ooh aah a little bit more ..............

Are they/Aren't they?
Dippy
Pinions

Work
Pinions has issues with her return to work and her hours are yet to be finalised
Octo made the decision to go back to teaching, as a supply teacher for now
mammyjo was messed around by payroll and overpaid
crossover of uk/spanish public holidays caused problems for Maveta
weeonion is also struggling with issues surrounding her return to work

Babies
Talk about talking
weeonion's C has her first tooth
WCL is tearing her hair out as L is quite literally everywhere
wanky loon HV giving Pesha hassle over D's weight

Everything Else
Eddas made her Buggy Snuggle and it looks fab!
Caz has been asked to talk to teenagers about being a young mum
Oooggs has worries about a planning application right next to Nursery
GMM will be running for DEBRA
Maveta needs to chose a Nursery but with ratios of 1:8 it won't be easy
Maveta is also struggling with other aspects of the Spanish way of life, namely MIL
Hotlipsmummy rejoined the group after being with us during pregnancy, and promptly changed her name to 2hotcrossbunnies in preparation for Easter
Pinions had an op to remove some gremlin moles but is recovering well
Pinions brother has written a rather interesting book (that's the brother that doesn't star in random tv ads )
phdlife popped in to say hi
Pesha went to a party in her wellies and came home very drunk ""maybe a tiddly bit tiddly" by 10pm
Maveta has a new hairdo
Dippy will jump into bed with anyone that offers her a Kinder Egg
Pinions can knit
GMM has her notallowedtotellyou pierced
mj and oooggs had lovely girlie nights out with friends, while SOL took dh with her when she ventured out
GMM has bought a new pushchair
Dippy has stickykeys
KHIN needs (((hugs)))

Meet Ups
We were thinking of multiple meet-ups on same day in May to celebrate birthdays????
NEED TO PROGRESS THIS
Ellie wants to come to Scotland on Feb 15th if they'll have her???

Funny stuff
It was decided that MN is constructive
SPB asked "does it get easier as they get older?" (still pmsl at that one )

Also worthy of note
Octo had more wine leading to this quote -
"Fuck it, bugger working and going to supply and have 4 more children ..."

There were excellent language skills on display in the Liath household .....
"A recent conversation at my sister's house went thus:
Dd - I'm going to bugger off the cat, Mummy.
Me - I beg your pardon?
Dd - I'M GOING TO BUGGER OFF THE CAT MUMMY!
Me -
Dd - Bugger off cat!!
Cat -
I must stop using foul language"

A collaberation between Mr Dippy and NL came up with this new 'lullaby'.....
"Some naughty children didn't go to bed,
Along came a goblin and chopped off their heads.
Their poor parents started to weep,
Because the naughty children wouldn't go to sleep!"
"The naughty children bewailed their fate
But alas and alack it was all too late
The Goblin scarpered, quick as could be
So listen MY naughty children, go to sleep for ME!"

Pesha (or should that be Peesha ) got fed up of not being able to say her own name correctly and has changed it to Mashanapedyjo (Masher for short) thanks to Octo!

so SPB - what have you got planned for tonight? With N being unwell we´ve slid back into bringing him into our bed etc when he cries so tonight it´s no more and we´re going to try and just soothe him back to sleep in his own room. well we have to try something.

Pinions - N has been mixed blw and spoonfed anyway and now that he is starting to refuse the spoon I am just dumping whatever it is on his tray and letting him throw it around. Quite a bit does make it into his mouth.

Just had a lovely 20min sleep with N, I feel great now should do it more often.

