ooh aah a little bit more ..............

Are they/Aren't they?
Dippy
Pinions

Work
Pinions has issues with her return to work and her hours are yet to be finalised
Octo made the decision to go back to teaching, as a supply teacher for now
mammyjo was messed around by payroll and overpaid
crossover of uk/spanish public holidays caused problems for Maveta
weeonion is also struggling with issues surrounding her return to work

Babies
Talk about talking
weeonion's C has her first tooth
WCL is tearing her hair out as L is quite literally everywhere
wanky loon HV giving Pesha hassle over D's weight

Everything Else
Eddas made her Buggy Snuggle and it looks fab!
Caz has been asked to talk to teenagers about being a young mum
Oooggs has worries about a planning application right next to Nursery
GMM will be running for DEBRA
Maveta needs to chose a Nursery but with ratios of 1:8 it won't be easy
Maveta is also struggling with other aspects of the Spanish way of life, namely MIL
Hotlipsmummy rejoined the group after being with us during pregnancy, and promptly changed her name to 2hotcrossbunnies in preparation for Easter
Pinions had an op to remove some gremlin moles but is recovering well
Pinions brother has written a rather interesting book (that's the brother that doesn't star in random tv ads )
phdlife popped in to say hi
Pesha went to a party in her wellies and came home very drunk ""maybe a tiddly bit tiddly" by 10pm
Maveta has a new hairdo
Dippy will jump into bed with anyone that offers her a Kinder Egg
Pinions can knit
GMM has her notallowedtotellyou pierced
mj and oooggs had lovely girlie nights out with friends, while SOL took dh with her when she ventured out
GMM has bought a new pushchair
Dippy has stickykeys
KHIN needs (((hugs)))

Meet Ups
We were thinking of multiple meet-ups on same day in May to celebrate birthdays????
NEED TO PROGRESS THIS
Ellie wants to come to Scotland on Feb 15th if they'll have her???

Funny stuff
It was decided that MN is constructive
SPB asked "does it get easier as they get older?" (still pmsl at that one )

Also worthy of note
Octo had more wine leading to this quote -
"Fuck it, bugger working and going to supply and have 4 more children ..."

There were excellent language skills on display in the Liath household .....
"A recent conversation at my sister's house went thus:
Dd - I'm going to bugger off the cat, Mummy.
Me - I beg your pardon?
Dd - I'M GOING TO BUGGER OFF THE CAT MUMMY!
Me -
Dd - Bugger off cat!!
Cat -
I must stop using foul language"

A collaberation between Mr Dippy and NL came up with this new 'lullaby'.....
"Some naughty children didn't go to bed,
Along came a goblin and chopped off their heads.
Their poor parents started to weep,
Because the naughty children wouldn't go to sleep!"
"The naughty children bewailed their fate
But alas and alack it was all too late
The Goblin scarpered, quick as could be
So listen MY naughty children, go to sleep for ME!"

Pesha (or should that be Peesha ) got fed up of not being able to say her own name correctly and has changed it to Mashanapedyjo (Masher for short) thanks to Octo!

oooggs · 28/01/2008 12:54

hello - sorry lots of menfolk being PITA

dippy - good luck on the job front

glad scottish night went well

ellie - you ok? hope to meet you sometime soon

Ange - where abouts are you? probably too far for us to pop by

Pesha · 28/01/2008 12:59

Hello!!

NL - sorry you had such a crap night

I couldnt sleep last night, started worrying about why I keep feeling sick and having some period type aches so walked into town this morning and bought a pg test Was negative Soooo relieved! Has made me realise just how much I dont want to be pg again!

Also got up at half 6 this morning and did my exercise video - I'm crap at it again, totally uncoordinated and unfit. It goes abit quick and cos I'm knackered I cant work out how to do half the moves so end up just jumping around waving my arms like a muppet But I was like that when I started it before, just need to keep doing and I should soon get the hang of it again. Feel good for having done it though. Dyaln was sat in highchair munching on a hot cross bun watching me and looking very puzzled! Then older dc came down just as i was doing the sit ups and the cool down bit, Nathan kept telling me I was very clever Although the constant questions from both of them were abit distracting

And we were ready early for school Told them to get their coats on then looked at time and it was only 8.25 so let them play for another 10 mins before we left!

Pesha · 28/01/2008 13:01

Hi Oooggs

Ellie not sure if I said last night but Grrr at numbnuts bloke being a twat

mammyjo · 28/01/2008 13:10

Hi all. Been to gp this morning to restart on the pill. Used to take it pre ds and dd. Have noticed I have been getting very angry pmt type stuff just before AF. Hoping this will calm me down again! My periods have definitely got worse following each baby. Never really had any trouble pre dc's!

Ellie {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}} for you since you actually said you needed them. Hope you are ok today. Such a shame we dont live closer, would gladly have you over even if just for a chat! Shame about that guy, but as NL said its better to find out now that he is a "pathetic limp vegetable of a man"!!! Well put I thought What an arsehole to completely ignore you

Pesha, well done on doing the exercise video! That is impressive for a Monday morning.

NL, sorry to hear you had a bad night. Hope tonight brings more sleep

Ange, cant quite believe your dh. They really are a different breed.

CD, what are you applying for? Or should I not be asking, what with all the cryptic messages! Glad you are ok anyway. Are you going to retest? It is possible to get a false negative I think?

oooggs · 28/01/2008 13:14

yes you can get false negatives but not false positives

hi mammyjo & pesha >>>>

elkiedee · 28/01/2008 13:16

Ellie, sorry that that guy turned out to be such a waste of space. Hope you come across someone who deserves you soon. And hugs.

