Glad he's starting to feel a bit better, LTH. Our 21 days incubation is up tomorrow, and no spots so far on ds1, so looks like he's not going to get it - perhaps a good thing after all.
No news. dh off out, so I shall do the ironing with a dvd for company. What a life.

Wilkie · 17/02/2008 20:31

EAH - yes I went to M&Ds today and she did full roast beef dinner. Plus my fave auntie has come over from germany who I haven't seen for 8 years so it was lovely to catch up. J was totally smitten with her too!!

God I will be glad this time next week cos we should know either way about DH's job.

LTH - glad G is getting a bit better. I still wish J would get it out the way with.

Reggiee · 17/02/2008 20:45

Hi all.
Glad G is on the mend LTH.
PCF smelly pus....urgh poor M! Hope it's not too sore.
2H what DVD are you going to watch? Saw Atonement last week and was really good.
Wilkie glad you got through theweekend! Fingers massively cossesd for DH's job.
Eah you are always soo busy! I imagine you get bored if you don't have anything to do. Now I enjoy sitting down doing very litte (lazy...me....? )

HAd a good weekend. My oldest friend came over with her 21 monthold on Fri / Sat, then today dh and I actually spent time together as a family - just the three of us. Went to town and had a lovely lunch, then DH bought a Playstation3. Another games console in the house. Yawn. Anyway, keeping him out of mischief at the moment.

Had a busy couple of weeks. Been in Oxford and London with work, then loads of people to stay. Just so nice chilling with a bottle of beer.

UD how are things with you atm? Had an eye test last week and thought of you Off to pick up my new glasses tomrorow (I am soooo blind) - think I'm having a mid life crisis cos one of the pairs is red and the other is black with 'bling' sparkly bits on the side.

Reggiee · 17/02/2008 20:48

Oh oh oh...can't believe I forgot to say that P is finally cruising, and has reached that walking holding on to me or with her baby walker stage (ok, I know most of yours have been doing it for ages, but she looks sooooo cure ). She is being a real sweetie atm, and is so cuddly. She flings her arms around my neck and goes 'ahhhhhhh' .

Wilkie · 17/02/2008 20:50

Reggiee - promise me if DH gets the job that you will come and see me, and I can come and see you?? Only about 35 mins.

Wilkie · 17/02/2008 20:50

AnD... 'Go P, GO!!' [GRIN]

Reggiee · 17/02/2008 21:02

Wilkie - of course!!!!!!!!!!! You can come and see me now too you know!!

theUrbanDryad · 17/02/2008 22:20

hi everyone - glad to see you've all missed me!! we have been ill Chez Urban and actually had the IL's come up on Tues to look after us. Z had conjunctivitis and fever, blocked nose etc and then i got it, so it was all fun. then on Thurs we went up to the IL's, and took him to the doc's there as he screamed solidly for 5 hours in the night no matter what i did, and he has a chest infection. so he's on antibiotic drops for his eyes - and he's being sooooo good with them (possibly something to do with the chocolate button he gets afterwards ) - and anti-b's for his chest i think he's lost weight as he didn't eat for about a week and just wanted to lie on the sofa with me and nurse poor little man.

LTH - i'm glad G is better, like Wilkie i'm a tiny bit glad i'm not the only panicky mum! Z has had Maccy D's before - ARREST ME NOW FOOD POLICE!! i figure the chicken nuggets aren't too bad and he's never had the chips, although it pisses me off that they never have the fruit bags!

Shimmer - i am on facebook, i will add you as a friend in a mo. i put loads of new pics up there, so you have to look and comment at my cute child!! i'm with LaL you should definitely ask your dh to marry you on the 29th!!

Jodie - if you're lurking, is the book helping at all?

Vino - glad to hear the scan was ok. hope the rest of your pg is lovely and simple!

RG - where've you been?

Can't remember any others, sorry, hope you're all well. it's my birthday tomorrow and my friend is coming up to see me and Z is in nursery all day!

ladytophamhatt · 18/02/2008 08:01

my period is due tomorrow.

I usually get a few signs that its about to start....and I haven't.

God, I don't know how I feel about it all now. I think want to be, but then I think again and "Fucking hell!! 5???" pops into my mind.

Dh keeps asking if Ive come on because I think he's bricking it.

What will be will be, I suppose.

eandh · 18/02/2008 09:40

LTH like you said what will be, will be!

