That's exciting jay, hope it comes to something!

Muppet, I bought Ronnie some soft soled shoes from clarks, he loves going for walks outside, they have been worth shelling out for.

Piff, I spent the whole of lat month trying to get some fat on Ronnie, kept shoving food into his mouth but he's still just as scrawny. I guess he's meant to be that way.

kiwibella · 27/02/2008 12:03

I just bought Kate a pretty pink pair of wellies in Woolworths today for £4. They are size 3 and seem miles too big... but she will look cute . Otherwise, its the soft soled shoes which have been handed down - we've been given about 10 pairs of shoes which should see her through the next three years.

Kate is not eating atm??? She is having one or two mouthfuls of cereal in the morning and about half a bowl of dinner at night. However, she is feeding lots - so I haven't been concerned but, what do you think... should I be???

I know what you mean about our babies remaining babies, Kitty. I wish she was as quiet and serene as a newborn... instead she is go, go, go - I didn't realise this job would be so exhausting .

Hope you are having a great time away Foxy, even though you are working. Have you called home to see how your family are coping?

Jay... I really can't believe that you are about to have another baby!! I hope that this will be a smooth delivery and you will be cuddling your newborn in no time Lots of love x x

Piff... dress code for funerals ??? Conservative must be a good look .

Finn is a size 5 foot! Dd is only just a 7 and she is 5!!! He has bobux soft shoes he crawls around outside with them on. Might buy some first shoes off ebay I reckon when I think he needs them.
HV just been and saw Finn eat. Said if he has not put on weight then its obv just his metabolic rate not to worry. A child who was undernourished would not be as happy and active as that! Glad I have a nice HV.

Re the funeral.am being cautious so as not to show up inlaws. Dd does not do dark plain stuff! Eeks

Divastrop · 27/02/2008 12:43

piffle-at funerals ive been to(a few as i was in the church choir)only adults and older children have been wearing blck/navy.smaller children seemed to be dressed in smart/casual clothes in neutral/pastel or white.

@all these walking babies.Elsie is still doing her SAS impression.she just moves alot faster now.she is learning new words at the moment.

kitty-rosy has no internet atm, iirc.some disagreement with orange or something.

Piffle · 27/02/2008 13:08

poor rosy wonder how she I'd coping minus the pc. Perish the thought!
What words has elsie hot diva? Finn has nana for banana and no! . Bear. Bum. Ta as well as mama dada emem for Emmy and ma for max.
He has got up from his nap and has a finger length mark across his face. If looks like he has been slapped or something? He does bash his arm around when feeding and rocks around the cot a lot. No idea how he did it though?

Jaysthird · 27/02/2008 16:37

still here... just a little practice run i feel. Means the baby is moving in the right direction so its all good! All ok at MW this afternoon. Baby is 3/5 in and doesnt look like popping in, i dont think theres any room to be honest!

Took Harriette to the park this afternoon, almost killed me, as we walked there. I felt like a right waddling duck/penguin/9mth preggie lady!! Also, talking of shoes, got J his first pair. Piffle, hes a size 5 1/2 also, with a G width (fat feet)Harriette has just gone into a 7 1/2 and shes just turned 2, shame i cant put him in her black patents or pink rose buds!!!
Am impressed with the words some of these littles ones are spouting, Jensen will say mama and dada and then Grunt and growel ALOT!! Mr Neanderthal springs to mind Although he does dance and clap hands on demand, very sweet!

Right off to make another curry, might even have to offer myself to DP for some 'au natural' stimulation......or i might buy a few pineapples

Divastrop · 27/02/2008 20:14

oooh jay,you are reminding me of this time last year with the ball-bouncing and pineapple munching, and wondering if twinges might be 'it'

the time has flown by!

piffle-elsie says 'mum','dad' and she says 'gor-ga' for Gloria, and 'bob' for ds2(dd2 calls him bob,and i often do as well).she says 'juice','hello','bye-bye' and 'yes',and i swear she replied 'well, der' yesterday when i said 'you're my baby'

spongecake · 27/02/2008 21:23

good luck Jay, with the birth
i got told off in a shop today- i said no, leave it to ds as he attempted to wrench off his hat and the lady in there said " please" bet she told everyone i was teaching my son to be ignorant and not say please and thank you. and a friend told me at the weekend to teach him to put his hand over his mouth when he yawned. yes, class distinction is an issue here in north gloucs for lo's.

where is sazzy, and hope rosy gets back online soon..her sage advice is always welcome!

