Oooops no room to link to old thread!

Lol at AQ forgetting that she is pg Sure the madness will pass. And don't worry about my chocolate supply, I live round the corner from Tesco

Jabber I think you should pop ds in the post and I'll sned him on holiday with all my clibing friends, they do similarly dangerous stunts on a larger scale. He'd have a ball

Love the cuddling into neck description

bebespain · 14/03/2008 21:55

Awww at Eli´s DD2!

at the boobs, Eli! I´ve got no chance mine were on the mahoosive side to begin with - arrghh!

That´s really interesting bp...and your two DDs sound delightful, two chatterboxes make for a lot of fun!

Oooh reading the papers and drinking cups of coffee with DH... merely a distant memory for us all now

Indith · 15/03/2008 10:52

Well if I had a paper I could read it now, ds woke at 7, came into bed for a snuggle (unheard of these days, he shouts at us til we get his breakfast normally), shouted at his breakfast and went back to bed where he still is!

Why is it always on a Friday afternoon that you pick your child up from creche to find that the ear that has been oozing on and off since the ABs finsihed is most definitely oozing again? Dr again on Monday, woohoo

Scan went well thanks, Due Sept 18th.
DS is still having great fun hitting cousin on the head and making him cry, I hope he grows out of this before dc2 turns up! Think Im going to need to invest in a new sling!

Indith · 16/03/2008 15:27

How exciting Sacha

I have had some lovely cuddles with a very pretty 3 week old yesterday and today

However, I am counting down the hours til the Dr appointment tomorrow! Ds is right back to how he was at the worst of the last ear infection (crying, started shaking) with added squits and a desire to drink loads. I suppose at least I don't have to worry about dehydration from the poo problem

babypowder · 16/03/2008 18:07

Oh, Indith - it's a real saga for you isn't it

Sacha, not long to go then! I really didn't enjoy pregnancy ... so why do I get broody when I hear about scans and things?

I've just realised that in the 15 months that DD2 has been around she has never once had her hair washed with shampoo or her body washed with anything other than bath water. Does this make me a minger?

babypowder · 16/03/2008 18:08

And I still can't remember to brush her teeth I am a baaaaad mum

Indith · 16/03/2008 20:06

Nah it makes you sensible. Ds rarely has anything used, he does love a good bubble bath though in a "what is this strange thing in my bath?" kind of way.

Strangely ds has brushed his teeth better today than ever before (we have one of those fab chewable brushes). Must have been trying to get rid of the taste of slightly rancid yoghurt vomit

FunkyGoldStar · 16/03/2008 20:21

Sacha - glad the scan went well

Indith - your poor DS. Hope the GP can sort it out this time.

BP - My DD2 has had her hair washed with shampoo about 3 times. I always forget. DD1 gets hers done about once a fortnight but there have been a few notices about nits at preschool so I'm starting to do it weekly, along with the condition & comb check (yuk)

I'm on hols this week. A cottage with an indoor pool See you next week.

spina · 16/03/2008 20:55

I hate my laptop/internet connection. they're not speaking to one another(some sort of lovers tiff) so i havn't been able to come on here and last message i wrote to say hi and explain my re-disappearance ...disappeared.

babypowder · 16/03/2008 21:14

Fab chewable brushes, Indith? Qu'est-ce que c'est?

FGS, vvv

Hi Spina

Indith · 17/03/2008 08:54

scroll down for the picture

They really are fab. We have a "normal" brush too to help him out a bit.

Indoor pool FGS? Joining BP in the !

Hello Spina! Hope your technical devices resolve their tiff soon so you can talk to us all!

Baby still in bed

Indith · 17/03/2008 08:55

Oh yes meant to say I got mine in Waitrose.

OP posts:
babypowder · 17/03/2008 18:36

Drat. No waitrose up here (more's the pity ) I'll have to do some searching around, see if anyone else stocks them. They do look fabby!

Am very, very at work today following annual appraisal, so I'm off to lick my wounds and regroup. Bah!

Indith · 18/03/2008 12:19

Yah boo sucks to work bp. Hope wounds have been suitably dressed with chocolate.

Ds has more shiny ABs, which he vomited up in spectacular fashion last night. Have still parcelled him off to creche today though as he was otherwise fine yesterday, just slept and drank.

My mum has just texted me to say that my uncle and cousin are going to bring my gran over from France for the wedding! So happy. She will be 88 (I think!) by then and I think the last time she came over was about 15 years ago!

