Heehee thought I'd start the new thread. there seemed to be a recurring theme from everyone's recent posts - hence the title.

Hope everyone's well and that you found us without too much trouble

Ginge (bleurrgghhh at the poop)sounds like stressful time you are having atm, you too princess. lol @ 'oh god!'

still not got round to doing anything with owen's hair (see pic in profile). Its ok at the back but the front is kind of in his eyes now. Tis ok if he's wearing a hat!
He has also developed a crazy habit of waking up at 5am full of beans but then ready for another sleep by 9am. I have been spoilt up until now with him and dd being great sleepers, and I am NOT a morning person.

Samsmam hope labour happens for you soon. Brings back memories of our pre-natal thread and all the methods everyone tried to bring it on - i'm afraid nothing seemed to work, but the second is usually quicker than the first, so fingers crossed for you

phew! we're nearly all back to normal. just flying around trying to get all the baby stuff ready now, only 2 weeks to go-in theory! could be much longer with my track record. have had massive braxton hicks though and feels like baby is about to fall out so who knows.
taffy-one worse today when lo said 'oh shit' according to dh-i'm hoping he was wrong. don't envy you owen's crazy sleeping. i've been thinking it's bad when hope gets up at 6.30

RUMPEL · 11/02/2008 13:49

HI All,

Just a quickie to say hello - still spewing here and feeling awful! 17 weeks now.

PRINCESS - hope baby comes soon - you too SAMSMAM.

Question for you?

Which double buggy did you all opt for?
I'm looking at the Phil and Ted but cheekily asked a random couple if I could test drive theirs yesterday - it was a nipper and they said it was fab. They said the tandems were awkward to get up on kerbs as heavier DC is at the front - any advice?

princessllama · 12/02/2008 21:45

rumpel, we've got the p&t. v comfortable for hope when was just her in main seat. now converted ready for baby and not quite so cushy but she loves it as she's sitting up v tall-so tall in fact that when rain cover is on it pretty much grazes her head can't be right?? the harness is fab because so quick to get her in and out-really saves your back. tyres need pumping once in a while or steering goes crazy. not much space for shopping. it is a bugger when going through doors as not as narrow as my maclaren but not too bad. bulky going up and down pavements too. the thing that really sold it to me was that the baby goes in the under bit like a hammock and apparently is rocked to sleep with motion of buggy-chance would be a fine thing... will let you know how we get on.
big sympathy for the vomitting-i will never forget that with lo's pg. horrible horrible horrible.

miarosemum · 12/02/2008 22:40

hi all, i have been using mumsnet for a while now and never realised this thread was on here, if i had of known when i was pregnant or just had dd would have come on as nice to know other mums with lo's same age! can i join in?? my dd born on halloween 06, do i qualify for this thread? sounds like a couple of you are having more babies?x

RUMPEL · 14/02/2008 13:29

Hi Miarosemum - course you can join our merry bunch. there was loads of us pre natally but just a few of us regulars left now.

Gingeme has just had her 5 th boy. Samsmam will be popping any day now (2nd baby) and princesslama is due in the next 2 weeks (2nd baby too). I am due again in July with my 2nd. I have a DD who was born Oct 06.

So it might be quieter than usual on this thread as so many of us busy with LO or being pg or labouring!

catgirl · 14/02/2008 16:15

miarosemum · 14/02/2008 21:23

ah thank you for making me feel welcome! me and my dd's dad not together anymore but he still see's her which is fab (probably see's her more now than he did before!) but if i was still with him i think i would be on my second one as get quite broody! its amazing, dd only 15 months but already look at little babes and think 'ooh how cute, how lovely'. good luck all with your babes to be!

babyducky · 15/02/2008 08:59

gingeme · 15/02/2008 14:33

Hi all and welcome mairosemum.
Yes it is so quiet on this thread these days. Been pretty hectic here past few days. Trying to get ds5 into some sort of routine. Working slowly but surely with the help of a book my friend recomended to me.
ds4 been a bit grumpy today. Had a runny bum the past couple of days too. Just hope he gets over it by Monday as we are going to a friends wedding. Cant wait actualy as Im back in to my old size clothes and have treated myself to a new blouse and trousers even some posh very non expensive jewelery from Claires.
We are going on our first family holiday in March. Only a long weekend away to Combe Haven, near Hastings, to a Haven camp. Got it half price from Whats On Tv mag. Cant wait, so need a break.
Samsam any news? Do you have a new dd yet? How Samantha with her?
Well thats all my sleep deprived brain will let me wright today.
Take care all xx

babyducky · 15/02/2008 19:40

I live in hastings gingeme! might bump into u!

