Oooops no room to link to old thread!

Lol at AQ forgetting that she is pg Sure the madness will pass. And don't worry about my chocolate supply, I live round the corner from Tesco

Jabber I think you should pop ds in the post and I'll sned him on holiday with all my clibing friends, they do similarly dangerous stunts on a larger scale. He'd have a ball

jabberwocky · 11/03/2008 03:05

Goodness, there's a lot to catch up on!

FGS, I'm glad the party went well. That's quite a lot of little one's to keep up with.

Indith, big congrats on the date! I love weddings - so much so I've been trying to convince dh to renew our vows this year

bebespain, I didn't know you were moving too. I feel like I've been packing for months. We're taking a big truck full of stuff over this weekend but final move isn't until May. I've been running around trying to figure out what is the least amount of possessions we can survive on for 8 weeks, lol.

bebespain · 11/03/2008 18:19

Yes jabber I´ve been keeping it quiet [sssh emoticon] That way I feel its not really happening Its not that I don´t want to move but the packing and organising involved is just too much for me and we go a week tomorrow...and I´m sure our possessions are multiplying we never bought that much stuff, did we...?

Good luck on the renewing vows front you ole romantic you

DS is up to his favourite past time which is pushing absolutely anything he can find along the floor, has got the big pack of loo roll at the moment! Oh its such fun!

accessorizequeen · 11/03/2008 19:00

Lots of talk about choccie, excellent! Moving sounds quite horrendous we did it when ds1 was 6 months pre-crawling and that was fine but now urgggh. We're loooking at having kitchen knocked through but still doesn't seem to give us the space we need. With 3 I can't bear think of it!
LOL at other 4 year olds and death etc. It's v.interesting at times and also quite challenging if I'm not up to it! I say the answer bank has run out. Sometimes works.
How's impaction, jabber? DS1 is getting quite a lot better with new reward chart & huuuuuuge amounts of praise from me for absolutely any effort. I'm starting to think the end is nigh (after 18 months, sigh).
How is dd2, Eli?

jabberwocky · 11/03/2008 19:20

Things are improving here too. Ds1 has been in regular underwear for about 3 weeks now He spent the night at my mom's house a couple of nights ago and she said he sneezed really hard and had a little bit of a poo accident. So we've cut back on the stool softener and I'm hoping it's that and not seepage again. I was reminding dh that it's been just over a year since his diagnosis of the first one. So hoping we've seen the last of that!

Indith · 11/03/2008 19:53

Where are you moving to bebe?

AQ what is your house like? Is it the same build as number 34? (not really, best mate lived/lives there). They had 3 kids plus gran living at home and kitchen was a bit of a squeeze. Must seem like a palace with 1 in Rwanda, 1 in London and the other at uni so not around much!

Jabber do you think your dh is going to go for it? Seems like a lovely thing to want to do.

Ds is soooooo wriggly! He just wants to be off everywhere, if you pick him up he shrieks and giggles and flaps and wriggles til you put him down.

OP posts:
bebespain · 11/03/2008 20:18

We are off to the "sierra" Indith. Miraflores de la Sierra which is about 50kms North of Madrid. Its time for a garden and some peace and tranquility and no planes going very low overhead Torrejon has its own airbase you know!

Another wriggly one here and DS really hates it when I put him back in the pushchair, does the whole stiffened body routine, bit of a battle of wills today in the park

Indith · 11/03/2008 20:54

Sounds lovely Madrid is so...tiring to be in (and that was after coming from Moscow!) Bet it will be nice to be somewhere with fewer towerblocks!

