Hi Jay [waves in awe]!!!

So I have Kiwi, Kitty, Diva and possibly Spice so far.

I'll tell you the dates I can do:

Anyday between 22 March and 30 March inclusive. Also any Saturday.

Our hols might be different to other peoples: kids break up on 19th and return on 7 April. But we can do Bank Hols and Saturdays

Kitty you can park on our street no probs. In fact Richmond probably had the highest ratio of 4x4s and people carriers in the UK . Seriously, plenty of spec and no parking restrictions here.

BTW we are close to M4, M3, A205, A406 and A316 - very easy to find.

Oooh am getting excited

Tell me which dates you can do out of these please by cutting and pasting:

22 March Foxie 24 March

Foxie

26 March Foxie 28 March Foxie 29 March

Foxie

Would prefer later date:?

happy birthday hassan
hope you have a good trip rosy(but dont be coming back a stone lighter)

bella-another vote for the CAB here.i went to them when xh left me up to my eyeballs in it and it all got neatly sorted very quickly.

are the finacial problems the main cause of problems in the relationship?i hope thats the only issue, its one that can be resolved.

i know its no comfort to you but did you see gordon ramsey the other night?the resaurant owner admitted to being around $500k in debt in front of his wife-it was the first she'd heard of it

things are pretty ok here at the moment.hearing from xp makes me realise what a generally good relationship dh and i have.

i have just spent 2 hours 'helping' the dc to make eggs for the easter competition(ie helped dd1 and ds2 but actually made ds1's for him).it was quite fun, actually.

Divastrop · 15/03/2008 21:28

spice-when i was single i used to envy loving couples i saw out and about, but most of them were about 15.i used to listen to the women at post-natal group and think 'thank god i'm single'.but we wouldnt be human if we didnt have the desire to be with someone special.

there are plenty aliens on MN

kiwibella · 15/03/2008 21:55

Diva... it is much more than just the money. He has a stupid plan for sorting that out... hence my foolish ultimatum to get out of here and leave him to it.

22 MarchFoxie24 March
Foxie
Bella could do this date

26 MarchFoxie Bella28 March
Foxie
MissE's birthday!!!

I can't do either of these Saturday's but I could do the following couple - if that helps??? I wonder if Piffle can make it down? Foxie... are you near a tube or rail station?

Kitty reading your thread!!! It's a shame that you weren't given any advice for your original question. I hope that the head-teacher was supportive and is coming back to update you on his investigation / resolution. Poor ds.

fitfox · 16/03/2008 13:01

Thanks Kiwi - anyone else???

What's his plan Kiwi - or can you not say on here?

Kitty/Diva - that thread is unbelievable. May pop in there later to stir it up a bit

kittywise · 16/03/2008 13:06

Foxy I'll check on the calendar and get back to you later

Rizzo2005 · 16/03/2008 17:56

Hi there

I've got 2 kids, one of whom is S, born 25 March 2007. I can't believe that she'll be one in a week! I had a joint party yesterday for both children (only a week apart) and she had a ball, especially on the bouncy castle!

can i share photos here? how do i do that?

ReverseThePolarity · 16/03/2008 20:36

Jay, congrats on yet another huge 'un!

Everyone else, sorry, been busy in rl, will pop back properly tomorrow & catch up.

evenhope · 16/03/2008 20:53

Sorry I haven't been back with an update. We are suffering the most awful jetlag, especially poor little DD. I am wide awake at 11pm, she wakes between 3-5 am. By midday I'm shattered. DD sleeps from 2pm until 11pm then is ready to play. She wants to feed all night and won't let go even when asleep.

It was lovely being in the warm sun and a shock to come back to rain.

I really don't recommend long long longhaul flights with a child of this age.....

On the way back we took off from LAX and had only been in the air a short time when there was an enormous bang and a shudder. Engine 4 was on fire We went round and round dumping fuel for 40 minutes before going back to LAX, to be met by loads of fire engines!

