ooh aah a little bit more ..............

Are they/Aren't they?
Dippy
Pinions

Work
Pinions has issues with her return to work and her hours are yet to be finalised
Octo made the decision to go back to teaching, as a supply teacher for now
mammyjo was messed around by payroll and overpaid
crossover of uk/spanish public holidays caused problems for Maveta
weeonion is also struggling with issues surrounding her return to work

Babies
Talk about talking
weeonion's C has her first tooth
WCL is tearing her hair out as L is quite literally everywhere
wanky loon HV giving Pesha hassle over D's weight

Everything Else
Eddas made her Buggy Snuggle and it looks fab!
Caz has been asked to talk to teenagers about being a young mum
Oooggs has worries about a planning application right next to Nursery
GMM will be running for DEBRA
Maveta needs to chose a Nursery but with ratios of 1:8 it won't be easy
Maveta is also struggling with other aspects of the Spanish way of life, namely MIL
Hotlipsmummy rejoined the group after being with us during pregnancy, and promptly changed her name to 2hotcrossbunnies in preparation for Easter
Pinions had an op to remove some gremlin moles but is recovering well
Pinions brother has written a rather interesting book (that's the brother that doesn't star in random tv ads )
phdlife popped in to say hi
Pesha went to a party in her wellies and came home very drunk ""maybe a tiddly bit tiddly" by 10pm
Maveta has a new hairdo
Dippy will jump into bed with anyone that offers her a Kinder Egg
Pinions can knit
GMM has her notallowedtotellyou pierced
mj and oooggs had lovely girlie nights out with friends, while SOL took dh with her when she ventured out
GMM has bought a new pushchair
Dippy has stickykeys
KHIN needs (((hugs)))

Meet Ups
We were thinking of multiple meet-ups on same day in May to celebrate birthdays????
NEED TO PROGRESS THIS
Ellie wants to come to Scotland on Feb 15th if they'll have her???

Funny stuff
It was decided that MN is constructive
SPB asked "does it get easier as they get older?" (still pmsl at that one )

Also worthy of note
Octo had more wine leading to this quote -
"Fuck it, bugger working and going to supply and have 4 more children ..."

There were excellent language skills on display in the Liath household .....
"A recent conversation at my sister's house went thus:
Dd - I'm going to bugger off the cat, Mummy.
Me - I beg your pardon?
Dd - I'M GOING TO BUGGER OFF THE CAT MUMMY!
Me -
Dd - Bugger off cat!!
Cat -
I must stop using foul language"

A collaberation between Mr Dippy and NL came up with this new 'lullaby'.....
"Some naughty children didn't go to bed,
Along came a goblin and chopped off their heads.
Their poor parents started to weep,
Because the naughty children wouldn't go to sleep!"
"The naughty children bewailed their fate
But alas and alack it was all too late
The Goblin scarpered, quick as could be
So listen MY naughty children, go to sleep for ME!"

Pesha (or should that be Peesha ) got fed up of not being able to say her own name correctly and has changed it to Mashanapedyjo (Masher for short) thanks to Octo!

Me too! Sex? At 1.15am? You are joking right?

Idreamofchocolate · 25/01/2008 21:40

Pesha glad it's not just me then! I wasn't expecting pain having had a wisdom tooth out a couple of years ago and not even noticing he'd done it, so am not scared of the dentist. I could honestly feel him drilling and, like you, not imagining the pain. It was real!

Idreamofchocolate · 25/01/2008 21:42

Lol WCL. Sleep/sex/sleep/sex?

Sleep wins every time.

But then I am old.

AngeG · 25/01/2008 22:05

PMSL at the sex talk!

Sleep usually wins for me, I too am a morning person

Pesha · 25/01/2008 22:10

Dont you feel all yuck and achey and bleurgh in the mornings though?!

AngeG · 25/01/2008 22:24

Sometimes, but not always!!

Maveta · 26/01/2008 07:22

lol at the sex chat last night (am very impressed by your 1am effort ange! ).

Elkie - how scary for you, so glad D is ok (and you!). It´s so easy for the smallest thing to make us feel like bad mummy´s (and it´s never true )

SOL - hope you got out in the end, I would be fuming too. Bloody disorganised dhs!

