Go Danny! P is a little menace cutie too!

Yes SPB I have small gaps - 14m between DD1 and 2 and then 23m between DD2 and DD3 ..... it has it's advantages and disadvantages!!

StealthPolarBear · 26/02/2008 17:33

LOL at small gaps - I just re read that and wasn't sure if you'd know what I meant or think I was insulting you somehow

cazboldy · 26/02/2008 18:22

SOL - i'm sure you can give it to her either way, but a bit of sauce would be nicer!

I have a copper coil. I have had it in since August, and no complaints so far. My periods are a bit heavier, and maybe a day or so longer, but they do seem to be getting better.

I am a lot happier thanks it's a big relief - I am almost feeling normal again! (whatever that is!) and I am on the war path now! I went after dh's boss today and said that my septic tank needed doing, and also my kitchen is sooo manky - the doors are all falling off!

This afternoon, the septic tank has been done, and a man has been round to look at the kitchen!

Liath - well someone had to! the things some people will believe!!!

IDOC - I hope you read it!!!

Fantastic cake Dippy - and I know I always say it, but your girls are beautiful! , and definitely agree with the pros and cons of small gaps!

liath · 26/02/2008 18:29

Fab cake CD, do you fancy doing one for dd and posting it up ? Seriously though you could go into business doing cakes like that.

Luce, how did your party go?

Octo - LOL at the uncontrollable screaming method, I remember resorting to it with dd at the same age and it made such a difference but I'm not sure I'd ever venture onto a sleep thread to tout my methods.....maybe if I have enough wine to drink one night and am feeling reckless .

StealthPolarBear · 26/02/2008 19:33

get liath drunk!!
I have a good feeling about tonight...T has been in a much better mood, the continual snot has almost dried up as has the darth vader breathing , desperately hoping for a good night!
Sending sleepy vibes, Maveta

hensden · 26/02/2008 19:41

Hello all,
don't know if anyone will remember me from way,way back. It's good to see so many of you still about, I do have a little look at how you're all doing when I consult the all knowing archives of MN to solve yet another problem. Today it's what to feed 3dc with squitty bums and it look like a lot of you having the same problem with leaky nappies and sleepless nights.
I'm still bfding and co sleeping, it's the only way I get a decent sleep.
Anyway my main and only news even after all this time is that i'm pregnant, feeling very sick and sorry for myself. DH doesn't know it's confirmed by a test yet and I may keep quiet (if I can) for a bit to break it to him gently.
Must go now baby screaming, probably be on soon to get advice on small gaps

Take care Hensden

oooggs · 26/02/2008 19:49

back soon Jack screaming

Sexonlegs · 26/02/2008 19:53

OMG!!!! Hensden, many congratulations to you!! Of course you are remembered - well by me at least!

So, how many weeks pg are you?

Sorry to hear your 3 dc have the runs also. I think starchy stuff isn't it - bread, banana, pasta, potato - stuff to bung them up! Hope they are better soon.

SPB, you sound happy. Hoping you get a really good tonight and can enjoy your anniversary uninterrupted .

Caz, you go girl. You say jump, and they ask how high!

Lovely to see ellesbelles as well.

Brain mush again.

Hope all the poorly babies (including my Katie) are better soon. xx

elkiedee · 26/02/2008 20:01

Welcome back and congratulations Hensden, you won't know me because although I joined mn in the autumn I then didn't read or post much until Easter when I started my leave.

Idreamofchocolate · 26/02/2008 20:18

Oooooooo congratulations Hensden! At last someone is pregnant!

The raging squits continue here. S pooped in the bath tonight, lovely, so have had to completely disinfect everything that was in there. Nice. Looks like she won't be going to nursery tomorrow so will have to skive work at home.

Just waiting for a friend to pop round so she can have a whinge about her DH. Hope I can stay awake long enough....

oooggs · 26/02/2008 20:25

sorry I crossed posts with Hensden - congratulations - how many weeks?

cazboldy · 26/02/2008 20:42

Oh congratulations hensden!

cazboldy · 26/02/2008 20:43

(btw I am ignoring the talk of squitty bums! - la la la la la - it's not coming here!!!!)

but sorry for all those coping with them!

Sexonlegs · 26/02/2008 20:58

Oh yuck IDOC! Was E in the bath at the same time???

I am being over cautious and B is having a bath first!!

runnyhabbit · 26/02/2008 21:00

Ok, so I've read the thread, but can only remember bits....

