Oh my goodness Jay - what a whopper! No wonder he didn't want to come out! Congratulations to you and a big kiss for Cooper. More details and pics please

I got Elliot some wooden blocks (which he has shown no interest in) and a hideous plastic light up musical phone thing which he adores. Tasteful child

Welcome home evenhope.

When are you off rosylily? I think you're all very brave doing all this travelling.

TheBlonde · 14/03/2008 08:00

Congratulations Jay

fitfox · 14/03/2008 11:04

Rosy - poor you - hope you are all well for Sunday. I always get sticky meds all over me, all over Dcs and all over floor/beds/rugs/clothes etc

DH is sanding the main bedroom floor today - am going to paint the floorboards white I still have a throat full of razor blades though

Piffle · 14/03/2008 11:09

Jay mega congrats! Fab name! Glad you're safe and sound, my you do have big babies! Respect!

rosy what a crap night. I had dd up coughing and crying while Finn was also up cross at being woken after her mega cough and moan session. No dp grr but medicated dd medised. Finn resettled after titathon. Woke up by dd at 5 wandering looking for tissues. She was covered in snot. Finn up at 6.30am dd off today can barely speak, yet again her throat... Hope the kids bugs clear for you before flying and journey is peaceful zen like affair. Good luck!
saz glad he likes the toys! Dp just informed me his bonus is dbl what we expected as I'd his payrise so am splurging and buying Finn the wheelie bug. Worth it imo he is obsessed with wheels. Upends the Hoover (strong see) and spins the wheels for ages.
He has tons of words I can understand now. Up clap cup burp bum down there me go... Oh he is one bossy busy little fellow!
diva how are things today?

Evenhope welcome back! Did you have an awesome time in my home town?

shanks313 · 14/03/2008 14:20

Congrats Jay-I love the name and what a whopper

Just got teary eyed thinking that it will be us in a few weeks time

Divastrop · 14/03/2008 14:44

CONGRATS JAY

welcome back evenhop-sonds like you are glad to be back.happy birthday to your dd

and happy birthday to elliot

kitty-i skimmed some of your thread, will read the whole thing later but.i am starting to think either a)MNHQ have started employing people to start fights on purpose(possible,as there was a thread where people were defending the op's xp's right to buy a 42" plasma tv when he has no fridge or carpets and therefore cant have the dc overnight the other day) or b)there is some sort of gap in the space/time continum which is allowing women in victorian britain to use the internet

dh came off the pc very early last night so he could talk to me,as he was worried.he said ive been very snappy with the kids etc the past 2 weeks.i broke down and said i am just crap and a moody narky cow, that is my personality.i have decided to go back on the prozac as i didnt realise how bad i would be without it.obviously it was helping.im just pissed off with everything being messed about.

oh bugger,i have to get ds2

kiwibella · 14/03/2008 15:59

thanks Piffle ... I'm checking in here regularly to see what you are all up to but I don't have the energy to post. My life is in turmoil atm... and I think it is inevitable that I will go home with the girls. I can't work out any other solution and while hubs is being very loving and sweet, he's not helping us out of shit at all. I'm not coping with it at all - probably doesn't help that I have time to think and contemplate while he is busy with work.

Diva... when your dh came off the computer, did you tell him that you want more of this??? He can make time for you - not just because he is concerned about how things are going. Don't go blaming yourself or your personality.

Kitty, I'm pleased that you have decided what you want to do for your family. How are you getting on with your dh Foxy? I hope that sanding the floors is a good sign.

Jay and Cooper - CONGRATS ... wow... he's a big boy.

Happy birthday to Elliot and Evenhope's dd... and all the other babies who I have missed.

Evenhope - how was the journey and how did dd travel? I am so envious of your trip down under and the sunshine. I think it is what we need... the days are getting noticeably longer.

Lots of love to everyone

kiwi, what's going on?

Diva {{hugs}}to you. you'll find a way through. Thanks for the support on that thread. Normally I can if I'm being a bit ott, but this time, nope I just can't. The thing is you just know that if any of their kids came home and said that they'd be going ballistic .

