BZ, try www.usednappies.co.uk. I think fury has sold stuff thrugh that site, and holly has stuff listed at the moment.

I'm in two minds whether to give it another go at the moment, but she has outgrown her wraps, and I don't want to shell out more money and find I don't use them

BadZelda · 21/02/2008 15:01

Although I have just got stroppy with DH because I want to do a couple of hours writing this afternoon, and he was hanging around with the kids and whittering at me instead of taking them out to playgroup. I looked after them all morning and give him every friday off to do whatever he wants (stay in bed all morning, go shopping etc etc) where he doesn't have to worry about any house / family stuff. AIBU?

BadZelda · 21/02/2008 15:19

Thanks for the tip Daisy - have registered and will give it a go, though I have never sold anything online before!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 21/02/2008 15:39

I registered ages ago BZ, and like you I've never sold on-line before.

DH sells lots on e-bay but he doesn't want me clogging up his reputation as a seller of cameras with our old baby bits!

BadZelda · 21/02/2008 16:09

Yeah - I tend to give things away instead through sheer laziness. Though I regretted having given lots of baby things away when I had DD2...wonder if I'll have any more? Part of me would like to, then I think about money etc and think we probably can't afford more than two. Is that the wrong approach?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 21/02/2008 16:25

ask me that next week BZ.......we're in the middle of an "Am I, Aren't I" debacle

milkyJammy · 21/02/2008 16:25

Afternoon all
Hi BZ, long time no see.
Well I've cleaned the kitchen up, so just need to decide what to do about the cupboard now. Until then all the groceries are piled up on the dining table.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 21/02/2008 16:26

and we certainly can't afford it!

BadZelda · 21/02/2008 16:44

Hi Jammy! (and sputnik and holly I forgot to wave earlier ) Yeah - I got an inkling of that from further down the thread...goodness me! Exciting and scary at the same time I should think. I NEVER felt broody after having DD1 (DD2 was a bit of a slip-up) but have been feeling v. broody in the last couple of months. No slip-ups possible this time though, unless I manually remove my coil [urrgghhhh emoticon]

BadZelda · 21/02/2008 17:35

Oh dear....have I killed the thread?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 21/02/2008 18:00

you haven't killed it ...tea time for us, and there was some server problem going on with MN.

DS has been his usual charming self this evening, and I've had to switch the TV off as he wet himself, then tried to tell me he didn't realise and thought it was just sweat , then finally admitted it was because he didn't want to miss any of his programme. am so with him, as we have been getting lots of this recently, but I'm wondering if it's just attention seeking?

so he is in his jammies; we are going to do ten minutes of reading and then he is going to bed.

annobal · 21/02/2008 19:07

Evening everyone, dcs all in bed and so far remaining quiet. And breathe...

jammy, how are you feeling now? That must have really shaken you up - hope you feel a little calmer.

Hi BZ - good to see you back & happy.

Norty - don't worry, I think everyone feels like that. I certainly do and a good cry and cuddle works wonders .

Hi Holly. I picked up a leaflet from Nappies for London (or something like that). They give you a free nappy when you register - not sure what it is but thought I'd investigate. You probably already know about it but if you are interested I will post details.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 21/02/2008 19:51

Evening all, welcome back BZ.

Norty sorry you are having a tough time with DD. It's ok not to love being at home with her all the time. Sounds like she is just going through a difficult phase. They often coincide with a developmental stage, you might find she settles down and suddenly starts crawling or something. is it a wonder week?

DH and I have been POSL watch DD eat spaghetti. She was properly sucking it up

foxythesnowman · 21/02/2008 19:55

hello, another busy day. this hard term is bloody hard work!

Nice to 'see' you again BZ. Glad things are working out well.

Norty, I find it helps to tell myself that they are warm, loved, clean, safe and fed. Then it is OK to ignore the attention seeking for a few minutes while you have a cup of tea/poo/cry whatever it is you need on your own at that moment. Oh, and if you feel awful about it, take a peek at them sleeping.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 21/02/2008 20:04

"hard" term foxy? I see it is having an effect on you

We had ours last week, I only had DS for one full day and even that was too much....you are truly a queen among mothers

I've bloody well got bloody effing sodding thrush again. I feel like I can claw my nipples off they are so fecking itchy and sore .

LOL bumper at that book; according to the chart we should just be coming into a sunny period at the moment

Sputnik · 21/02/2008 20:18

Daisy it must be so tough with your DS on your own all week, I don't envy you. I have put mine both to bed and I'm just hanging around waiting for DH to roll home so we can eat......

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 21/02/2008 20:21

aw cheers sputnik. He is at an age where he wants lots of interaction and stimulation and I think he finds it hard that DD seems to get most of my attention at the moment. I'm trying to do something positive fo just the two of us at the weekends so he feels a bit more "loved" iyswim.

foxythesnowman · 21/02/2008 20:33

Indeed, its all too much!

I think my children are in their beds. Even the lo.

Sorry to hear you have thrush again Daisy. You really have been through it, haven't you?

I'm signing off now. Will be on loads tomorrow as having a slack hands-off parenting day tomorrow. It is very important to a child's development for them to fill their own time, don'tcha know?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 21/02/2008 20:48

I'm off to sort, bag and label nappies.....woo hoo

milkyJammy · 21/02/2008 20:57

And i'm just popping in for a moment's break from sewers - woo hoo too!

milkyJammy · 21/02/2008 21:00

Ew! Just reading about workers inhaling or inadvertantly ingesting sewage particles. , but not with envy.

Sputnik · 21/02/2008 21:07

Sounds like a barrel of laughs [yuk]

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 21/02/2008 21:12

Are you enjoying being back at work Jammy? Foxy, good idea about tomorrow, independent play, right on!

milkyJammy · 21/02/2008 21:20

Yes Bumper I am Not so sure about this working in the evening lark, but the 2 days at work are great.

Sputnik · 21/02/2008 21:36

Know what you mean Jammy. I am starting to get the odd bit of work. I can do it during the 1 1/2 - 2 hour window I have during lunchtime nap, or in the evening. I always hated working in the evening.