Piffle · 27/02/2008 21:59

Yeah where are the other drop outs? Oh bloody hell dd has puked all over her bed. Not sure if from coughing alone or a bug.only sick once so far. Funeral tomorrow, words cannot get across how much I need to go to nanans funeral. Praying dd is ok.
Jay fingers crossed it happens soon this waiting is awfully testing

muppetisacat · 28/02/2008 19:20

piff - hope dd recovers and tomorrow goes well.

kiwi - wouldn't overly worry about kate - samuel often has days of not eating much. He doesn't take after his mother lol.

shanks313 · 28/02/2008 21:36

She has been ill since Monday with an ear infection and is now on anti biotics. The last 3 nights have been bad with no sleep and shes had a temp of 39.
Had 34 week scan today and all is great with new baby. Its now been confirmed as a girl.We saw a labia and was told its definitely feminine. The baby is average sized whatever that is and head is down and looking low.
Hope everyone is okay?

muppetisacat · 29/02/2008 10:50

bethoo · 29/02/2008 11:02

kiwibella · 29/02/2008 11:11

I've got that "no news is good news" feeling for Jay - love the excitement and wondering!!!

Great to hear from you Shanks - glad that you are enjoying a healthy pregnancy... and hope that Deanna feels better for her party.

Piffle... how was your grandmother's funeral? How was dd???

Sponge some people ... any reply would have irked her more - totally none of her business!!

Kate puts her little hand over her mouth when she coughs - no idea where she learned this... she puts on a little cough just to do it, its very cute .

Diva... how are you feeling without your meds??

OP posts:
Divastrop · 29/02/2008 11:45

shanks-happy birthday to deanna for tomorrow

piffle-hope everything went ok yesterday and you managed to get there ok with dd being unwell.

bella-i am doing alot better without my meds than i was with them.i'm slowly remember ing what my personality is ,plus i dont feel as anxious .i have also lost some of the weight i gained(maybe cos i can actually poo now?!).so all good sofar.

hope everybody else is ok.this thread has been very quiet-maybe because its half term in some parts of the country?

Piffle · 29/02/2008 15:31

Oh shanks how lovely, I never had a sister and dd has no sister. I really wish I'd had one and you'll have two so close together, Gorgeous!

Funeral was ok yesterday.
DD had brekkie yeterdya morning so we said we'd go as she was ab fab fine.
And she was, she bawled at the crematorium, she knew she'd never see Nanan again adn really let fly with inconsolable tears, bless her, proper heartfelt sobs.
DS1 also wept at the actual funeral, we all lvoed her so much.
Pub afterwards, for some nibbles, dd was sick at the table [blsuh] but she was not ill ill per se, she was sick then fine again.
Late home, all kids to bed at 10pm Finn slept through, dd got up at 4am puked again, today she is really ill...
Eeeks took care to keep her away from folks yesterday.
Best part about this all is that last night our water mains burst and we got woken by firemen knocking on the door at 7am warnign no water available and possibility of flooding from the leaks. Then they went off and saved us! LOL
But seriously having no water and a kid with a sick bug = grimness
Water back on now so off to bath dd and wash come bedding
Ugh

Piffle · 29/02/2008 15:45

oh have uploaded to youtube a vid of Finn doing a few steps
He is a bugger to film as if he spies the camera he crawls at great speed to try and grab it! One has to be very stealthy to catch him out!
here hopefully

Callieco · 29/02/2008 18:18

Piff, glad the funeral went ok. Hope your DD gets better soon.

Diva, happy birthday for tomorrow. Have a good one.

This is very quicky, as going out later - hurrah!!!! - so need to get DS changed etc now and then hand him over to his father, who is out taking a suspiciously long time to get some food supplies.... I just remembered as he went out the door I needed some tampons pretty urgently - but had he taken his mobile phone with him? WHAT'S THE POINT OF A MOBILE IF YOU DON'T TAKE IT OUT . And at forgetting to get some yesterday. Can't really blame DP too much (for once ) I suppose.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I am Mrs Happy because I am off work for THREE weeks now. This is catching up on all the annual leave DS denied me last year by arriving early.

Jaysthird · 29/02/2008 20:14

Kiwi, no news is NOTHING news...

Had some acupuncture this evening and baby is doing a lot of moving after a few days of calm...so who knows.

Piff - finn looks SOOOO cute its a great little vid of him walking Glad the funeral was 'ok' and sorry to hear about DD being ill.. poor thing

HAPPY BIRTHDAY rosy and Diva!!

Piff, glad the funeral went ok is dd better now?
Lovely vid of Fin walking. I must get round to filming Ron. He's galloping round the house now. It's amazing how quickly they go from being unsteady to just walking round everywhere!

Don't worry jay, it won't be long now. Anyway, better in than out . It's harder work once they're here
( knackered and fed up mother of many demanding children emoticon).

Great to hear from you shanks, glad all is well, not long now!!