x

samsmam · 15/02/2008 20:42

Hi all, no baby as yet. Just a very uncomfortable fed up, fat person! Being induced on 29th if little one hasn't arrived by then. I hope she does I can't stand it. The pain is awful under my ribs- think this is going to be a big baby! I have got back ache and stomach ache tonight though, not sure if that means anything. I was induced last time so am in suspense about expereincing going in to labour naturally.

Welcome to miarosemum, yes I am another pregnant one! Yes I am mad!

Have a good one Gingeme.

Catgirl- the singing bit first thing is very cute isn't it- a bit later in the morning would be even cuter!!

princessllama · 15/02/2008 23:52

well done gingeme-back into clothes. don't think i ever got that far last time.
babyducky-samsmam and me are due same day-and yup, feel pretty crappy too. lot of pain in the ribs. i have started not believing i'll go into labour naturally at all as i was induced last time too. did have lots of contractions but it's all eased off in last few days. really want it all over with, can't deal with much more lugging dd around. everyone keeps ringing as well to see. i know that if i don't answer then they'll think everything has kicked off so feel like have to keep ringing back.
hi miarosmum-sp? the awful thing is now that no 2 is imminent i feel completely unbroody and not even keen to hold anyone's new babies when offered.
lo keeps trying to get up at 6am-real killer, except have managed to persuade dh into doing this shift for moment.
i ate alot of chocolate on val. day too babyducky, was fab.

taffy101 · 16/02/2008 16:20

ooh - i didn't get chocs for valentines got flowers though

Welcome miarosemum, my ds was born on halloween too so we will be having predictable themed parties for next 18 years! I am not having another but have a 4 yr old dd - i too have been looking longingly at little ones - arrrggh.

Hope it happens for you soon samsmam and princess. I remember the waiting game so well - with both of mine.

Ginge - you must be running round a lot with your boys to have lost all the weight already! Good for you!

Need to go and vaccuum now, as while i've been on here dd and ds have been tearing up polystyrene and sprinkling it all over the house, i left them to it cos they were having so much fun [foolish emoticon]

OP posts:
miarosemum · 16/02/2008 23:30

ah taffy you have a little witch or a devil i should say as welll!! yes very easy to theme the party this birthday gone, was fab! we all seem very broody what is it...i have the urge but not the financial urge or the love interest! lol

samsmam · 19/02/2008 15:47

very quiet on here.

no news except i'm still waiting- arghhh................

RUMPEL · 20/02/2008 14:17

SAMSMAM - sending you pushy vibes!! and you PRINCESS - you both must be totally fed up, pissed off and HUGE by now.

I am almost halfway there - thank God! Sick as a dog AGAIN this morning. I thought I was getting a bit better as the past week I have been feeling more able to do things but bleurgh this morning. I am back at Uni in 2 weeks so I am praying that I feel okay by then as I am VERY noisy when I am sick - not too mention I feel awful.

Have only put on 1 3/4 Lbs so far so there is an upside!

I went to see a new therapist this morning. As you know I don't know anyone here yet so looked up the Yellow Pages and called a few people. This lady is a Cranio-scaral therapist/reiki/tai chi teacher/Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner. I did my level 1 EFT but haven't really used it much. So anyway I know I have lots of 'issues' to deal with and feel that it is about time I started tackling them. After consultation she decided to do EFT with me and I just cried and cried!! I am sooo not comfortable with crying (I admit I am a bit of a control freak, which is half my problem). I have been doing a lot of self analysis lately - what with being put on anti-ds by the Dr - and realised that a lot of it (how I handle things) is a direct result of my childhood - core beliefs etc. I think now that we are Mummies it makes you reasses your life/attitudes etc. Anyway I feel much 'lighter' now and feel that this will help me to sort myself out. I am actually a therapist but it is a case of physician heal thyself - you'll know what I mean PRINCESS? One of our Mummies a CS therapist who was it again?

Sorry for giant post but I thought I would use it as a cathartic exercise today

Hope you are all wellxxx

catgirl · 22/02/2008 13:03

hi rumpel - wow that sounds intense - but sounds like it is doing some good too - well done you for doing something about how you are feeling, that is often the hardest bit to do. I know exactly where you are coming from on the not crying... sometimes you just have to 'let go' though!