Hi IDOC! I suspected people going back to work was the cause of our thread going quieter.. it was kind of inevitable great news re. the weight loss!

GMM - great news re. the ebaying! what a result! WIsh I could do the same but seeing as most big stuff was handed down to us, I think we could have some rather annoyed relatives on our hands if we did! lol

Last night was ok again, 8pm - 12am quick feed and then down til 5am, into bed, feed and down til 6.30am. I´m happy with that! (for now)

Am currently sat here fuming at dh. It´s been AGES since he got up before me, for the last couple of weeks I´ve got up first, changed N´s nappy, put the coffee on, fed the cats, fed N breakfast. ONE morning, ONE morning I ask him to and he got all stroppy about it. When I asked him to give N his breakfast I noticed he had a face on and when I asked if he was annoyed he said ´yeah, well I guess it´s just my turn to do it all, right?¨. Um. yes, actually. wanker

StealthPolarBear · 26/01/2008 08:19

elkie how scary! Glad he's OK and didn't have to go to hospital. Lol at "very happy baby" - it's official now
Pesha, glad a bit of self medication is helping with the pain.
Maveta at your DH, yes, it sounds as though it's been his turn for quite a while!
SOL, did he get back in time?
DRUM ROLL PLEASE ... T only woke once at 3.30 for a feed, then slept until 7.40am!
Although I did wake him slightly at 10.30 dropping my toothbrush noisily into the mug so I gave him a dream feed then - might try again for the next few nights!
GMM - at modelling agency, would you think about trying any more reputable ones? Can I ask you a list of questions about your new car seat, as am thinking about the next stage for us as well?
Was the ewborn one you had the maxi cosi cabriofix? Did you have the Isofix base with it? Do you need to replace the base for the next stage up, or just keep it for the new seat? (I hope!!) Finally...where did you get the new seat for £99 from?
If you've followed all that, thanks

StealthPolarBear · 26/01/2008 08:20

The website shows them looking the same, but it doesn't call them by the same name (EasyFix) and doesn't explain. I'll be annoyed if I have to buy a new base as well

cazboldy · 26/01/2008 08:40

morning all

my two youngest are still asleep - as is dd1, but ds1 has just gone off brushing with my dad, and of course he "couldn't help" waking ds2 so there's my lie in gone

we often "do the deed" in the middle of the night.......dh needs a couple of hours rest first and then when we cuddle up together we just can't help ourselves!

justpinions · 26/01/2008 09:52

...........morning all.

Please can someone reming me never to buy cheap wine again ..........

Bleuuuuurgh.

justpinions · 26/01/2008 09:53

reming remind minging manging monging. ming mang mong.

StealthPolarBear · 26/01/2008 10:16

lol

elkiedee · 26/01/2008 10:18

Morning all

D woke up crying and grizzled for ages last night, and we got upset with each other about it and panicky. But he came home from a late night walk fast asleep and stayed that way, I managed to persuade him to sleep until 8 by resettling him with a dummy when he woke up earlier. He seems to be quite bouncy this morning.

Hope you get over the hangover soon pinions.

Idreamofchocolate · 26/01/2008 10:21

Bit of a hangover Pinions?

Maveta - your dh is being an arse IMHO. You should arrange to go out for an overnighter and let him deal with it all. That'd show him.

My dh has just gone off food shopping so that saves me a job (although I had to make the list and decide what we're all eating for the week,as per usual). Planning on getting all the washing done and hung out today as it's sunny today. Also going to do some gardening. Very sad what makes me happy nowadays.

Oh and then we're going to see this house that we'll never get to buy as 50 squillion other people want it too. Bah!

StealthPolarBear · 26/01/2008 12:12

Where is everyone today?
Am I the only one who is sitting in front of the computer feeling guilty cos DH is decorating our bathroom?
(Can hear him banging something now, aaaah)
Where has Pillock gone?

Pesha · 26/01/2008 12:44

Hello

Maveta at your dh. I made dp get up with Dylan this morning. I told him I was having the dc all afternoon while hes at football so he could get up and have them this morning! Dont think he was too impressed but he did it!