Jay many congrats on your huge baby

Foxie I'd love to come but I'm not sure about the dates. Can't get away this coming week because all the kids are coming home for DD's christening on Easter Sunday. I don't work Monday or Friday.

kittywise · 17/03/2008 10:54

Foxy, when are your school holidays? I ask because my kids don't break you until April so those dates are out for me .

muppetisacat · 17/03/2008 11:04

evenhope OMG I would have absolutely cacked myself ... were you not panicking??????? So glad you are back safely.

We're away in Bath again for Easter to escape builders and visit my family. My sis has her 12 week scan on wednesday... very nervous!!

Divastrop · 17/03/2008 11:48

hi rizzo2005

you have to set up a profile page in 'my mumsnet' to share pics.

evenhope-that must have been so scary!

kitty-your kids dont break up till april even though easter is this weekend?its hrdly the easter holidays is it?mine finish on thursday

my af is late.i dont do late.it was due yesterday, which would have been day 26.my cycle has always been 24-26 days since i had dd1,but i usually get spotting 2-3 days before.but ive had nothing.dh says its probably because of the messing about with my ad's.its fucking better had be.

evenhope · 17/03/2008 12:25

Luckily we didn't realise how serious the situation was until we were off the plane, so it didn't occur to us to panic. The cabin staff were all very calm, although the pilot telling us he would switch off the seat belt signs to enable people to be with "family and friends" made us a bit

They told us they were dumping fuel because the plane would be too heavy to land. It occurred to us much much later that it was more likely they were afraid the fuel would ignite

fitfox · 17/03/2008 13:10

HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY EVERYONE!!!

Evenhope - that sound svery scary - bet you were glad to get off that plane!!

Kitty - so do your return to school for 2 weeks, then get a "spring break"?

Mine have two and a half weeks from this Weds until 7 April.

Hmmm - shall we postpone meet up for a few weeks and try for a bank hol/Saturday/May half term maybe???

Kiwi what do you think? I would be very happy to see you even if no one else can make it over Easter, then maybe we could try a bigger meet in a few weeks?

Any ideas anyone?

kittywise · 17/03/2008 14:36

Yeah Foxy they do.
Shit I'm going to London on the 28th with three of them. I thought I'd take 'em out of school so that I could avoid the holiday crowds but London kids are going to be on hols

kiwibella · 17/03/2008 15:55

we go back for two weeks before the hols too... it's really strange because, when I was working, we were told there would be consistency across the London boroughs this year - but individual schools have done their own thing?!?!

Foxie... I am happy to wait until everyone can get together.

Evenhope... how concerning about the fire!! I'm still stuck on dumping fuel - where??? across the land???? cos the route from LAX to UK isn't across water. I am very glad that you are all safe and hope that the jet-lag doesn't linger for too long. Try to get lots of daylight into your eyes .

kiwibella · 17/03/2008 15:56

Diva ... what do you think??

Have a great Easter Muppet!!

OP posts:
Divastrop · 17/03/2008 16:21

i did a test which was clearly negative,as i prayed expected.

kittywise · 17/03/2008 17:34

Oh Diva , phew!!!!!!!

Perhaps it is stress and the ad's. Dh is prob right.

TheBlonde · 17/03/2008 19:11

Hi Rizzo

Evenhope - that sounds v scary

Kitty/Kiwi - holidays separate from Easter sound v odd. We have 4 weeks off nursery starting Thurs

Foxy - I might be up for meeting you guys but everything is a bit up in the air here
DH is possibly facing redundancy

evenhope · 17/03/2008 19:52

bella we dumped the fuel over the island of catalina (?). We went round and round and round. The map of the flight on the TV screen looked really silly..

fitfox · 17/03/2008 21:39

Kitty/Kiwi et al - virtualy all the London state schools have the two week "spring break" from about 4-20 April. Its only private schools and my DCs (state) school which are sticking to the "Easter" break. We are out of odds with all the other schools in the borough, which is good as we want to do some Museum trip etc so it will be great to be able to avoid the crowds.