Welcome back evenhope

spicemonster · 14/03/2008 17:56

kiwi lovely - what's going on?

I'm sorry so many of you are having hard times with your relationships - I'm feeling v sad at the mo about being single for some reason but I think it can be lonelier sometimes to be in a relationship that isn't going well

kitty - I swear around here there are markedly different rules to how you are treated depending on whether you are one of the 'in' crowd or not. That's why I don't post that much tbh - it reminds me of being bullied at school sometimes. I didn't post on your thread because I have no experience to draw on but I know you're not a hysterical mother by any means ...

TheBlonde · 14/03/2008 18:40

Kiwi - sorry to hear things aren't great, hope you have some RL support

Kitty - I saw your thread but no school exp so I thought it best to stay out of it

Spice - sorry to hear you are down about being single, are you getting out much without your LO?

Divastrop · 14/03/2008 20:21

bella-you are normally so cheefrul and laid back, whats been happening?

kitty-i have been depressed on and off since puberty,i am coming to realise that now.the trouble is,i dont think ive ever been taken seroiously by any doctors.they have always said 'you are just stressed, its understandable'.now i am supposed to be doing this self-esteem group but it should be halfway through by now yet its hardly started cos things have been fucked around so much.if you think about that self-help book we got last year,at the start it was all about looking into the reasons you have low self-esteem.well,the group is still stuck in that bit,and dragging up the past without getting to the bits of how to change thigs is not doing me any good.

talking of the past,dh checked his facebook for the first time in 2 months(and i got paranoid...why?he has me and a guy he used to play conquer online with on his friends list.i have 4 men on mine.ok,2 of them are gay,but anyway)
anyway...xp had sent him a message bleating about how he had wanted to see his son on his birthday, and how he is 'not the violent twat she makes me out to be'

erm...dh has had first-hand experience of xp's violent twatishness.

Callieco · 14/03/2008 20:46

Kiwi lovely, I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles too. Hope things get sorted.

Jay - congratulations. Wow, three kids under two - much respect. Hope everything goes ok with the feeding this time and Cooper doesn't suffer from reflux.

I'm off on holiday tomorrow, so I hope everyone who is having woes has a better week, and that you all have a lovely Easter.

fitfox · 14/03/2008 22:28

Diva and Kiwi [hugs]

Diva your DH obviously cares about you - mine wouldn't even notice a mood change. LOL at time warp - so true - fecking sanctimonious victorian mothers have taken over that thread. Do you think they are all chums then?

Kitty - mind you it reminds me of our old rucking days before babies were born eh?

Kiwi I think I will ask DH to return to marital bed (he has been camping in DCs room since Monti was born).

Kiwi - How are things with you then? Do you fancy coming over for a cuppa one day or is it too far? Would be great to see you and the girls again and have a chat. Let me know

Piffle LOL at "Titathon" - IKWYM precisely!!!

I am all fluey and have painted the floor of a big room tonight Halo. Throat is like razor blades. 'cos of paint smell (its the main bedroom what we painted and sanded) DH and DS1 are camping downstairs tonight and DD, DS2 and I are camping in DCs room

...well its the closest we get to a holiday ATM you know.....

Does anone fancy coming over to mine over the Easter hols? we could have a collective whinge meet up???

Spice, Kiwi, Kitty, Evenhope???

fitfox · 14/03/2008 22:30

That is an open invitation to everyone BTW, not just those "named" - I was just thinking of those I'd met already but would love to meet everyone

Divastrop · 14/03/2008 23:24
fitfox · 15/03/2008 12:02

Ooooh yes, yes, yes - brilliant idea Diva!!

Rosylily · 15/03/2008 17:03

aw kiwi i hope something gets sorted for you.

Foxy yeah good idea bring your man in from the cold. Hope that does the trick.

Diva i hope you feel better soon.

Congratulations jay! Well done! Good name and what a weight again! You are some woman!

Hasan is one today! We had a birthday tea yesterday. Poor wee guy was too ill to enjoy it much.

