Oooops no room to link to old thread!

Lol at AQ forgetting that she is pg Sure the madness will pass. And don't worry about my chocolate supply, I live round the corner from Tesco

Jabber I think you should pop ds in the post and I'll sned him on holiday with all my clibing friends, they do similarly dangerous stunts on a larger scale. He'd have a ball

AQ I'm sure the scan will be fine.

I saw a thread in chat by Magnolia today. She is pregnant but it will be her 6th and is unplanned so I think things are difficult for her

GodzillasPimplyBumcheek · 18/04/2008 22:31

Can i join in (got 30 mins left til a date upstairs with DH )?

Who is pg? I am seriously bad at remembering but am assuming Indith (congrats ) for one?!

Ironing? The closest to role play we have here is imaginative use of stacking beakers as cups and bowls. DD3 is going through a very attatched to dummy and teddy stage {sigh}. It's difficult to get her to eat when she won't put 'Mister Ted' down, let alone spit the dummy out

Elibean · 18/04/2008 22:32

((Magnolia)) hope she's ok.

Thanks re dd2, fingers crossed it lasts this time.

I must have missed BP's interview (good luck, belatedly, hope not pipped!) and Indith's ds walking (wahey, well done LO) but most relieved not to have missed AQ's scan - was anxious for both mine, but then really enjoyed them, will be thinking of you on the day

AQ, I don't think dd will walk till she's 18 mos - she can stand wobbling for a few seconds, but thats it. Spears food with a fork, threads cotton reels on a string, but gross motor control is not her thang....

Elibean · 18/04/2008 22:33

Have a nice date Godzilla

GodzillasPimplyBumcheek · 18/04/2008 22:38

Elibean - DD3 is a great walker - and she dances! But as for feeding herself...LOLOLOLOL....i think i will be feeding her when she's 10! Have a quick gander at my pics though...go on!

GodzillasPimplyBumcheek · 18/04/2008 22:40

Just looked at your pics Eli (it would be rude not to!), and how cute are your kids? Adorable!

accessorizequeen · 18/04/2008 22:41

Hello Godzilla, date with dh sounds v.intriguing! Yes, no ironing either in this boy-only house! SachaF, Indith and me are the announcements thus far. PMSL at dd3 hanging onto her ted during dinner sweet & funny but I imagine quite annoying too at times! It's their transitional object time isn't it, ds2 has a thing about his fluffy blue jacket and crawls around with it everywhere. I went to pick him up at nursery yesterday and said jokingly 'get your jacket, sweetie' and off he went to the hook to get it!

at no.6 for Magnolia, she hasn't popped on in in a while and things were difficult then.

bp, is it the babywearing swap group or the other one you joined, I was thinking of the swap group myself. I want something for dc3 (more than the pouch sling, baby bjorn and ergo Sorry about interview are you trying to get something that's less commuting? I feel embarrassed too about ds2, he's the only one in his nursery room that's not walking, apparently staff spent an hour on Thurs trying to persuade him!

solo · 18/04/2008 22:47

OOOH! more babies! lucky you! Congratulations! I'm , got no hope of having any more...

GodzillasPimplyBumcheek · 18/04/2008 22:49

Oooh, congrats AQ, and Sacha, wherever you are! good grief, 6? I am stopping here at 3! I like the thought of alot of kids but really i couldn't cope. Besides which, it took me long enough to get DD3.

jabberwocky · 19/04/2008 00:02

6 I was wondering about Magnolia just yesterday - and Sacha too.

Good luck on scan, AQ and fingers crossed for job for bp.

Hope you had a nice date, Godzilla

jabberwocky · 19/04/2008 03:17

Had a look at chat but didn't see magnolia's thread.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 19/04/2008 08:04

Jabber - here is mag's thread. I hope she doesnt mind me linking to it.

Yay for Indith's walker....

