I was tempted to write the subject with reference to NM .

kittywise · 17/03/2008 22:16

Yeah Foxy I looked the london school hols up and as you say they are the same as ours so dc's and I will go ahead with our trip to the "bluddy tower" as dd1 puts it!!

DD1(6) had an itchy bum this evening so I checked it
( lovely) got her to bend over in good light and hoped that I couldn't see any wriggly creatures there and guess what as I was a wiping she farted in my face!!! Little minx, oh how we laughed!!!

fitfox · 18/03/2008 08:52

Oh Dear what a rude awakening Kitty

LOL at Bluddy Tower

We had a bit of foul language here at midnight last night when DS1 sat up and vommed all over the bed - Alien style. DH found him and had to clear up. He swore very loudly (clearly hoping I would wake up and offer to help) but I just couldn't hear!!!

muppetisacat · 18/03/2008 09:43

Our hols are separate to easter bank hols too...

kitty - pmsl - did she have any little friends??? I am not v. good with coping with parasites/lice etc... tend to run round shouting whenever i happen across things like that

hello to rizzo

polar seems to have disappeared!

diva ... do you feel pre-menstrual?

kiwibella · 18/03/2008 11:03

the difference in the school hols is down to individual schools - and private doing their own thing as Foxy said. My friend's son goes to school in Streatham and they are also finishing up at Easter yet Lambeth borough doesn't break until April?? When I was working, my HT said that London Boroughs had an agreement so that all school hols fell at the same time. The reason that they aren't at Easter is to sort-of even out the term... we've only just had half term!! Teacher's hat off .

although I probably should't.... LOL at Kitty and Foxy's dcs!!!!

Glad that you got the result you want Diva .

Oh no... Blonde... when will your dh know what is happening?

Muppet... my dh is like you and can't deal with any ails - he is useless when the children vomit, he can't even look .

Kate was up for two hours last night ... no reason... not upset... just cuddled with eyes wide open

Divastrop · 18/03/2008 11:57

theblonde-when will you find out for sure?

kitty-lovely!i dont know if i could bring myself to look for worms.dd1 had an itchy bum a couple of months ago so i gave her some pile cream and said 'here, use this'(she had been a bit constipated so i just assumed).

the whole of cumbria's school holidays start thursday.it is rather stupidly soon after half term.

i am in pre-menstrual limbo.i had all the mood swings which calmed down towards the end of last week, and since friday i have had the physical symptoms i normally get(5lbs of water retention, sore boobs, spots, dry hair, food cravings, cramps)but not even the teeniest hint of spotting.the thing is,although dh and i have been intimate over the past month,im pretty sure he didnt 'finish' any time...sorry this is tmi .

i keep meaning to have some gin but its been so long i am finding it difficult to bring myself to drink.

i have been avoiding the pc in the evenings as i got told off for arguing on another forum,so i am having an internet break and reading instead.

ReverseThePolarity · 18/03/2008 12:48

I'm here I'm just finding it difficult to keep up.

Foxie read about your marriage probs earlier on... how are things now? I hope you get things sorted out - didn't you say you had been down this route before or am I making things up?

Kitty how do you feel about you & your dp going your separate ways? Are you relieved or sad?

I read your other thread btw. I was really quite shocked by how many people jumped to the conclusion that your ds was lying and you were overreacting! I didn't read it until it was over and didn't want to reply and bump it, but really, I was very surprised actually and found it concerning.

What struck me was, if you had posted a thread saying you had pushed him, you'd have as many posters again coming on to call you all sorts of names. Probably the same posters!

Hi Rizzo, welcome to the thread

Evenhope that must've been scary. Glad you're back in one piece.

Muppet good luck to your sister.

Bella, how are things?

Diva - could it be the effect of coming off the ADs messing with your af?

theBlonde when will you know for certain?

Hello to everyone else.

Dh's eye is slowly recovering after op, in a few weeks he is going to have a staged return to work. Bertie is well, crawling, pulling up, cruising, and every single word he says is "whada?" "whada?" with pointing. He is developing food preferences now too - he used to eat everything in front of him but now he will taste things and spit them out if he's not keen!