We've been shopping mad trying to get all we need. I have to finish packing yet. Argh. Leaving 2am and hoping to get a bit of sleep.
I'm jealous of your meet up! One day i'll come too!

kiwibella · 15/03/2008 17:10

thanks for your messages - it is a tonic. I have been thinking since my post that turmoil is probably dramatic but life with hubs is poo right now. We still have a roof over our heads and food on the table. We are in trouble financially - only I didn't know the debt was accumulating or even that hubs had these credit cards. I feel really cheated. I could bore you with pages about what has gone wrong this year.

I've been reading a book about Love Languages by Gary Chapman also. I can see the benefit of it to resurrect loving relationships but it seems to take me to really dark places - I feel quite inadequate that I can't make the changes as simply as Dr Chapman suggests.

Diva, I do a great cover-up of being 'with it'. It annoys me sometimes how I can be outwardly cheerful while inside is churning. I'm not very honest with myself.

Spice... I think you are very right that sometimes it is lonelier being in a relationship... but I hope that you have fun looking for that special someone.

Anyways... Foxy, it would be great to catch up again and I am happy to travel out your way. Our hols aren't until after Easter - but, that said, it is most likely that MissE will do her own thing so it will just be Kate and I. I can't do Monday 14 April.

Have a great holiday Callie - and hope that your trip to Pakistan is an adventure for your children Rosie!!

Rosylily · 15/03/2008 18:39

kiwi put the book away for a bit! Citizens advice bureau for the money worries? My dh never tells what he is up to financially and he owes a shedload of tax and so do i apparently (sticks head firmly in the sand!)

Callie have a lovely holiday!

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone! I hope you all have a lovely and chocolatey easter and that all problems melt away.

muppetisacat · 15/03/2008 19:21

Congrats to Jay! I cannot imagine a baby at 11lbs 3oz! Your dd is going to have 2 HUGE brothers to look after her ... her boyfriends will be petrified! Can't wait to hear all the details and see piccies!

Kitty - OMG - read about 3/4 of your thread and was going to post but literally ran out of time - I was actually laughing out loud at some of the comments on there... not in anyway to your detriment (and I don't know how you didn't lose it with some of those responses by the way)... but where do these women come from????? The only thing one can do when faced with opinions like that is laugh! Otherwise we'd all go mad! It seemed like 90% were telling you that you were overreacting and weren't in full posession of the facts... only to write a totally over-reacted response with made-up summations of what they thought "really" went on in the classroom... ghastly people!

Rosy - hope all your brood gets better... missed when you're off - hope everyone is ok for the trip.

kiwi - sorry things are crap for you. Citizens advice bureau is a good suggestion by spice... I've always found them really good.

Happy b'day to Hasan and Elliot

Have posted piccie of Samuel on his first b'day enjoying chocolate cake.

kittywise · 15/03/2008 19:44

Rosy have a wonderful time away. Happy Birthday to Hassan .

Kiwi, it seems there are a few of us peed off with our other halves {{hugs}} to you

Foxy we'd love to come over in the hols. You'll have to give me directions and can I park my monster truck? We might all be a bit much though??
( I' paranoid about finding parking spaces for it!!)

Muppet, it was an insane thread. I think they must have all been embittered teachers or something, honestly I couldn't have predicted the insanity, but I guess that's MN for you. They're probably all mates anyway.

spicemonster · 15/03/2008 19:49

Happy birthday Hasan

We have had a lovely day here - joint birthday party for Elliot and his grandma. He was thoroughly spoiled and loved every minute.

I am okay largely with the being single thing. Really need to do something about it if I don't want to be but obviously that requires a bit of an effort. I do get out without DS - his grandma looks after him on Fridays and stays over on Thursday night so I can go out then.

Rosy - hope you have a grand trip and the travelling goes smoothly.

Fox - I'd love to meet up but I only have the Wednesday after Easter off work and I have a friend coming to lunch. I could move her if anyone else could do that day? (sounds mean but I'm sure she won't mind if we made it another week). Let me know