Congratulations Hensden
Generally at bitty comments...ffs
Sorry to hear about all the poorly babes Fwiw, I told nursery that the boys had been a bit under the weather, so prob won't eat much etc, and to call me if they were really unsettled. When I went to pick them up, J was tearing around outside like a loony and W was inside tearing crawling around like a loony. Both had eaten all their breakfast and lunch So, I am sending get well vibes to everyone
I have the copper coil. It has taken about 6mths/cycles to settle down. Periods are slightly heavier, and a little longer. All ok apart from that.
cd fab cake
potc is sofa man still there

And as for potty training.....well...
J HAS BEEN DRY FOR 3 WHOLE DAYS
Thought we might have had an accident to day in softplay. I heard him calling out "wee, wee" and I thought he'd had an accident. Instead he was standing with his knees together, bless. He held it in til we got to the toilets. When we had finished, he proceeded to tell everyone in softplay that he'd just had a wee

Well, I hope that everyone starts feeling better soon the clocks change in a few weeks, so there should be more daylight.

x

runnyhabbit · 26/02/2008 21:02

meant to add that more daylight usually puts me in a better frame of mind, wanting to do stuff etc....

iykwim

oooggs · 26/02/2008 21:15

just sent some of you an email - made me cry and also thankful for what we as a family have

elkiedee · 26/02/2008 21:16

I know what you mean runny. Even now, in February, I'm noticing that it's staying light longer in the afternoon and that's nice. At least going back next week it will still be light when I leave work, and soon it will still be light when I get home or to minder's.

NorthernLurker · 26/02/2008 21:18

evening all

I am knackered tonight - not soo good night with B then off to baby group (which was fun) - loooong walk there and back though. Then B was asleep when we got back and my lunch was on the bottom of the pushchair so I left her and left her but she didn't wake. In the end I had to wake her at 2.15 or neither of us would have had time for lunch before going out again to school. I took her in the carrier which made a change.
Then at teatime I was mad enough to be poaching eggs for big girls and makingn toast for them and making cheese sauce for B all at one and the same time. Just about ok - nearly burnt the butter and ended up with a fine dusting of flour on the eggs (shush don't tell) Then on to bathtime where B did a huge wee on the changing mat and tried to climb out of the bath - cast iron victorian thing - v slippy. Oh and I spoke to dh - who was having a lovely dinner in lovely London. So that's ok then. I meanwhile am eating melon whilst waiting for my M&S tea to do - am so hungry! I've also developed a bad fondant fancie habit.....I buy them for the girls - really I do.......I had one for breakfast this am

Ok - I'm sorry - I've read through but really haven't taken much in - to knackered.

SOL - you've gpt the POP now I think? I've always used that actually with no problems - just take it at roughly the same time each day!

Dippy - great cake!

GMM - home soft play sounds fun

Hensden - never met before I think - I 'lurked' here for a long time. Many Congratulations on your exciting news!

Much sympathy for all those with exciting exploding and leaky babies
Can't remember another thing - sorry for being crap.

WestCountryLass · 26/02/2008 22:03

Sorry not been around, Leo is causing me some worry as he had an ear infection just before Xmas, then about 3 weeks ago he has had another one with a chest infection and he has had some antibiotics but is still really chesty/rattly and his ears are still giving him jip. He has been waking every hour or so for the last few nights, it is all very draining. The Dr doesn't want to give him more antibiotics because he has had 2 courses in as many months...

Off to bed now as no doubt will be up late

NorthernLurker · 26/02/2008 22:35

WCL - poor little Leo! Do hope he feels better soon and that you get a good nights rest as well. How is your dd?

NorthernLurker · 26/02/2008 22:57

SOL - which mini pill has the doc given you - hope it isn't cerazette - have just seen a thread about it and it looks to have some nasty side effects.

StealthPolarBear · 26/02/2008 23:44

Congratulations hensden!
T up for the first time, wide awake

NorthernLurker · 26/02/2008 23:46

Hi SPB - just going bedwards but saw your post - have you drugged him? I would be very tempted to get the medised out if I was in your shoes.

liath · 27/02/2008 07:12

Morning!

Wow, congratulations Hensden - hope you're feeling less yucky soon.

WCL, poor ds - if your GP doesn't want to give antibiotics surely they could refer you to ENT if his ears aren't right? Hope you had some sleep last night.

DH gets back tomorrow night, hooray!