And hi to solo and godzilla - nice to see you

Indith · 19/04/2008 09:25

Oh gosh no ds is not walking by himself yet! Just insists on walking everywhere holdiong hands and about the furniture! Sorry for the misinformation! Still not standing by himself either, though this is possibly more due to the fact that he sees standing, wobbling and sitting as a great game.

Very impressed at getting jacket AQ! As ds a question, any question and you just get "yes". Scan will be very exciting, can't believe how time is flying for you!

Good luck sourcing a wrap bp, about interview, I assume they said you would have heard by now.

Glad to see we beat the tv tonight godzilla at the "date"

FunkyGlassSlipper · 19/04/2008 09:41

Lol Indith. I get "yeah" as she shakes her head No.

solo · 19/04/2008 10:51

Thanks FGS. How are things with everyone?

Elibean · 19/04/2008 12:46

Godzilla, they are gorgeous - and your littlest LO looks just like you (apart from the shape of her eyes ). Love the hair on your elder two!

Lol, Indith, at least your ds can sit from the wobble position - dd seems to stiffen her legs, not good for sitting - and 'yes' is better than 'nnnoooooooooonnn', non?

Good to see you, Solo - we're all ok, barring weeks/months of dd2 doing the viral marathon, how are you and yours?

Elibean · 19/04/2008 12:48

AQ, v sweet...and smart...can I book him for dd2's future first date please?

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 19/04/2008 20:10

I had the Mirena fitted in February. I've declared that I don't want any more children but I'm envious of all the oohs and aahs in the discussions of my pregnant friends. I think I'd like all the attention and none of the hard work. That's completely the wrong reason to have any more! I loved "wearing" my pregnant tummy. I want to return to studying once dd2 goes to school - Lennie and Indith, I don't know how you have managed to study with small children!

Hello Solo - I see we're quite local to eachother!

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 19/04/2008 20:15

Oh dear I thought I'd posted here earlier.

Here's the catch up....

Eli - I'm so glad your dd is getting better.

And Godzilla, I have snowman envy. Your one is considerably bigger than mine. (said in the voice of Harry Enfield)

Mag - I'm hoping harmony is restored at home soon. {hug}

Indith · 20/04/2008 13:02

Dp decided to make bacon butties today. I was presented with soggy bacon which hadn't been left in long enought for the fat to get really crisp in burnt bread with a lump of butter sitting in the middle on top of the bacon that he had not even attempted to spread around. And somehow the bread had got soggy too so it was kind of like eating limp salt and fat on a warm charcoal covered sponge.

Now dp is a fantastic cook as a rule but this has reminded me why I do the fry up if we have bacon in the house!

Mind you it could just be me, the leek and potato soup I just ate tasted very odd. Dp and Ds ate it

Ds woke twice again last night, firt time went back to sleep with dp sitting by him, second time screamed, flung himself about our bed screaming and arching his back until does with medised when he cuddled up to me and went to sleep.

And it was the first night in ages that we had gone to bed eary and mustered up some energy instead of just rolling over for a quick shag before going to sleep.

OP posts:
babypowder · 20/04/2008 13:38

Is it youth that allows you to have any kind of shag at all? I can't even muster up the energy for a good snog, let along anything else I keep falling asleep on the couch at 9:30.

solo · 20/04/2008 13:59

Hi Elibean, yes, we are ok thanks. Dd still keeping me awake through the nights, so completely shattered, and Ds is being himself!!!

Margo, yes we are almost neighbours! how are you going?

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 20/04/2008 14:03

hand-holding is the most adventurous thing happening at chez Margo.

We had a full night of wide awake children.

I think dd2 is cutting a back tooth.

solo · 20/04/2008 14:13

Hey Mums! Just HAD to add that I had my first shag in 20 months last night...not bragging or anything !!! actually, it was fun, but hardly fulfilling as my pelvic floor is shot to bits so it was a case of sausage/Blackwall tunnel is it in yet? sorry tmi, but I'm not really sure how to deal with it, my exercise plan is just not working...sigh...

Indith · 20/04/2008 17:44