StealthPolarBear · 24/01/2008 17:33

Not sure...this morning I was all for letting him cry it out now I'm in the mindless optimism camp - tonight has got to be better. We've started bringing him into bed as well, we're sleeping on avery small futon, DH takes up his usual 2/3 of the bed, T, despite being tiny manages to take up half which leaves me with - well erm I kind of wriggle in where he's not iyswim.
But I think that is going to stop tonight, will prob end up on here at 3am
Ooh I saw him standing Very wobbly, and only for a few seconds, but definitely a stand rather than a slow fall down
Pinions, yes, T used to love apple, cheese, loads of vegetables, now he eats breadsticks (like they're going out of fashoin) clementines (worrying, as they're going out of season), dried apricots, straight from the bag, which is fantastic as I'm sick of cutting them up for his porridge and cucumebr and lettuce! Think they just go through phases, you know when you think "ooh that's nice", then you have it for tea every night for a month until you can't stand the sight of it.
Oh and he refuses all the nice home cooked finger food I made him, obviously. Apart from the turkey twizzlers, unless DH is eating them when my back's turned, which isn't that unlikely!

StealthPolarBear · 24/01/2008 17:35

oooh...grunting...I think that may be the lunch time apricots

cazboldy · 24/01/2008 17:53

you have got to be kidding me 179 messages on the "new" thread already

oooggs · 24/01/2008 17:55

park was great and stopped on way home for a swift glass of vino [bad mummy emotion]

NorthernLurker · 24/01/2008 18:57

B has just eaten a huge tea - 3 large ice cubes of beef stew with mini pasta stars and then a big bowl of porridge and fruit. Dh needs the pc this evening so probably won't be back later - have fun

justpinions · 24/01/2008 20:27

Made an attempt to catch up since but there are way too many posts on last thread so will have to make do with E's summary !

Feeding just bloomin well baffles me.

I gave T mushed up casserole for lunch and he spat it everywhere. I gave him the very same casserole for tea, but in big chunks and finger fed and he loved it !!?. So farewell mashed up food . Suppose I can give him the same that I give L which in theory will start to make things easier. I always worry he's not eating enough when I give him "bit" food iyswim.

Right off to attempt catch up again, not sure will get very far though ??

weeonion · 24/01/2008 20:31

evening folks - just posting so i can find you later. off to try - i repeat try and catch up!!! there is this whole thread and most of the old one to read!!!!

Pesha · 24/01/2008 20:37

FFS have had a text from xp saying that one of their cars is out of action so his wife cannot come down and collect Maia for the weekend tomorrow as planned. He has said they can come down and see her from 12 till 5 on saturday afternoon but its hardly the same, she was really upset and still when she went up to bed asked if she could pack a bag to go to their house I have texted back and said can he not get a lift or a bus or something to go to work on friday (assuming thats why wife cant use the other car to drive down) but dont expect him to say yes. It was his fucking choice to move over 4 hours away from her, he should make sure he's still able to come and get her. they are fucking her about so much. Last time she went he hardly spent any time with her cos apparently was feeling abit poorly, time before that he cancelled cos they were ill. Its only once a month ffs

I hate just having to stand back and watch him fuck up my daughter. She s become so insecure and emotional. He's such a cock

oooggs · 24/01/2008 20:43

idiot - Pesha - poor M

they have all been little buggers to put to bed and I am going to have to go soon otherwise won't be able to cope when they wake in the night, dh is on lates

Pesha · 24/01/2008 20:45

Pinions - I expect he'd soon let you know if he wasnt getting enough!

Hi WO

Oooggs - at glass of wine, if I could do that when I took dc to the park I think we'd go alot more often!

Maveta · 24/01/2008 20:45

oh pesha that is so awful, I am so sorry for you and M that they are mucking her around like this. It´s everything you worried about. I can only imagine how angry it must be making you.

Pinions - I gave N spaghetti with pesto today and he loved it, grabbed handfuls and threw it everywhere suddenly had images of going out with him to a restaurant and flinging his food into a neighbouring diner´s hair! lucky we don´t eat out often (ever)

Pesha · 24/01/2008 20:46

Good luck Oooggs - hope they sleep ok for you Or at least not too bad!

justpinions · 24/01/2008 20:52

Mav that's so weird - top of my list is spaghetti and pesto - the only thing is L has an extreme nut allergy so I daren't give it to him and T well we haven't got that far as to working out whether he's got a nut allergy and daren't try with him either iyswim. Might give spag and some other kind of sauce a go tho. Maybe shortened length spag. Isn't it a bit too stringy for them to chew?? Gave him some fusilli pasta and cheese sauce tonight, to feed himself and he loved that too !

justpinions · 24/01/2008 20:53
justpinions · 24/01/2008 20:55

......and he had a garlic nan bread .

mammyjo · 24/01/2008 21:03

Evening all. This is going to be a long post as I havent been on since Tuesday afternoon!

