ooh aah a little bit more ..............

Are they/Aren't they?
Dippy
Pinions

Work
Pinions has issues with her return to work and her hours are yet to be finalised
Octo made the decision to go back to teaching, as a supply teacher for now
mammyjo was messed around by payroll and overpaid
crossover of uk/spanish public holidays caused problems for Maveta
weeonion is also struggling with issues surrounding her return to work

Babies
Talk about talking
weeonion's C has her first tooth
WCL is tearing her hair out as L is quite literally everywhere
wanky loon HV giving Pesha hassle over D's weight

Everything Else
Eddas made her Buggy Snuggle and it looks fab!
Caz has been asked to talk to teenagers about being a young mum
Oooggs has worries about a planning application right next to Nursery
GMM will be running for DEBRA
Maveta needs to chose a Nursery but with ratios of 1:8 it won't be easy
Maveta is also struggling with other aspects of the Spanish way of life, namely MIL
Hotlipsmummy rejoined the group after being with us during pregnancy, and promptly changed her name to 2hotcrossbunnies in preparation for Easter
Pinions had an op to remove some gremlin moles but is recovering well
Pinions brother has written a rather interesting book (that's the brother that doesn't star in random tv ads )
phdlife popped in to say hi
Pesha went to a party in her wellies and came home very drunk ""maybe a tiddly bit tiddly" by 10pm
Maveta has a new hairdo
Dippy will jump into bed with anyone that offers her a Kinder Egg
Pinions can knit
GMM has her notallowedtotellyou pierced
mj and oooggs had lovely girlie nights out with friends, while SOL took dh with her when she ventured out
GMM has bought a new pushchair
Dippy has stickykeys
KHIN needs (((hugs)))

Meet Ups
We were thinking of multiple meet-ups on same day in May to celebrate birthdays????
NEED TO PROGRESS THIS
Ellie wants to come to Scotland on Feb 15th if they'll have her???

Funny stuff
It was decided that MN is constructive
SPB asked "does it get easier as they get older?" (still pmsl at that one )

Also worthy of note
Octo had more wine leading to this quote -
"Fuck it, bugger working and going to supply and have 4 more children ..."

There were excellent language skills on display in the Liath household .....
"A recent conversation at my sister's house went thus:
Dd - I'm going to bugger off the cat, Mummy.
Me - I beg your pardon?
Dd - I'M GOING TO BUGGER OFF THE CAT MUMMY!
Me -
Dd - Bugger off cat!!
Cat -
I must stop using foul language"

A collaberation between Mr Dippy and NL came up with this new 'lullaby'.....
"Some naughty children didn't go to bed,
Along came a goblin and chopped off their heads.
Their poor parents started to weep,
Because the naughty children wouldn't go to sleep!"
"The naughty children bewailed their fate
But alas and alack it was all too late
The Goblin scarpered, quick as could be
So listen MY naughty children, go to sleep for ME!"

Pesha (or should that be Peesha ) got fed up of not being able to say her own name correctly and has changed it to Mashanapedyjo (Masher for short) thanks to Octo!

ellesbelles · 27/01/2008 22:40

Hi all not got time to catch up with everything as not been on the thread for so long - had an ill dd for a couple of weeks. Hope everyone is well.

Just to say GMM it was 11.30 I left and thought I did alright, was still standing after the sangria, the undrinkable cocktails in the posho wine bar, the jack daniels at the tacky chain pub and the drinks at the even tackier 80's disco. Feeling it today though - bit rough around the edges.

Also I have pictures of you and WO on the dance floor. Might make them public!!

When we going out again!?!?

AngeG · 27/01/2008 22:51

Ooh should like to see those pics Ellesbelles.

Hope DD is all better now.

Off to bed now. Night xx

geordiemacminx · 28/01/2008 06:17

Anyway - how IS everyone?? Apart from all the totally CRAP DP / DH's!!!?

Absolutely ROFL @ Pesha saying we are all going to go to AngeG's house to tell her DH that he is a wanker and to eat his pudding!! I'm up for it!! First things first though ..... What's he having for pudding!!?

POTC is right - I did a PG test, BFN; but am now a week overdue!!!

Wish you could've come on Thursday night, POTC

elkiedee · 28/01/2008 10:40

Glad you had a better night Eddas.

D was up for a few hours again, sigh, between about 11 am and 2 am. His second walk in the buggy finally put him to sleep, though he did threaten to wake up. We then overslept to about 7.20 (dp should have got up about 6.30) and D slept until 8.30 am. I can't get used to breakfast without him gurgling next to me. He's been grizzly but is now happily sitting in his cage investigating his big lego style bricks. Possibly not for much longer though!

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2008 10:41

New thread title has to be something about our crappy menfolk, Pillock!

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2008 10:43

Have emailed you Elkie - do reply when you get a min!

NorthernLurker · 28/01/2008 10:52

Morning all
Hmmmm of good nights. Bit of a rubbish night here - stand by for moan! Basically B woke just after we went to bed (you might think it was because dh was snoring but I couldn't possibly comment ) fed and back down asleep by 12.40am. So far so ok. But then she woke at 4.15 and I could instantly see she was far too wide awke and perky to settle back in her cot or with me. So got the travel cot out and set it up downstairs and popped her in. Last time we tried that she settled in about 3 minutes. But last night - no way. Left her to it - but after 20 minutes (sounds like such a horrible mother don't I - she did calm down 2 or 3 times and you would think 'oh that's it' only for her to start again) I went down and got her. She was standing up in her travel cot hanging on to the sides and looking imploringly towards the door. Picked her up and fed her - now there's no way she needs another feed 4 hours after the last one - but she fed and fed then cuddled up to me happily. Watched some tv and then made it back to bed by 5.30am. So I feel knackered and crap this morning - but she is such a lovely baby so I don't mind actually. Much.

SOL - glad you had such a lovely day with your Grandma.
POTC - how rude! Still at least you know he's a rude, pathetic limp vegetable of a man before you wasted any time on him.
The scottish meet up sounds like quite a night. ROFL at WO's poor other half thinking he was on to a good thing - honestly don't these men understand we've just had a baby! I think that excuse is good for at least another 18 months
Dippy - how is the form going? And I think I sent you something relating to the other thread but seeing CC's message there has panicked me it's lurking at the bottom of a bag somewhere. Did you get it?
Eddas - glad you're feeling bouncy like tigger today!
Elkie - you can be my bad night buddy today
Hello everyone else

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2008 11:08

Arse to bad night NL XX Glad B is such a lovely baby though Form is done and dusted and sent off - Shall I send you a copy so you could perhaps have a quick look?? YES - I did get what you sent for the other thread, but I have not yet had an email back from the person that it is for giving me their address.

All very cryptic.

NorthernLurker · 28/01/2008 11:14

Oh good - yes do send me the form and I'll try and think what interview questions I would ask from it then e-mail them back Actually - dh has a book called 'great answers to tough interview questions' It's quite old but he's found it useful on many occasions - would you like me to send it down for you to take a look at?
