AmieR · 06/03/2008 17:40

Happy Birthday Monti! Have a fab day!

I got broody today too Kitty! It scared me! Though I did dream I as pregnant last night too, but all it was, was a huge foot that stuck out my belly at funny angles.. not a cute cuddley LO

bethoo · 06/03/2008 18:32

Fitfox - happy birthday to Monti and Hayden had the caterpillar cake for his birthday!! i thoroughly enjoyed it!! is it the one with chocolate buttons on it and a white face?? yummy

muppetisacat · 06/03/2008 20:32

Ssshhh... I get to have more chocolate cake tomorrow as it is ds1's birthday ... Samuel didn't get much of his

More good news from my sis who had her booking in visit with mw at 10 weeks - who unbelievably picked up a heartbeat with that doppler thing! All helps to keep my sister's spirits and hopes up.

bethoo · 06/03/2008 20:33

muppet - that is good news about your sister. i hope that will be me next week!!

Rosylily · 06/03/2008 21:20

muppet great news about your sister.
Happy birthday Monti!
Still can't get broadband sorted its taking ages. Sigh.

Dh is in a mad panic trying to get everything sorted for pakistan. 10 days argh!

kittywise · 06/03/2008 22:04

That's great news for your sister muppet.

Rosy, how long are you going for?

foxy, did monti enjoy his birthday?

Piffle, are you all over your bugs now?

Well Ron is charging round the house at warp speed. He is a changed child; happy, laughing and full of joy. he is so happy that he can walk and keep up with everyone. His fav thing is to change direction as quickly as he can and trick people into thinking he is going somewere and then shooting off in another direction, bless!

kittywise · 07/03/2008 14:50

well, have we all given up here now?

bethoo · 07/03/2008 14:56

i am still here

Jaysthird · 07/03/2008 14:58

Had a show this morning, got excited, had some cramping, now a big fat zero. Pissed off...

Piffle how are you feeling today chick??

Sorry i missed congratulating Monti on his first birthday, hope he had a good one??

Kitty, it makes such a difference when they can do what they have been seeing their siblings do for such a long time. Jensen is almost there with his walking. i reckon another week or two before he gets the hang of it, right on his first birthday....! - it does seem quite on here at the mo, i guess people have other things to be getting on with!!

bethoo · 07/03/2008 15:12

Jay - all i can say is oooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh not long now!!!

Divastrop · 07/03/2008 20:05

belated happy birthday to samuel and monti

jay-looking forward to hearing your happy news

i have been keeping away from MN the past few days as i feel too shitty.pretty sure dh is on the verge of walking out,he keeps telling me i need to lighten up and that i am humourless.i have been a snappy nasty monster and i cant cope anymore, its too much for me.

Piffle · 07/03/2008 21:43

oh jay how exciting!!!! not long!!
All these birthdays and cakes YUM!
Finn can walk but just doesn't really! If you make him he will but never of his own accord, but then again he crawls so bloody fast walking to him seems like the least sensible option! This week he has learned to flush the loo, open his bedroom door (his cot too near the door) turn on his bedroom light (cot too near the switch) and turn off his monitor (digs under his bumper and hits the switch) which gives us mad hissing sometimes
I have a feeling about Finn, he is erm trouble and one bloody smart cookie at solutions and working things out. Need to put order in at shop for extra eyes to go on back of head methinks.

Diva has he said he wants to leave or are you just presuming because you're feeling a bit vulnerable? Hugs anyway petal xx

Almostt all better here, I've eaten shag all this week as have felt rough til today, but am ok todya. DP was off Weds and Thursday. I've lost some weight as a result, but no doubt that'll be back asap as I make up for lost time.
Pain is better from the SPD now I've seen an NHS physio and a Bowen technique lady. Improving loads.

Muppet realy nice to hear that, good reassurance to hear the heartbeat

Well thats about it from me

Rosylily · 07/03/2008 21:44

jay maybe it'll move up a gear tonight. Doesn't labour usually start at night? I reckon this time tomorrow you could have a little newborn!

Kitty i'm usually cluttering up this thread in the mornings i'm off to pakistan for 3 weeks. Am dreading the mosquitos but theres 3 weddings so that'll be fun!

Diva don't focus on your dh for a bit. You probably need a break and also to build up your own self esteem. He won't leave you, you are fabulous and he knows it. Honestly, do your own thing and think positive!

Rosylily · 07/03/2008 21:56

piffle glad you are on the mend!finn sounds like a great character!.
I'm looking forward to hasan being able to walk like ronnie because he is a grumpy these days. He wants to go out and play, he stands at the window and looks longingly outside.