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 11/03/2008 22:27

I hate the stiffened body thing, it kills my back putting him in the car seat! I normally bribe him with food before he goes in the buggy...
Indith, forgot to say congrats about the wedding - where did you end up choosing? Didn't have any ideas I'm afraid! Can't think where 34 is, I'll have to look next time! But kitchen size of closet, ds2 crawls round me whilst I'm holding hot pans and ds1 tries to stand in front of me and brings the wheelybug in cos it's not crowded enough already! The baby would have to sit in the sink quite frankly!
Jabber, that's all sounding really good! I'm still not sure whether to get pediatric referral tbh, he's being so good at the moment I don't mind a bit of seepage, it's the attitude that does my head in!

jabberwocky · 12/03/2008 00:16

Another wriggly one here. And the stiff body that slides right out of your lap is starting to really annoy me.

Dh hasn't totally bought into the idea yet but he is also very pre-occupied with all that's involved in the move. I'm still hoping he comes around

babypowder · 12/03/2008 14:06

Good lord, everyone is either moving or (re)tying the knot. Congratulations

DD2 took a tentative step today, then fell over and refused to stand up again. Hmph. Lazy child.

babypowder · 12/03/2008 18:52

Indith, have you seen the pictures of Ulrika's wedding? hereThat's definitely the style to which one should aspire! (Though where those boobs came from is a mystery!)

Indith · 12/03/2008 21:21

Bloody hell those boobs are mahoosive!

bless dd2, expect she is trying to puzzle out what went wrong before the next attempt.

Ds is getting to be a 2 finger walking champ dispite comlete inability to even stand still unaided. He tried 1 finger walking around the hall while I was waiting to give blood yesterday, much to the amusement of the nurses. Was very wobbly but he grinned lots and bounced in an excited manner so I figure he was pretty pleased with himself

OP posts:
babypowder · 12/03/2008 22:07

I do remember my boobs growing during the last few months of pregnancy, but she really is taking it a bit far ... perhaps she's having twins?

I just wish I looked that glamorous when I was that pregnant.

Oh bugger, I wish I looked that glamorous NOW

accessorizequeen · 13/03/2008 11:23

I looked like that both times! (not the glamour, just the size!) It's fab at the mo as they're so lovely and perky for first time since I was 15 (I keep hoping it's a girl because I feel so different body-wise, not that another boy wouldn't be fab).
Sacha, how did scan go???

Indith · 13/03/2008 12:52

at the perky norks. Mine seem to have finally stopped producing milk and are distinctly saggy

Bets now being taken on whether I can use the saggy norks as an excuse to get pg again

I was such a muppet yesterday. Left the house for Rainbows, dp in London so had the car. Get out of the door with 4 bags and ds. Close it. It latches. Bugger.

Car key
Scout Hut key
House Key

All in the house!

Rang round friends with cars until I found one who wasn't at work to come rescue me and take me to the Hut (without carseat ). Rang friend who takes the Guides and so also has keys to come open up for me.

Traffic was horrible and friend was other side of town. Arrived to find she wasn't there yet but all my girls were! Thankfully they were happy playing games on the field in the rain. Anyway she arrived with the keys, meeting went ok (though my autistic one burst into tears right after the meeting, no idea what happened as she was perfectly happy all night, chatted to her mum on the phone later and we are still both bemused!) then went round to friend's house. Dp's train delayed due to wind etc. He finally got in, walked home to get the car and came to pick us up. By that point it was about 8pm. Poor ds usually eats at 5!

OP posts:
bebespain · 13/03/2008 17:38

Blimey Indith you had a bit of a day of it didn´t you!

DH working away at the mo and I always dread locking myself out (check keys x 20 before I dare go out of the door!)

Just checked out that Ulrika picture - scary!

I knew I shouldnt have got all complacent about DS wanting to have a lovely long nap in the afternoons - he was having none of it today Back to the park we went for some more "treasure" hunting. Its actually a stone in each hand (has got to be both). They are funny aren´t they our little angels

jabberwocky · 13/03/2008 17:41

Am also amazed at the norks on that woman - who is she btw

Indith! sounds like quite the day. I'm glad you got in the house at last.

