Just wanted to give some hope to those suffering with teeth. Baby Sputnik has been really grumpy with his in the last few weeks. Now they've finally come through he is SO much more cheerful

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 21:06

Until the next lot of course.
And his nappies don't smell like an explosion in a pickle factory

milkyJammy · 28/01/2008 21:09

Ria, sorry to hear about more trouble at the school.

I've just packed up a bag of nappies, finished labelling the last of her clothes for nursery, and made up different bottles and a cup full of milk ready for tomorrow. I'm glad she's only going there 2 days a week, this is far too much like hard work! I was considering going to the cinema tomorrow afternoon, and am now torn. If I go and later find out that she was upset at nursery then I'll feel dreadful. On the other hand it might be just the thing to take my mind of worrying about how she's getting on, and after all next week I'll be at work. Also, unless I take DH to work and then bring the car back home I wouldn't be able to do anything if she does get upset, as it'd take me nearly 2 hours to get to her on public transport

milkyJammy · 28/01/2008 21:10

Teething. C's cheeks have been very red the past couple of days and she has had a couple of truly stinky nappies. I wonder ...

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 21:17

Sorry to tell you this but we had weeks of vinegary nappies

milkyJammy · 28/01/2008 21:20

Then I look forward to it continuing

milkyJammy · 28/01/2008 21:21

But for now, it's off to bed for me. Night all.

NattyThomasandEllen · 28/01/2008 21:25

lol, ellens nappies were truely awful for a while..know what u mean about vinegar lol

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 21:28

You might be lucky, they're all different after all. G'night

thisisRialifebaby · 28/01/2008 21:34

jammy, I don't think going to the cinema will harm, and it's good to have something to occupy your mind, better than sitting at home worrying. The nursery probably wouldn't contact you unless DD was ill anyway, next week you'll have plenty to occupy you, so have a bit of fun for once, DD is safe. She was probably only over-excited today, I find NONE of my boys cope well with change. I do feel for you though, it's hard to hand them over, however old they are. I don't remember ever putting DS1s name on anything except his bag when he went to nursery.

What were you going to see?

DS3 is doing lots of stinky nappies but I thought that would be the cheesy parsnip potatoes. He has been rubbing his tongue pn his bottom gum a lot today though. His bum is nastily sore.

ria your poor ds the headmistress sounds awful

ds2 had no probs with his teeth we didn't even notice till they were all the way through

fairy are we still on for wed let me know where to go I am crap at directions

jammy I would go to the cinema and enjoy the freedom

thisisRialifebaby · 28/01/2008 22:11

Sometimes I do wonder how much he exaggerates.
He got told off by the hairsprayed witch for lying to us when DH got the wrong end of the stick about lunchtimes, DH has since put her right (because he's not scared!). I know it's a truly awful thing to say but it would be good if there was just one incident, slightly worse than the ones there have been (but nothing serious that would actually hurt DS), so the school has to DO something. Either that or I'm very tempted to tell DS just to smack the little b'stard in the mouth.
My BIL ("primary carer" for DN&N) has taken his boy out of school "for his own safety" after someone spat at him last week (and other things). DN is only 8, bless him. BIL is a governor, so he's not scared either (he's also very bolshie at the best of times, or just supermarket queues).

ria my ds1 was bullied and spat at when he was 5 I wrote a letter of complaint on the advice of a teacher who works at the school once it is in writing they have to do something

thisisRialifebaby · 28/01/2008 22:23

thanks andie. That might just have to be our next step. If anything happens at swimming tomorrow though we will kick arse somewhere (they have promised to keep them apart).

I'm not too worried about DN though, BIL will sort it, even if he has to cut out tongues and bury them where the sea meets the land...

I am off for tonight.
Hope tomorrow goes well for everyone, and I REALLY REALLY hope we all get a good nights sleep!

Good morning. Definitely go and 'kick some butt' at the school, they can't be allowed to just let this happen to your DS.

Andiem, we are definitely still on for tomorrow. Can you text me your email address and I'll send you directions? If anyone else fancies lunch in Teddington, you are very welcome

milkyJammy · 29/01/2008 08:36

[Tearful smiley] I've just waved goodbye to DH and DD for the day. Seems very odd that I won't see her for the rest of the day. I'm just having a sit down for a few minutes then have got a list of jobs to do this morning and this afternoon it's haircut and probably the cinema (to see Sweeney Todd).

Ria, I hope the school gets its act together soon, and that swimming is uneventful.

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 29/01/2008 09:14

jammy enjoy your day
I am off to london to meet my very very posh cousin for lunch so best bib and tucker for me (in this house that means lipgloss )

milkyJammy · 29/01/2008 09:32

Just want to say - now I can see the benefit of this: I am about to go to the loo (sorry if TMI) and I can take as long as I blinkin' like without worrying about anyone missing me

HellHathNoFury · 29/01/2008 10:00

We'll miss you Jammy!!

Morning all. I am sure all will go ok today Jammy.

As for me... well for once I am actually doing something constructive at work.

Sputnik, thanks for that Nappy info etc - DS has been having some shocking shits lately and whilst I suspected it was teething (as mentioned before, the night screaming) it was good to 'compare notes' as it were, I am pretty sure it's teething now!

Calprofen to the rescue

Sputnik · 29/01/2008 10:02

Enjoy!
Why why why did I say last night that the baby was happy now he'd cut those teeth? He decided to wake up I don't know how many times last night and grizzle unconsolably. I will keep quiet from now on.

Sputnik · 29/01/2008 10:08

It was Foxy that first mentioned vinegary nappies.

Where's Jammy got to, I miss her. Wahhhhhhhhh

HellHathNoFury · 29/01/2008 10:12

Jammy!
Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

No toilet time for you

HellHathNoFury · 29/01/2008 10:12

Ah ok
thanks then Foxy, oh expert of vinegary poop!
Right up the back. LUVERLY.