Both girls are under the weather, Hattie still refusing all food and was up from 10pm to 2am am hoping its teeth and this nasty cold she and not this bug my Mum has had. Have come into work as cant really have another day off and just spoke to my Mum and she siad Hattie is snoring away in her pushchair (apparently she was trying to climb into it so my Mum took the hint that she was tired)

UD - bless zac being so good

Rgee- well done Pippa!!!!!

Wilkie - sounds as if you had lovely weekend

Happy birthday UD, hope you feel better.
Hope G is also continuing to improve. ds2 appears to have infected one of the other children at the CM's [guilty].

Ok, quite sure I'm not PG.
The signs I get have started now. It is unusal that they start this late but maybne its coz I'm getting old

Feel quite disappointed and sad. Thats our (my) last chance gone I think.....He won't agree with it again i'm sure of that.

ladytophamhatt · 18/02/2008 19:49

Btw sorry, i keep turning thsi thread all around to me and my woes.

Atttention seeker should be my middle name.

Sorry.

Wilkie · 18/02/2008 19:51

Makes a change from me LTH

I'm still crying!

eandh · 18/02/2008 20:24

aww Lth you never know he may change his mind, I know you love ((((hugs)))) so there was a big one for you!

Wilkie- you okay mate?

laughalot · 18/02/2008 21:50

I think we need a big meetup to cheer us all up

ladytophamhatt · 19/02/2008 08:39

with me period arriving I thought "right...I need to do something with my life. he's not going to agree again so now I need to look to the future and do something for me...forget all this and do somwthing different"

I went to yahoo and typed "teaching assistant course in east sussex" as thsi is what I was due to do whe i fell PG witj G.

Then I noticed the picture on their news section.

A new born baby ( I didn't(couldn't) read the report)

I just feel gutted that its not going to happen. There no way he'll agree to it and its feels crap.
I had prepared myself for being PG, I was looking forward to it....but its all gone and I feel so sad.

The thing is I do understand his reason for not trying again.

We've got 4 already for a start.
Our time is so thinly spread between them that adding another would make that even worse.
We can't really do anything altogether as a family to please everyone....Ds1 likes x, ds2 likes y, ds3 likes z so we usually end up doing a, b or c so to avoid more arguments so adding anothjer baby into that will only make it worse again.
Dh often ends up taking ds1 or 2 out, then ds3 wants to do something else so I'm left behind at home with G and which ever other Ds.
But most of all its is hard work looking after all these children....and as per usual ds1 makes it especially hard with his behaviour.

See it does all make perfect sense....but I feel robbed of my last chance.

ladytophamhatt · 19/02/2008 16:44

I have to say he might live to regret it anyway because proir to all thsi my libido was racing and I never said no.

Now though, I think my libido has raced off.

I have no desire AT ALL, not one bit. (not that I would with my AF here...I have enough washing with all that as well. Ewwwwww)

eandh · 19/02/2008 16:46

Ummm not sure what to say LTH

UD - sorry forgot to wish you happy birthday yesterday

Had a shit night H awake for hours again, took them to Drs this monring E has chest infection and H has ear infection, popped to Boots to get prescriptions (Wilkie I asked about that free calpol/nufofen minor ailments thing and no chemist in the whole of Maidstone participates ) did you know if you joing boots health club (free) you get half price Boots own calpol/nurfoen so did that.

Popped to bakers to get treats for lunch (they seem to have got a little of their appitites back) and then been home rest of te day. Have done loads though as H had 2.5hour nap and Ellie was conteneted colouring so I cleaned conservatory, playroom, kitchen and lounge windows (inside and outside) polished all the room and swept and handwashed all the floors downstairs. Plus I bleached all the grouting in the bathroom and gave the whole bathroom a good scrub so feels 'clean' in this house (dh will moan it stinks of zoflora and bleach when he gets home)

Bummer is that we got letter from dh work and they overpaid him and 600 other employees in december and now taking money back, we can either pay it all back in one month or over two either way its a PITA when it wasnt even our fault (did think he'd had good pay that month but he'd done loads of overtime so didnt really question it)

eandh · 19/02/2008 16:48

x post LTH but that comment made me hit him where it hurts

ladytophamhatt · 19/02/2008 16:54

EandH, you've done more housework this afternoon the I do in a week

Thats no exaggeration either....

Re the libido thing, its not a deliberate thing, its just gone. But i will use it to my advantage anyway
He's fucked me off allllll day, He's faffing about i the garden atm, G has been screaming while I try and do the dinner so I bundled him up and parked him in his buggy outr with DH and said "WHile you're farting about out here,I'm trying to do dinner....YOU sort him out!"

Dinner is sorted now, that why I'm here.