Elibean · 13/03/2008 17:56

Wow, you moving, marrying, pregnant lot! Sounds like lots of good things happening...could this be a harbinger of spring? (please please say yes )

On the boob subject, has anyone else got stuck with bigger ones since having LOs, as opposed to smaller? I thought they were supposed to deflate?? Mine are up 2 cup sizes since pre-dd1 (that looks suspiciously like pre-ww1, which may not be a coincidence...).

Indith, ouch, glad the day ended well. And beware, or I will arrive in Durham with car-load of infants and chocolate speaking bad French....don't be locked out that day, please...

Here, we're now recovering from a nausea/runs/headache bug and/or colds (depending on family member) and I'm hoping dd2, who is back on her four paws, doesn't catch either. If all are well, dh and I are abandoning ship tomorrow night for the first time since dd1 was born for a night at a spa hotel (about two miles down the road just in case Shepherds Bush, very glam). Fingers crossed, very very tightly.

FunkyGoldStar · 13/03/2008 18:56

Hi everyone.

Glad sick ones on the mend.

Sorry but lol at your day indith!

Eli - I was a 34DD when I got married. Now I am only about 3/4 stone heavier than then but I am a 38F (after 2 children)!

Indith · 13/03/2008 19:40

Jabber- she presented some TV, had some sex, married and divorced a few people...erm have I missed anything folks?

Sounds fab Eli (the spa that is, though a car load of infants and bad french would be fun too). Am thinking I need to have a trial run and dump ds on parents at some point before a couple of stolen nights-- not far away post wedding honeymoon.

I like the stone in both hands. Ds is also very fussy about things. I tried to borrow his spoon during breakfast this morning to scrape his porrige back into a pile so he could spoon more easily and he flipped completely. Took ages to get him calm again!

OP posts:
bebespain · 13/03/2008 20:36

Very good description there Indith

Elibean - You´re scaring me about the bigger boobs! I am hoping like hell mine decide to go smaller that´s what they told me...can´t tell yet as I´m still doing 2-ish feeds. I´d love some smaller ones please

Hope you manage to get your night out (fingers crossed) sounds luvverly!!

Elibean · 13/03/2008 22:32

Thanks.....dd1 suddenly started coughing and had a slight temp this evening: no, please no! Stuck her in bed with calpol and told her she'd be fine in the morning

Bebespain, I was a mere 34b pre babies. Am now a 34dd. After dd1 I was a 34c and delighted, but I'm small so dd feels like - well, someone else (not Ulrika, sadly )

I'm glad dd2 isn't the only 1+ yr old around here to be full of determined ways! Love the stones. dd wanted leaves in both hands in order to get into buggy till recently - now its rice cakes, or (worse) stiff-as-a-board-regardless. She's a clown, very funny and good natured, but omg can she get CROSS sometimes - and so, so loud

babypowder · 14/03/2008 10:16

One wonan's life encapsulated perfectly into one short sentence, indith!

I read that 49% of a child's personality is inherited (nature). Suprisingly, nurture has no effect whatsoever on the remaining 51% - the rest of our ultimate personality is derived from our peers. How we as children and particularly teens interact with our peers, not 'peer pressure'. Fascinating! I might as well lock them both in a cupboard now, then, as I quite like them the way they are

babypowder · 14/03/2008 11:17

My DD2 is a real cuddler - likes nothing more than being carried with her head tucked into one's (anyone's)neck. She is really active, full of laughs and giggles, but can certainly show her displeasure She has to go some to keep up the the constant stream of noise coming from DD1, but I feel that she, too, will be a chatterbox. Heaven help us!

I can clearly remember Sunday afternoons when DH and I sat, drank cups of coffee and read the papers. In complete silence. Long time ago now!

Elibean · 14/03/2008 12:47

have definite sense that my interactions with my BF as a child/teen were based very heavily indeed on my interactions with my mother! Hers, too, come to think of it.

Still, might have to chuck mine in your cupboard too, BP, just in case
