Oooops no room to link to old thread!

Lol at AQ forgetting that she is pg Sure the madness will pass. And don't worry about my chocolate supply, I live round the corner from Tesco

Jabber I think you should pop ds in the post and I'll sned him on holiday with all my clibing friends, they do similarly dangerous stunts on a larger scale. He'd have a ball

BP. Slounds like you had a v crap physio.

Indith · 17/04/2008 16:31

I shall gladly demonstrate

If a wrap is what you want then given your size, kiskidee reliably tells me that you would probably be able to do most carries with a 4.2. You want a woven wrap not stretchy so an ellaroo, storchie, didymos etc. Depends what you want to do really, my ellaroo is very long which is great for a newborn to do cross carries but these days I pretty much only carry ds in a rucksack so am enjoying having the short wrap on loan as it is much easier to just fling him up there without huge long tails to deal with.

Mum had been prepared for the possibility with the dress, she is ok! At the moment she is the only family who knows as she kind of had to.

Oh yes, we went to a sling meet int he botanic gardens today, ds got very muddy walking around everywhere and falling flat on his face every time he let go of me. Started raining as we were leaving so when we got home we both got into pjs and had a lovely snuggle

bebespain · 17/04/2008 17:01

Ds slept in this morning until 9.45!!! I still can´t believe it although I´m certain it was a malfunction and don´t expect it to happen again!

We´ve had no afternoon nap though so my happiness has been short-lived! And its raining again!

Hope poorly LOs are much better

Back to blighty at the weekend (yeah) so off to write my shopping list, must keep it short or DH will divorce me!

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 17/04/2008 20:53

Congrats Indith. I read your "announcement" and it went right over my head

One of my friends (who I met through MN) is pg with twins. How exciting!

Aw BP. Hope you can change your therapist and sort your ab wall.

LenniEd · 17/04/2008 21:06

Wow! Congratulations Indith... have you tried peppermint tea for the bloating... god I'm coming over all 'pregnancy solution headed'... 2 years out of the game and its all coming flooding back Hoping to join you soon, now got to get back to studying... will remember to check that thread you mentioned at some point.

Have a good weekend bebespain... it was lovely and sunny here this morning - won't mention what happened this afternoon though, suffice it to say I shouldn't have bothered spending half an hour straightening my hair

jabberwocky · 17/04/2008 21:30

Sling meet and then a snuggle - awwww, I miss those moments with pfb

FGS, meant to mention that it would certainly be interesting seeing my ds1 and your dd1 together! They sound like two peas in a pod, lol.

Indith · 17/04/2008 21:49

Farking hell I'd forgotten those stabbing pains right down bellow when you sneeze! Ouch! Will not go and post that on the 08 thread, they will all start panicking Tis still all 'I got a BFP' 'I've got no symptoms' 'I'm throwing up all day' over there. Of course we were never like that at all, oh no no absolutely never....

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 17/04/2008 22:03

Had to smile at that, indith, I was getting really bored of 'I've got no symptoms' or whingeing about being sick! I of course NEVER complain about anything

Elibean · 17/04/2008 22:10

OMG, OMG, congratluations Indith!! And Christmas Eve too....dd1 was 22nd, one of her friends is 24th, hospitals were very jolly at that time of year Well done you, wow, thats three of you pg....now I can be vicariously pregnant at thee different stages of it all at the same time...

Not had time to catch up with anything else - dd2 being better, but still poorly enough to stick like glue - but am delighted to catch up with that bit of news.

Elibean · 17/04/2008 22:11

Congratulations, that is.

I like sngry, BP.

Indith · 17/04/2008 22:12

I'm sure they are all lovely, in fact I've seen some of them around elsewhere and they seen lovely, just can't be arsed at the moment, shall stick my nose in every so often until it settles down a bit. How are you anyway? Remembering you are pg yet? I'm just marvelling at how quickly symptoms take hold as soon as you go over your AF due date.

Indith · 17/04/2008 22:16

Hospitals? Hospitals? Good luck dragging me to one of those! Have you seen the intervention rate at my local! (well no obviously, it would be a slightly random thing to look up!)

Poor dd2, onwards and upwards though i hope.

OP posts:
margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 17/04/2008 23:50

Did you have a home birth last time Indith? I would have loved to have had a home birth, alas, my gestational diabetes put a dampner on any non intervention plans.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 18/04/2008 09:02

All this talk of babies has actually helped me to realise that I am really happy with my family as it is. I think I will be stopping at two! I'm not totally ruling it out but I think it is unlikely.

