins whilst c is still napping-yummy-(i def need to think about going on a diet, my pre pregnancy clothes just about fit but are much tighter than i would like!!!

lizziemun · 10/04/2008 17:24

Helibee i'm with you on the diet. This week i am being strict about eating and try to stop picking between meals.

I kept losing Lexie yesterday and today, as she keeps crawling into the toy cupboard (understair cupboard).

Conckertree good luck for sunday, i shall be with every step with you. Except i will be watching from the comfort of my sofa .

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 10/04/2008 18:06

that some of the babies can say mamama and dadada when all James will say at best is "mmmm...mmmm... MMMMMMMMMpoo!" Oh, dp just told me he said "nom" a couple of times earlier.

Wonder when he'll start babbling properly? seems like he never shuts up but never says anything. (I know I know, takes after me LOL)

OP posts:
shrinkingsagpuss · 10/04/2008 19:27

rofl at losing Lexie!!

Evie rolled off her changing table at the weekend... BUMP

and then yesterday she was sitting on the double bed one mment, DG kissed me goodbye, and BUMP she flew head first onto the floor, narrowly missing my open bed side table door.!!

Bad mummy moment!

shrinkingsagpuss · 10/04/2008 19:28

not sure who DG is.. but DH kissed me goodbye!!!

loler · 10/04/2008 20:09

Hello everyone,

thought i'd try and catch up with the goings on but only managed a couple of posts before giving up!

Ds2 is still very happy to just lie smiling as the world goes on around him. He makes lots of noise like James but no words. No rolling over yet (done it once but can't be bothered to do again). When on his tummy does the skydiving yoga pose but no attempt at crawling. Can just about sit up on his own but wouldn't leave him on his own doing this as not the most stable. Eats lots of everything, gets very excited when he sees crisps (mmmm, are they organic?!). It's very nice knowing he'll be where I left him.

We've just booked to go to South of France to a Centre Parcs type place in August. Going to drive down. The satnav says it will take about 15 hours with out stops - will be an interesting experience!

Got 7 month check tomorrow, am very interested to see how big he is as everyone keeps telling me he is very small - think it's just compared with ds1 who was a monster (over the top of the graphs).

tasha22 · 10/04/2008 23:03

hi,

james i painted it magnolia....just kidding i painted it a coffee colour and britened it up with red curtains and bed covers with chocolate red and coffee it was bright red and bright yellow but looked too much like a kids room than my relaxing space.

thanks shrinking. i think ive decided on keeping

lo has been really unsettled id say in all today he has drank 9oz of milk and his breathing sounds terrible gonna take him back to the docs tomorrow. ds2 had his mmr today and since dp was at home i decided to walk with lo to the health center which was fine took a while longer but fine until we got into hv room and he threw the biggest tantrum ever. hv said i was doing the right thing by ignoring him though but anyways he got his injection then fell aleep so i was stranded after half an hour of sitting with him i decided stuff it and carried him home and my god i thought my arms wwere going to drop off! ds1 had major tantrum tonight after half an hour of constant screaming he said he was going to be sick so i said go to the bathroom (i followed) then he done wee wees so i told him to go back to bed. he then started screaming again and said he was going to be sick so again i said go to the toilet and he did then pulled his trousers down again??? i said what are you doing i thought you were going to be sick but there was no making sence out of him just screaming then to top it off he burnt his bum on the radiator when he had his trousers down to be sick. ok glad i got that off my chest.....

tasha22 · 10/04/2008 23:07

oops i think so im keeping

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 11/04/2008 10:45

You're keeping it? I thought you might, how's your dp now, still being a poohead about it? So does this mean I can be excited about our second baby on the thread yet? lol Hey, you never know, it might be a little girl this time (although since you probably have about 700+ items of boys clothing it might be cheaper if it WAS another boy lol)

Oh well, we're with you whatever happens. Let us know (knickers, you too, hon!) if there's anything you need for the baby, we're probably all the stage of sorting out the small baby stuff now.

Ouch @ ds1 burning his arse! God, tantrums, don't know what J will be like, he already arches his back and screeches when he's annoyed, hope he's not going to be a little terror.

Oh poor dd, sagpuss, was she ok? did she get a lump on the head? We're having more accidents since he's getting more mobile, lots of banging stuff on his head/face. My sister said I shouldn't fuss as I'll turn him into a crybaby.

loler, @ your south of france holiday, ooh I fancy that. I gave James a parsnip crisp once in the car and regretted it as he sat and chewed it for about 30 min, with me craning round to check he wasn't choking!

Lizzie, great idea to keep the toys in the cupboard under the stairs. If that were me, at the end of the day I'd get out a big plastic rake and sweep it all back in the cupboard! lol I have a travelcot set up and at the end of the day I just chuck everything in there and reclaim my livingroom.

Sposed to be going into town in a bit but it's quite grey outside, hope it's not going to pour down!

OP posts:
tasha22 · 11/04/2008 19:33

yeah im keeping it though this might sound terrible but i think i would be very disapointed if it was another boy this will def be my last dp seems to be coming around or atleast he accepts that im keeping and he hasnt packed his bags yet

parsnip crist james?? what ever happened to the normal cheese and onioin lol. i wouldnt worry about fussing over james when he hurts himself because i did with ds1 and didnt with ds2 as i was more laid back but now i wish i had of because he cuts and bruises himself and i dont know where they come from because he doesnt cry. he got a black eye today playing out the back and not a peep from him

well off to do some tidying up

just a quick post from me

i've not mc'd either so i'm sorry if i say the wrong thing here.

knickers -don't feel bad that you didn't remember the date of the mc. it's not the date that is important ime, more the fact that you remember.

tasha22 · 11/04/2008 21:31

im sorry hun men are just useless but have more from me and agree with my2weegirls. maybe someone that has been in the same situation will be along soon. did you mc before you had lo?x

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 11/04/2008 22:03

Hi knickers, sorry to hear about your mc- I can't imagine how awful that must have been for you, but you know it's understandable that some things will slip your mind right now, I think you need to be kinder to yourself, hon.

I found the first trimester of pregnancy incredibly hard, physically and emotionally, the tiredness was horrendous, remember you're growing a whole new organ to support the baby in the first few months- I definitely wasn't able to concentrate properly (and I didn't even know I was pg at that point, you also have all that baby stuff to think about, AND a lo to look after! You're doing so well, don't be hard on yourself.

Tasha I'm glad to hear your dp is coming round, that'll make it easier for you. Have you told any family/friends yet or will you wait til 12 weeks? Fingers crossed for a girl for you!
