I had turned the PC off but DH put it back on again. What's a girl to do

The rain has thankfully stopped and it's sunny and windier now. At least DS1 won't get wet when he comes home for lunch.

Hi MHC, how are you?

milkyJammy · 31/01/2008 11:33

btw i promised I'd poll you lot to see what you think of DH's baby containment system. He's proposing nappies with magnetic implants and a set of magnets to position in your home

thisisRialifebaby · 31/01/2008 11:45

lol jammy. could he design a device for washing dog poo off pram wheels without the need for undignified bending and scrubbing on my front path?

I think I just spotted a tiny snowflake!!!!!

Fucking wanking AARRRSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

milkyJammy · 31/01/2008 11:54

Things not going well Fury?

HellHathNoFury · 31/01/2008 11:57

no

At 6.45 this morning my car broke down. Cue RAC. RAC can't help and can't tow me as I was in a multi storey car park. Cue pushing car out.
Cue getting to dealer to find they can't look at it until the 18th feb....then being told by dealer, RAC and car manufacturer (YES KIA THAT'S YOU YOU BASTARDS WATCH ME GO TO WATCHDOG) that no-one has a courtesy car for me. So I get a lift to the station, am at work and phoning people trying to get them to buy my car.

I now have no car until AT LEAST the 18th Feb

HellHathNoFury · 31/01/2008 12:02

Sometimes I just feel so worn out of things going wrong. I am so very, very exhausted and depressed. All the time I am fighting fighting fighting for stuff, only to think ahhhhh then something else happens.
I am tired now, and I feel like just giving up on it all.

milkyJammy · 31/01/2008 12:03

That's pants Fury

foxythesnowman · 31/01/2008 12:08

Bollocks Fury.

HellHathNoFury · 31/01/2008 12:09

It's just all the arguing and pleading with dealers and hire companies and all sorts.
In itself it's nothing, you know? These things happen... but recently so many things have gone wrong, illnesses, house broken into, car problems, all that scandal of my comments on Facebook, getting fired and owing the childminder £600, suing people for money they owe me etc etc I just think... when is it going to ease up a little?
When can I have a month of just cool calm chilled outedness with nothing to worry about except bills?

Try calling the RAC and everyone again, you might get someone different who will be more sympathetic.

If you get a nice sounding woman, try the "I'm only working to keep my baby in nappies " approach.

You can also try telling them the whole list of disasters which has befallen you. On the day I got my £30 penalty fee paid back (on your suggestion) I told her "I'm having a terrible day, my Grannie died and I have nits".

Got my money back, didn't I?

HellHathNoFury · 31/01/2008 12:16

The RAC were good actually - they said thay couldn't tow it because a 4x4 needs a truck to tow it, and the height of the ceiling in the car park was too low for the truck. So not their fault. He did gift me a lift to the station after, he was a nice bloke.

Yes I got very very cold waiting for trucks and RAC, 2 hours all up, luckily I had my mega fluffy hat in the car which kept my ears warm anyway. Also I had lots of angry people shouting at me as I was blocking the road.

I am so pissed off, I just paid £150 yesterday for 4 weeks car park, had I have known I would not have had a car for 3 weeks I could have saved myself the bloody money.

HellHathNoFury · 31/01/2008 12:20

I have managed to get KIA to diagnose the car today - they then need to phone kia head office with a diagnosis, then Kia will decide if it's under warranty (it had better f'kin be) and give me a courtesy car.

If they decide not to, I am going to get angry. I have a chum that works for Kia who has given me some names to speak to. And then I shall pull the whole 'do you know who I am/who I work for, you really don't need the negative press do you MR XXXXX!!?, and rest assured I shall make it very public'

tbh I am just glad that DS was in the crappy 11 year old ford mondeo that has never given us any problems. Unlike the 3 month old Kia.

Sputnik · 31/01/2008 12:32

Wow, is it a new car then Fury? If so that is utter crap a) that it broke down at all b) that they told you they couldn't look at it for 3 weeks. I would've been incandescent.

Having a bit of car trouble myself this week too.

HellHathNoFury · 31/01/2008 12:47

Yeah it's a new car.
I am going to get it fixed then sell it.

Sputnik · 31/01/2008 12:56

Remind me never to but a Kia then.
What utter crap.

LardyMardyDaisy · 31/01/2008 13:05

aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrssssssssseeeeeeee for you fury

i thought kia had a good rep on these things. and they offer a 5 year warranty don't they? even if whatever is bust isn't exactly covered by the warranty, it should surely last longer than three frigging months

we need lemon laws like they have in the us for this sort of thing.

anyhoo, hugs and calming vibes for you....tackle them with a calm reasoned head; it'll be harder for them to fob you off.

HellHathNoFury · 31/01/2008 13:28

As soon as it's working it shall be valeted, sold, and replaced with a Ford.

How is everyone else anyway?

FairyFay · 31/01/2008 13:33

Big piles of aaaarrrrrssssseee for you fury

I'm fed up, wet and eating too many biscuits