Can't believe our babies are nearly all a year old ... where's the time gone?

spongecake · 18/03/2008 13:58

hi, am here too, and trying to keep up.
evenhope, that sounds so scary
reversy, glad your dh is receovering. bertie sounds very confident.

oops, ds has woken

Divastrop · 18/03/2008 16:02

af has arrived

fitfox · 18/03/2008 19:08

Congrats Diva!!

kittywise · 18/03/2008 19:29

Hooray diva!!!!
I'm late but I'm def not pg !!!

fitfox · 18/03/2008 20:35

Immaculate conception?

bethoo · 18/03/2008 20:40

hi everyone, hope all is well. i have been watching this thread.
congrats to Jay, wow a biggy. just more gorgeousness to go around!

ReverseThePolarity · 18/03/2008 20:52

Diva pleased to hear you're not pg.

I am a bit of those of you with AF actually. I had some terrible pains about three months ago and half a day's period... and still nothing since then, apart from the odd twinge around the time my period would normally be. Sounds strange I know, but I would quite like to have my periods back now... still it means Bertie must be getting quite a bit of milk even though I'm away from him in the day, which is comforting I s'pose.

TheBlonde · 18/03/2008 22:19

Phew Diva! Relieved for you

Hi Bethoo - hope you are well, how is pg going?

Probably won't know about DH's job for some time. Deal has to be approved first and then they are probably going to halve the workforce so they'll have to do a 90 day consultation
He is talking to people about other possibilities

kittywise · 19/03/2008 09:42

Hooray Ronnie's cast came off yesterday. He got to have a bath for the first time in 5 weeks

muppetisacat · 19/03/2008 10:40

kitty - how does his arm appear? I remember when dd had her cast taken off her little arm was about half the width of the other! Doesn't take them long to get muscle tone back etc... bet he loves the new freedom

diva - congrats on af

bethoo - are your pg symptoms easing? My sis has scan at 7pm tonight... will let you know how it goes.

polar - I'd settle for not having periods back... but just now bfding enough any more so they are here to stay i guess...

muppetisacat · 19/03/2008 10:41

hi to everyone else!

fitfox · 19/03/2008 10:47

Kitty - well done Ronnie - I bet you are both pleased! Is his arm all skinny and white now then?

Bethoo - how is PG going then?

kittywise · 19/03/2008 11:07

Amazingly it looks just like the other arm, but then the good arm is skinny too, so........

Fingers crossed for you sis muppet!!

How's it going at home foxy?

kiwibella · 19/03/2008 12:25

yay for Diva and yay for Ronnie!! He must feel so free without that weight on his arm .

We had another restless night - wide awake at 4am once again. After half an hour of cuddling, I just fed her so we could go back to sleep.

One of my breasts is in agony today. I think it is to do with one of her feeds yesterday - I remember thinking that she had a crap latch but didn't do anything about it.

Glad you are still popping in Bethoo.... thinking about Rosy in Pakistan and wondering where Piffle is ???

OP posts:
fitfox · 19/03/2008 12:32

Kiwi ooh poor you!!

Kitty slightly improved here. Atmosphere has improved and relations are a wee bit friendlier. Will have to see how it goes I guess. How about you?

fitfox · 19/03/2008 13:05

Have just noticed that Ds2 has large amounts of yellow fluid pouring out of his left ear - this is in addition to impetigo and an infected finger.

I had arrange for 3 children to come back with us this arvo for a playdate but have now had to quickly re-arrange so all the boys go to another house!!! Can't face taking 6 kids to the Doctors later on!

Lordy!!

kittywise · 19/03/2008 18:56

Oh poor monti did the dr cure him???

fitfox · 19/03/2008 19:05

Hi Kitty

She gave him Penicillin which should zap the ear infection, squashed finger infection and impetigo completely. Just hope he doesn't get thrush over the bank holiday weekend.

It certainly explains why he has been waking me hourly and crying for the past few nights - his ear must've been hurting a lot, poor wee chubba

kittywise · 19/03/2008 20:12

Give him a hug from me.

(d)p is being a wanker [anger] but actually I don't care that much. Glad things are a little bt better for you at home.