Hope the sickness passes soon - but half way there, all downhill from now on!

Have a great weekend everyone.

I am getting closer and closer to working 3 days a week - but of course work still haven't given me my new contract/hols/pay etc etc... agh .... and breath.... but to be really honest, I am doing down to 3 days and the rest of it (pay etc) will have to work out won't it!

samsmam · 23/02/2008 08:30

Only a short montage this time!

Hope everyone is well, only 6 days for me to go. This time next week I'll be a mummy again!

taffy101 · 23/02/2008 20:42

Aww, samsmam, what a cute montage. Aren't our LOs looking all grown up now! Good luck on ?Friday. Have you got a name picked out yet? Are you having another girl or did I dream that?
You'll have to change your name to sam+....mam.

Finally got Owen's hair cut this week. He sat on my knee and wriggled and cried while the poor girl did a quick trim! He looks so different now, like a big boy!

Rumpel, brave thing you are doing. I am sure letting it all out on MN helps too. You must be soooo fed up of puking now. Were you like this for 9 months last time? My SIL was and she put herself through it 3 times

Catgirl - you'll love doing 3 days (i do 3 v. short 5 hour days and is very relaxing), you will wonder how you managed timewise before.

OP posts:
RUMPEL · 25/02/2008 13:05

Hi All,

SAMSMAM AND PRINCESS - how are you both? Any sign of babies yet? Thanks for the info on the P&T - we're going to go see them this weekend.

Still feeling hellish here - bad night last night as I was up a few times with Amber. I cut her hair myself a few weeks ago as her fringe was going in her eyes.

CATGIRL - bet you cannot wait to work p/t.

TAFFY - yep I feel hellish the whole time when pg - am actually looking forward to labour! No matter how horrible it is at least it will be quicker than being pg for 9.5 months and I will feel 'human' again. Despite the lack of sleep with a newbie.

GINGEME - how are the boys? Are you seeing your Scottish lads at Easter?

Dreamt I had a wee boy last night - he was 7lb 8oz and grew into this really long limbed, skinny, spotty teenager Just like his Dad was!!

Well must go....xxxx

samsmam · 25/02/2008 16:15

no sign of baby yet .....

I am being admitted on Friday at 6pm for induction but hoping something will happen before then. I would really like to expereince going in to labour naturally as was induced last time and not sure I'll be doing this again.

Once this baby is born I have a mission to lose the weight for a wedding on 31st May! Definitely going to breast feed!!

Rumpel- you going to find out the flavour?

I still haven't got a girls name, we're ok on the boys names but...... I'm having a girl!!!

babyducky · 25/02/2008 20:17

hi everyone,

lovely montage samsmam, hope it all goes well fri, or before then hopefully!
What boys names do you like? (nosey!)

hope your ok rumpel & pl,
poor u rumpel being sick the whole 9months!

have finally got kais app with dermatologist, 4th april, ages to wait! grrr

xxx

RUMPEL · 26/02/2008 14:53

Nope - I like a surprise SAMSMAM. We don't really mind, although it would be nice to have 1 of each. I really, really wanted a girl so we have Amber and we don't mind what colour the next 1 is.

We have chosen Poppy for a girl and Calvin for a boy.

I love the name Saffron but DH hates it. Also like:

Scarlet
Aurora
Libby
Morgan
Darcy

Why don't you go on Babycentre and type in a meaning and see what names it comes up with?

BABYDUCKY Is Kai's skin still quite bad? You don't use those air freshener things do you?

gingeme · 26/02/2008 15:18

Hi ladies. Been busy busy here. Goerge is doing well. Switched him to formula today and hes guzzeling every ounce though it does mean Im leaking like a tap
Edward is so funny now. He has learnt where his nose, eyes and mouth are and keeps trying to find mine and dh's too resulting in a poke in the eye or his finger up our nose.
Good luck for Friday samsam hope it all goes well.
Yes Rumple my scottish boys are coming here for 2 weeks. Trouble is the first week ds3 will be at school still. We are going on cam with them later. It will be nice for them to see our new addition.
We are all going for a family hair cut at 4 . The boys love looking at themselves in the big mirrors I on the other hand arent so keen.
Well I ll try to pop back soon.
Take care xx