Piffle · 07/03/2008 21:59

rosy finn eats everything outside
pegs grass rocks unknown things
scares the shite out of me
putting to pond fence back on sharpish for summer!
you know how some kids have a dislike of flesh on grass?
Not my Finbar, you would think he was a piglet the way he digs and wallows

spongecake · 07/03/2008 22:12

hello everyone (waves)

jay, good luck

Rosy, there is no one really- i guess its because i get a little introverted when under stress and avoid people-easy for me as i know no one round here anyway, and i have to actively arrange to see family (not really the talky type of family) and friends whom i feel v guilty about whinging too, as they don;t know what to say. also feel disloyal to dh as it just turns into a rant about mil (who doesn;t even live in the uk!)

diva, hope you are feeling ok, am also like that right now, but keep giving myself a good talking to. dh, being a bloke, says the right things but in the wrong way, using the wrong words. know that sounds mental, but he means well.

ds snuffles like crazy, anyone used those saline drips? doctor has given me some antibiotics in case he gets worse -he has a terrible cough.

well, enough of bringing you all down on friday night, am off to eat chocolate and read/watch csi

Rosylily · 07/03/2008 22:50

so sponge you are brooding? Mother in laws are stereotypically difficult aren't they. Mine threw her shoe at me last time i was in pakistan.!
I'm not on facebook at the moment but i'm sure the piffle or kitty or someone would be good to chat to.
Or you could namechange and start a thread on here, get it all off your chest on the www!
Or... Pretend everything is hunkydory until it is (one of my favourite tactics!)

Rosylily · 07/03/2008 23:01

piffle definately guard that pond! My front door leads out onto driveway and road so i'll have to lock the door. If the door is left ajar he's off out in a second

ReverseThePolarity · 08/03/2008 08:06

Hello everyone, sorry I've been so lax.

Oh Jay I really feel for you - as you may remember I went 16 days over with Bertie (the youngest baby on this thread) and agreed - reluctantly - to an induction (which I now regret) so I know how it feels to be overdue and fed up. I really hope something gets started for you soon, it's interminable the waiting!

Foxie I can't believe I missed Monti's first... and Muppet too... I suppose I just find it so hard to believe it's actually a year since our los first started popping out; I should be hanging around here all the time now to see whose 1st it is, sorry!!

Remember how busy it was this time last year?

Sponge - I'm sorry things aren't going so great for you at the moment. Lots of ((((hugs)))) to you. And if you want to chat about mils... feel free to FB me. Mine is much improved these days but not so long ago she did some right bitchy stuff.

Diva - do you really think your dh wants to walk out? Are you sure it isn't just a "normal" argument? How are you feeling in yourself these days?

Kitty - Monti sounds like he's loving his new found mobility. Bertie is a happier creature now he can crawl, although no real sign of walking yet.

Piffle Finn makes me pmsl, he's so crafty, looking for ways to outwit you! You've your hands full with him haven't you?

Muppet it's great news for your sister, I really hope it continues in the same vein.

Right, where's everyone else? People are dropping like flies, do you think people have gone back to paid work and stuff like that?

I am currently neglecting Bertie - he is sat in his high chair fighting with a banana. I think he's losing the fight! I had better see to him. In fact, I need a bath, he won't sit still... I think I may run us a joint bath and kill two birds with one stone.

Rosylily · 08/03/2008 09:38

reverssy the year has flown hasn't it! I am looking at hasan thinking argh! What happened to my baby! How is the feeding going now with you?
I've never breastfed this long before and i really wish i had fed the others for longer too now. Oh well.

ReverseThePolarity · 08/03/2008 10:42

Feeding is going well, in fact now I'm working ft away from home he is less distracted when I'm there and feeds much better! Although the night feeds - and the expressing - is wearing me out a bit, I've posted for some info in feeding topic and have had some suggestions re: night feeds.

It's not so bad now while I'm in stress-free job, but I'm starting thinking of applying for something a bit better paid again and a bit more involved... and therefore will need a bit more rest for it too!

I find it so much easier now with him not just feeding but in general - he is mobile so I don't have to carry him everywhere, dh gets on with him much better so everything is shared (well, nearly everything).

Is Hasan still Boob Loads Wants or is he taking more solids now?

Divastrop · 08/03/2008 10:59

sponge-(((hugs))).

i was offloading on the other forum i use last night.it helped.i dont bother to post my woes on MN anymore(apart from this thread) as people are way too bitchy and up themselves sometimes.i'll just stick to looking for fights when i have PMT

mossy-i was feeling great untill last weekend when i came crashing down.i think its withdrawal from the ad's.im going to give it another week and if i still feel bad then i will have to go back on them,or i will end up losing everybody.dh and i didnt even have a row atall,he was oblivious to the thoughts that were running through my head.he has just been doing his typical male thing of trying to cheer me up by being 'funny',and then gettin offended when i dont apreciate his 'humour'.he is hilarious when he doesnt try to be

a woman at mother and toddler who's baby was the same age as Elsie said to me 'oh,is she not even pulling herself up yet?'in a smug tone(her baby was walking)so i just said 'no,thankfully'and smiled, even though i really wanted to rant at her about the fact her poor babie's ears were pierced

Elsie still sits at the bottom of the stairs having a hissy fit because she cant climb them.if shes owt like her sisters she's got another 2-3 months to wait yet

hope everyone has a good weekend.