I have a headache, bit worried it might be a hangover headache - I have never had a hangover headache before in my life! I hope this isnt a permanent change

Maia has gone with xp. He didnt say one word to me! Let his wife do all the talking

Its a lovely sunny day here too so I might take N and D and the dog out for a nice walk somewhere later. Cant decide whether to go to the closest place that has a river and we've actually never been before, supposed to be very nice but likely to be very mudy. Or drive a bit further and go to Ham Hill where its higher so should be less muddy but we've been there lots and its also likely to be quite busy. Or we might just go to local crappy field if my headache doesnt clear up

StealthPolarBear · 26/01/2008 12:50

Pesha, it shows you're getting old when you start to have hangovers when you didn't used to

NorthernLurker · 26/01/2008 14:55

Ugh am knackered - have been cleaning the whole house this morning (with help from dh and dd1) as we had people coming to view at 2. They came, they saw, they said absolutely nothing. Feel like it was a total waste of time and v depressing. I just want to mooooooooooooove!
But on the plus side - the house looks lovely now

Right dh has taken all girls out - dd2 has a party this pm and I need to go join them but first - catch up time:
Pesha - what an arse your ex is - truly he does not deserve such a special little daughter! Really, really glad he's made a bit more of an effort though - sure she's loving the hotel!
WCL - poor you, poor Arthur!
Caz - glad you found the shoe
SPB - thanks for the link about ibuprofen - I've been avoiding it - but it's annoying because it works much better for me with a headache than paracteamol
WO - sorry to hear how the appeal went - will hope for a good result still though. Is there any chance of changing jobs to one based in Glasgow?
GMM - congratulations on your shopping/selling
IDOC - ouch with the tooth and Good Luck for the house viewingn!
Elkie - how scary with D - and absolutely not your fault - like many others my floors are strewn with hazardous items
Ange - 1.15am - you're a better woman than I!

NorthernLurker · 26/01/2008 15:11

forgot to say - have booked our holiday - fortnight in Scotland in August - same thing as always but I love it! Can't wait!

mammyjo · 26/01/2008 15:42

of the holiday NL! Scotland is lovely. I have quite a few relatives living there, but I dont visit nearly often enough.

Ange, you deserve a medal. I would have been telling dh to bugger off. Tbh, I dont think he would even bother to try his luck at that time of the morning

SOL, hope you managed to get out last night and enjoy yourself

Maveta, definitely your dh turn was well overdue! Dh was moaning because he got up to F twice the other night And you want my sympathy for what exactly?!! Honestly, men!!

Elkie, glad D is ok. Very scary when things like that happen. Not your fault at all, just one of those things. As long as everyone is ok then no harm done.

WO, so sorry about the appeal thing. Hope you take plenty of time off now, dont worry about sick records and things like that. They are not important, you are, so make sure you are ready and able before you even think about going back.

Pesha and pinions, hope the hangovers have cleared now!!

justpinions · 26/01/2008 16:28

....now that was harsh......starting to feel a bit better now.

Only the best stuff will do tonight . If you can't go out and party may as well stay in and party - thats my motto anyway .

Pesha - you sure you've never had a hangover ??! Don't know what your missing..

Have a good evening everyone, whatever you're doing !! x

justpinions · 26/01/2008 16:31

You're missing . Must be the hangover .

Have fun people !

cazboldy · 26/01/2008 17:35

oh meant to say Elkie, don't blame yourself - things like that are bound to happen sometimes. When ds2 was 3 he stuck a little round fizzy sweet up his nose!

Sexonlegs · 26/01/2008 17:42

Hello!!!!

I went out! And had a great time!!!
No drinking, as was driving, but had a fab evening. I am sure I said before, but it was a Murder Mystery meal at a work friends, and we all had to dress in character. V v amusing!

Ange, you are a good wife indeed!

IDOC, how did the house viewing go?

Pinions, you are a little devil! You drinking again ce soir??

Maveta, bloody dh's indeed. Hope yours is pulling his finger out and helping.

Where is Pillock??

Pesha, hope M has a good time and that you enjoyed your boys this afternoon.

MJ, good to see you petal.