Elkie, so glad to hear that you got your things replaced

CD, I love that bed, but I dont believe you ever answered the question of how your other one was so wrecked

Runny, night out sounds good. I warn you though, I really cannot hold my drink in the way I once could. Total lightweight these days

Pesha, did you get to the dentist? Sorry to hear about M getting messed around, easy for xp to cancel but its you who has to pick up the pieces
I did look at that hideous piercing link you had posted last night. Eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww

SPB, T looked so cute in his photo, he looked so grown up! Sending >>> your way.

Maveta, hope N settles for you tonight. >> for you too. I was really shocked to hear about Heath Ledger yesterday. Being of the chick flick persuasion I loved him in 10 things I hate about you. Cant believe he was only 28

Eddas, glad ds is better today. Hope he is back to himself very soon

Ange, lovely to hear that Izzy is growing well. Bless her, she looks so scrummy!

Ellie, hope you manage to sort things with J. It just sounds so heartbreaking for you Hope you are ok xx

Pinions, glad you have got work sorted out at last!
I use chammomile teething powders for F if she needs them, although she has been pretty good so far. They just seem to calm her a little bit.
F is exactly the same with the food. Will gladly eat finger food. Point blank refused to be spoon fed breakfast today though. Independent little madam

Pesha · 24/01/2008 21:03

After some more texting xp is going to stay in a hotel down here saturday night and have maia stay with him then bring her back Sunday which she'll love I'm sure. DP says why cant they use the money for the hotel to pay to fix the car?! I'm still upset that they continue to keep messing her about and cant be more reliable and offer her more consistency which is really what she needs from him. But pleased that he is prepared to make a bit more effort now this weekend.

Maveta · 24/01/2008 21:04

N loves any tomato based sauce.. I broke it in half and he managed fine. a few times he even sucked up a whole noodle, so cute!

oooggs · 24/01/2008 21:11

bugger been up with dd already - well electric blanket on (I am such a wimp - couldn't live further north than Exeter!!!) and I am off to bed in a mo!

Sexonlegs · 24/01/2008 21:32

Too many posts!!!

MJ, lovely to see you.

Pinions, you have been busy on here today love!

Pesha, so sorry that your xp has been messing about again. So unfair on poor M

Eddas, glad ds is on the mend.

SPB/Maveta, sending you bucket loads of sleep vibes.

Oooggs, hope you have a decent night tonight. V of your electric blanket. I would love one. I go to bed wearing my fleece dressing gown - a real passion killer!!

Christ head has emptied already.

All ok here. B was fine after her bumped chin - she does have a big bruise tho poor lamb! K has a rash so got a call from nursery. I didn't go and collect her as they said she was happy as larry and no temperature. An hour later they phoned to say she had a slight temperature and had puked her whole bottle back. Have to say I was somewhat concerned. Picked her up and she was on top form. Ate tea and had her bedtime bottle with no consequences! So, God knows what was up. Hoping whatever it is/was has gone.

How is everyone else ce soir?

justpinions · 24/01/2008 21:41

Have I .

Ce soir? Ce soir ca va tres bien parce-ce qu'il est tranquil et qu'il n y a rien a faire. Mais il est trop difficile a faire le catch up. Et j'ai faim.

justpinions · 24/01/2008 21:48

Sexonlegs · 24/01/2008 21:50

Tonight has been very good because it has been very quiet and there is nothing to do. But it is too difficult to catch up. And I am hungry. Oui?

liath · 24/01/2008 21:50

And that's all I can say in French .
