ooh aah a little bit more ..............

Are they/Aren't they?
Dippy
Pinions

Work
Pinions has issues with her return to work and her hours are yet to be finalised
Octo made the decision to go back to teaching, as a supply teacher for now
mammyjo was messed around by payroll and overpaid
crossover of uk/spanish public holidays caused problems for Maveta
weeonion is also struggling with issues surrounding her return to work

Babies
Talk about talking
weeonion's C has her first tooth
WCL is tearing her hair out as L is quite literally everywhere
wanky loon HV giving Pesha hassle over D's weight

Everything Else
Eddas made her Buggy Snuggle and it looks fab!
Caz has been asked to talk to teenagers about being a young mum
Oooggs has worries about a planning application right next to Nursery
GMM will be running for DEBRA
Maveta needs to chose a Nursery but with ratios of 1:8 it won't be easy
Maveta is also struggling with other aspects of the Spanish way of life, namely MIL
Hotlipsmummy rejoined the group after being with us during pregnancy, and promptly changed her name to 2hotcrossbunnies in preparation for Easter
Pinions had an op to remove some gremlin moles but is recovering well
Pinions brother has written a rather interesting book (that's the brother that doesn't star in random tv ads )
phdlife popped in to say hi
Pesha went to a party in her wellies and came home very drunk ""maybe a tiddly bit tiddly" by 10pm
Maveta has a new hairdo
Dippy will jump into bed with anyone that offers her a Kinder Egg
Pinions can knit
GMM has her notallowedtotellyou pierced
mj and oooggs had lovely girlie nights out with friends, while SOL took dh with her when she ventured out
GMM has bought a new pushchair
Dippy has stickykeys
KHIN needs (((hugs)))

Meet Ups
We were thinking of multiple meet-ups on same day in May to celebrate birthdays????
NEED TO PROGRESS THIS
Ellie wants to come to Scotland on Feb 15th if they'll have her???

Funny stuff
It was decided that MN is constructive
SPB asked "does it get easier as they get older?" (still pmsl at that one )

Also worthy of note
Octo had more wine leading to this quote -
"Fuck it, bugger working and going to supply and have 4 more children ..."

There were excellent language skills on display in the Liath household .....
"A recent conversation at my sister's house went thus:
Dd - I'm going to bugger off the cat, Mummy.
Me - I beg your pardon?
Dd - I'M GOING TO BUGGER OFF THE CAT MUMMY!
Me -
Dd - Bugger off cat!!
Cat -
I must stop using foul language"

A collaberation between Mr Dippy and NL came up with this new 'lullaby'.....
"Some naughty children didn't go to bed,
Along came a goblin and chopped off their heads.
Their poor parents started to weep,
Because the naughty children wouldn't go to sleep!"
"The naughty children bewailed their fate
But alas and alack it was all too late
The Goblin scarpered, quick as could be
So listen MY naughty children, go to sleep for ME!"

Pesha (or should that be Peesha ) got fed up of not being able to say her own name correctly and has changed it to Mashanapedyjo (Masher for short) thanks to Octo!

Right - about to set off for stitches to be removed.

StealthPolarBear · 28/01/2008 15:56

poor pinions
Hi everyone

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2008 16:36

Most advice I'd give already been given out, I think, Eddas - P hasn't had any milk for about 2 months now - none at all - She drinks v.dilute juice from a Tommee Tippee Cup or from a Doidy Cup.

Poor you Pinions Sounds hellish, hoping the new meds can help out.

DD1 is being the grumpiest little monster in the entire Universe!!! Driving me nuts.

Best go put dinner on.........

NorthernLurker · 28/01/2008 17:02

we can't get much into B with a cup - well any at all really. Am relying on the breastfeeds she still has plus the pretty high fluid/milk content of a lot of her food to get us by till she decides to get on with that particular skill.

StealthPolarBear · 28/01/2008 17:10

T seems to quite enjoy a cup - very messy though as he's not very good at it
Dippy, how come she's not having milk? Did she just refuse one day?

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2008 17:15

Like all my others, the need for BF just dwindled until one day there just didn't seem any point - She is thriving and happy, sleeping well and eating mounds so I am not worried - She gets her diary intake through milk in her cereal and cheese and yogurts; and, like I said, she drinks an adequate amount of juice from a beaker cup during the day. All my others have been the same and they haven't died yet!! xx

NorthernLurker · 28/01/2008 17:20

Both mine have been like that Dippy - always seemed very happy and healthy - no bendy bones or anything. It's a bit galling though when you see other babies having huge beakers or bottles of milk though isn't it? And then, horror of horrors, mum asks you how much milk your lo has [blush

StealthPolarBear · 28/01/2008 17:30

lol at her diary intake
glad it's nothing to worry about, i just didn't know if it was! looks like she's following the dippy family tradition

justpinions · 28/01/2008 17:52

Stitches gone .

Bf finished here quite a while ago but T is having about 3 bottles a day, one morning, one mid afternoon, one before bed.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/01/2008 17:57

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/01/2008 18:08

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 28/01/2008 18:15

I have some sympathy with the position of 'I'm feeling crap so lets buy something luxurious and yummy for the baby to cheer myself up' BUT a tracksuit - eeek NO!
Never heard of this brand either - is that to my credit?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/01/2008 18:16

Octo has joined the hun brigade
she really does have way too much in the way of cloth nappy/associated clothing goods