Still waiting for D to wake up from his nap. Think I'll eat something and then put him in his buggy anyway. He stayed asleep for about half an hour after I did that last Wednesday!

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2008 13:53

You didn't happen to buy a pack of 2 PG tests, did you, Pesha!!? Will test again if AF doesn't turn up.....

Why oh why can't I live P alone for 2 secs without her crying her heart out!!!!!? Sigh ....

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2008 13:56

MJ - I am applying for the person who books all the NCT Antenatal Classes for the Sussex area (excluding Brighton and Hove) - It's what I currently do on a voluntary basis for Eastbourne NCT only - so doing it for a bigger area and getting paid for it ain't bad!! Less money and hours than they made out it would be though.

NorthernLurker · 28/01/2008 13:58

because she loves you so Dippy

I've got B frolicking in the travel cot next to me right now. Abandoned nap plans as was sorting out our tax credit award thing. Then got in big state that had done it wrong every year for past 6 years and rang them for the third time practically in tears - only to find out that I have in fact done it perfectly! Phew! But the downside is that I need to go out to school in 50 minutes so better not to nap - but press on.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/01/2008 14:18

EDDAS I NEED YOU!
HAVE EMAILED YOU, AT DADS SO NO MSN

OP posts:
Pesha · 28/01/2008 14:32

Pack of 3 Dippy - £1 in poundland (obviouly £1!) which is probably just as well cos until af returns I am likely to keep having these little panics!

Do you have a pound shop where you can buy them dippy or would you like me to send you a job lot?!

mammyjo · 28/01/2008 14:45

Hi oooggs

Lol at job lot of pregnancy tests!! Hoping not to need those ever, ever again!! Cd, that job sounds perfect for you, especially if you already do it for free! Shame it is not as many hours as you thought, but maybe once you get in there then more hours could become available. You never know anyway

justpinions · 28/01/2008 14:48

Want to post sth which may help those of you with period/type problems but takes me ages to think about what I want to say so will think it through first and then post.

And breathe .

mammyjo · 28/01/2008 14:50

You ok pinions?

justpinions · 28/01/2008 14:52

yes mj just being typical me right now .

Eddas · 28/01/2008 15:03

haven't read thread but have a question, please help

ds doesn't drink much. He is even having les milk now.

So the question is, has anyone got any ideas how I can get him to drink more? Have tried different drinks/beakers, haven't tried cups yet

he's the complete opposite of dd who drinks all the time. She used to down her milk without a second thought! DS now has about 6ozs a day, which I know isn't enough.

Isn't to do with the bug from last week either, just started noticing it more lately.

Thanks

runnyhabbit · 28/01/2008 15:10

Hello all

mj Just got your text. Thank you, it only seems 2 mins since I handed my notice in! and lol at not needing a pregnancy test again. Same here (I'm also thinking of going back on the pill for the same reasons, although my hv recommended evening primose and magnesium which do seem to be helping my mood swings)
scottish gals very of your night out
There must've def been something in the air with men over the weekend
Last night dh asked me to make him sandwiches for today. Which I normally do if he's been working or busy. But after asking me, he just stood in the kitchen watching me unload dishwasher, load back up, unload washing machine etc. Then he has the cheek to remind me about his sandwiches. had to lock myself in the bathroom to stop an argument. Came back downstairs and calmly told him that as he wasn't doing anything, he could make them himself.
It gets to 10.10pm, and he still hasn't made his sodding sarnies, sitting on the settee pouting. So muggings here makes them knowing he's up at 4am. But he admitted that he couldn't be bothered to make them himself At this point, I did let rip. FFS. So annoyed with him, I still am, and he knows itGRRRRRRHHHHHH

justpinions · 28/01/2008 15:10

Erm...

When I was bf I got a lot of cramp/period type pain, and also terrible mood swings/tension so asked the docs what I could do, it felt like af was coming but never actually did iyswim. She gave me micronor the mini pill as it was fine to take whilst bf, but told me it should sort out the problems.

Anyway, as soon as I started to take it, it was like a magic pill cos all symptoms disappeared immediately, and I would have said that lasted a good 4 months or so. So would definitely recommend to those on here with any similar probs. I also took it in the am as soon as I got up, cos I could almost feel it wearing off from the day before iyswim??

Sadly I need to add that my magic pill has now totally worn off and the PMT MONSTER has returned with a vengeance and is hellish. I had, last week the worst period, (if I'm honest) that I can remember ever. Very very heavy with a huge down just before, and the minute^ it arrived it totally lifted and went back to normal, whatever that may be, so have now switched to another type (trinovum) and hoping that will help.

Not really sure if that makes sense tbh, but yes the PMT MONSTER has most definitely made its comeback, mores the pity.

What a waffle.

runnyhabbit · 28/01/2008 15:14

eddas - W is the same (apart from his milk) until we discovered on the weekend that he will very happily drink from a sports bottle type spout - the ones where you have to pull the top bit up to get anything out? And W particularly likes tropicana go (pack of 4 bottles for £1 in Tesco)

justpinions · 28/01/2008 15:15

Also stopped taking the micronor last week, which lightens your af I think, so I think I had, what felt like anyway, about 10 months periods combined into one. Have never felt so ill.

Nice.

Hope thats not too grim, sorry ???

Maybe I should just have another at least no af for another 9 months+ ??!

justpinions · 28/01/2008 15:18

Eddas - different drinks/different cups or beakers/milkshake powder/warm drinks ??

Eddas · 28/01/2008 15:35

i'll try him with one of dd's bottles. and had thought of warming juice since it is quite cold i guess.

parenting is so complicated