OP posts:
SachaF · 18/03/2008 20:52

Indith, weddings are so exciting! It sounds really cool having your gran there.
Have now remembered for about a week to do ds's teeth at night - well, almost it's that he remembers for me! He walks in to bathroom and puts his hand up, then minty toothbrush goes right in the mouth! We also have a chewable one, it's long handled made by mam and is also a gum massager. It started off as a bath toy. Boots I think.
Mmm, indoor pool, drool.....
Off to see my folks for Easter, they don't know yet about no.2! I keep getting asked what I've been up to lately and how do I say 'well I sleep for 2 hours every afternoon when ds has his nap'. I keep using the in-laws being here as an excuse - 'oh, I did the school run, I saw the girls in their ballet show' etc etc to make my life sound a bit more interesting and not at all pregnant like!

accessorizequeen · 18/03/2008 21:54

Glad the scan went well, Sacha. Very of you having a nap every afternoon, I think longingly of one but it never happens. DS1 wld get upset if I left him alone whilst I went upstairs. By 5 I am completely shattered. I was really saddened that two friends have had miscarriages the last couple of weeks, just don't want to have to tell them I am pg! Also that I can't seem to feel any real joy about this baby yet, I'm waiting for a scan date which I can look forward to. DP v.upset with me, but I've tried to explain that I'm not trying to be like this.
Are you going to dress ds in little pageboy suit or something, Indith? We're going to my dad's wedding in a fortnight and dp wants us to dress the boys in kilts as my new stepmum is scottish as are most of the guests. You will be amused to hear that dp came in tonight with a Vaude Jolly Comfort backpack he ordered on the weekend. Even the same colour as the one I sold you. FGS! Course I can't use it as it's too much pressure on my middle (can't wear hip seat or ergo, tried a mei-tai and didn't like it argggh). What a waste of money, he had the grace to look sheepish and then pointed out new, improved features...Men!

Indith · 18/03/2008 22:08

Sorry AQ but PMSL, men and gadgets huh, you just can't win! Kilts sound very cute, dp has mentioned a sailor suit, mainly to annoy my sister as one of the first things she said was "you're not going to dress him up as a page boy or anything twee and horrible like that are you?"

Am also of the naps and I'm not pg! Just very tired and run down and attempting to keep going. End of May. Just keep plodding.

At times I wonder if I should get a self imposed ban til the end of exams but I think this place keeps me sane at times! Doubt MNHQ would faff around only allowing me on for half and hour a night!

Hello. I have just spent ages trying to find this thread. Thinking how strange it was that no-one had posted for ages. I've just realised that I have been looking on antenatal! I think too much time has passed for me to use the baby brain excuse. Anyway hope everyone is well!

Indith · 20/03/2008 10:18

They are being a bit quiet though Are you all trying to tell me to sod off and do essays by being really boring?

Ds starting to perk up (touch wood). Had a bit of chatter this morning and he played with his toys before going to creche which was very nice after several days of just lying there staring into space and dozing.

Olihan · 20/03/2008 11:01

Hello, everyone! Just managed to read everything from the last couple of weeks but can't remember much, as usual!

Holiday was fab, it was so lovely to see my dad and stepmum again. The dcs had a ball, in the pool every day, despite the rain (rain, I tell you, I was not impressed!) but as it was still 25+ degrees the rain didn't matter too much! Dad and M took ds2 into their room for the second week so I had my first whole week of unbroken sleep in early 15 months. Bliss!

Dd went down with chicken pox the day we left, but dim mummy didn't realise what it was until after we'd got home. I just thought she'd been bitten . Feel really bad about everyone else on the plane though. Hope she didn't infect too many people.

Sacha, glad the scan went well, when are you planning on telling everyone?

Indith, very exciting about the wedding - we're all expecting our invites asap . Are you dress shopping yet?

Lucy, my laptop died a few weeks ago so I haven't got MSN at the mo. What's the news on moving back? Is it still on the cards?

FGS, have a good holiday, you deserve a break after the last few months.

Indith · 20/03/2008 20:02

Good to see you Oli! Big for holiday and sleep but for the pox, hope she is not too miserable with it.

Not dress shopping at all yet! Mum will be making it so suppose I had better do some fake shopping and trying on to get some ideas though adding that to the to do list may be taking procrastination a little too far.

FunkyGoldStar · 21/03/2008 16:17

Hi everyone, quiet here! Had a good holiday but it was freezing Both DDs were great but we're all glad to be home

Olihan · 21/03/2008 22:12

My mum made my wedding dress, Indith, it was very special wearing it and knowing how much time and love had gone into it.

Dd is pretty much over her 'chicken spots' but is now sporting a very black eye after walloping it on the corner of the window seat when she was messing about with one of ds1's friends. Oops!

I'm now just holding my breath to see if ds1 or ds2 gets it. Ds2 supposedly had it just after christmas but I'm not convinced.

FGS, glad you had a decent break - I always enjoy getting home, no matter how great the holiday.

Where is everyone?

babypowder · 21/03/2008 22:21

I'm here! Spent the day with the DSD's today, as DSD1 is home from uni with flu, and DSD2 was looking for any excuse to avoid revision ... sooo glad those days are behind me (sorry Indith ) DSS's wedding is turning into one of those soap opera melodrama's that are always such fun to hear about but utter misery to endure

Glad to hear that the pox is on the wain Oli. where was your holiday FGS? (I seem to remember a cottage ... but my brain is probably playing tricks on me)

Saw a new physio today, and I'm feeling much better about treatment going forward. She's concentrating much more on flexibility and less on core stability as I have developed a ram-rod straight back that is as stiff as a board (check the cliches in that sentence!) She expects that I'll be able to touch my toes in 12 weeks, and that the pain I'm suffering is less to do with my back than with the SPD I had at the end of my pregnancy. Light at end of tunnel!