Babysteps Day 10 - you can do anything in 15 minutes!

Indith · 18/04/2008 11:22

I did indeed Margo.

That has got to be a nice feeling FGS, to know that you are happy and complete

Sleep was not had last night, I sent dp up to the spare room and cuddled ds but he was not a happy boy for some reason. So today I am shattered but ds is wide awake and on the rampage!

Made the mistake of going to the shop down the road earlier and got soaked too.

Oh and got a letter from student loans saying they are going to take £1700 back from me. I forgot to send a form back, my own fault but a reminder would have been nice! So I will not be getting a loan payment on Monday as I should be. Better take a good look at the finances Hopefully once the form is in they will reassess and I'll get it back but maybe not all of it.

OP posts:
bebespain · 18/04/2008 14:26

Awwww Indith, just twigged - a massive ENHORABUENA from us!!!! Yippee!!!

Thanks LenniED - I can´t wait, love going back "home"

Still raining here (sorry to sound like a broken record) you think I´d be used to it I am from Manchester after all!

Indith · 18/04/2008 15:21

you should indeed be used to rain! My sister lives in Manchester, I have it on good authority that it is always bloody damp

Ds had all of half an hour nap after being instructed to sleep for at least 2 hours so we went for a walk and am now feeling rather more awake. Also aided by the fact that we found a huge tub of duplo in a charity shop, lugged it home and ds is totally absorbed.

OP posts:
bebespain · 18/04/2008 18:39

Hmmm duplo now there´s an idea!

Elibean · 18/04/2008 19:35

Indith, you sound soo happy (in spite of lack of kip: the wonder of hormones, eh....)

Its very nice to hear/read. Forgot you had a home birth, wonderful...would have liked a midwifery centre thingy myself, but no chance at my age, with transverse babies! At home even better, Xmas-wise, anyway...

Bebe, sounds like you need some more of my famous sunshine vibes....not much of those around in SW London today unfortunately...

Elibean · 18/04/2008 19:37

Nearly forgot dd is much much better today - in amazingly high spirits, shouting 'yeay, yeay' and 'nooooon' in equal amounts, and playing with dd1 (ironing dolls clothes, definitely not got that from me ).

Such a huge relief, when she's well, I start really enjoying parenthood

Elibean · 18/04/2008 19:38

FGS, me, too. Possibly be different if I were younger, but as things are, two is just perfect.

Indith · 18/04/2008 21:14

Aw bless her, glad she is well. Ds spent a large portion of the evening racing round and round the coffee table waving at me and saying hello

He gives very good cuddles at the moment but is going through a bit of a "needing reassurance" phase which is spilling over into sleep, hence the ending up in my bed when he wakes. Has already woken this evening, perfectly happy in cot as long as I was there stroking him (because you do stroke babies don't you, you hug adults or rub their backs but babies are definitely stroked) then went to sleep with the door open and the landing light on. This from my son who until now has been a "leave me alone in the pitch dark please mum" kind of child. Ah well, can't do anything with this sort of phase except pander to it really can you. Hope he copes ok with going back to creche though.

accessorizequeen · 18/04/2008 22:08

Is ds walking now, indith? I had missed that, if that's right...ds2 is 16.5 months and will NOT take a step. Stands for ages having a boogie though, clearly those chunky thighs are up for it. I lurrrrve cuddling/stroking him, he's a little bit poorly and just cuddled dp & I all evening, wouldn't get off our laps. This after 4 hour nap this afternoon. I am truly blessed What are chances of getting a little star like him again?? Having daydreams constantly about seeing LO on the scan on Tues, because I haven't even heard heartbeat yet I'm going to be so relieved he/she is ok and hopefully alone in there.
Haven't heard from sacha for several weeks?
eli, v.v.glad to hear dd2 on the mend somewhat!

babypowder · 18/04/2008 22:21

Good news, Eli!

AQ, DD2 isn't walking either. It seems that the 3 steps she took independently a few weeks ago are the sum total of her ambulatory phase. It's getting a bit embarrassing now!

Just joined the Yahoo babywearing group, hoping for a second hand wrap from someone. I do love networks (tho the idea of Facebook, Myspace, etc leaves me completely cold)

Interview went fantastically well, but haven't heard anything, so I assume I was pipped at the post. Ho hum.

I was wondering about Sacha too.
