Send the frog/horseagain please.
Well fittinr everyday clothes would help alot too Have you seen that thread on Pierce Brosnan's wife. loks shit in a bikini but stunning in a dress. I want an outfir that will do that for me.

DontDreamItBeIt · 25/01/2008 20:41

I can' find that thread.

Most everyday clothes look shit on me too mrm. It isn't a weight issue. Most clothes are made for fictional "average" shaped women

I don't think me telling you what I eat will help either, other than to give you a benchmark not to exceed .

Will try and remember last 2 days for you:

Thurs:
2 toasted fruit muffins with butter for breakfast.
3 nice biscuits at toddler group.
2 sausages, scrambled eggs, baked beans and potato rosti for lunch (dd won't eat sandwiches or toast, so we always end up having something vaguely 'proper').
Liver, bubble & squeak (shop bought), carrots, sprouts, baby corn, gravy for dinner.
Malt loaf and butter for snack after dd gone to bed.

Today:
Small bowl clusters and one buttered fruit muffin for breakfast.
1 custard cream at toddler group.
Baked potato, cucumber, beetroot and minted lamb kebab for lunch.
Banana mid afternoon.
Wholewheat pasta twists with tomatoes and peppers, and 4 battered chicken balls (random addition because they needed using) for dinner.
Bakewell tart and custard for pudding (again because they needed using).

I did do slimming world, before and during pregnancy, but couldn't do it whilst I was off dairy for dd, and am struggling to work out how to do it with limited dairy (because I think I'm slightly intolerant to it) and no aspartame (because dd eats the same as me and I won't let her have it).
I definitely need to do it again though, as it's the only thing that ever works. Lost over 4 stone last time and was 'woman of the year' in my group .

Exercise is an hour at the gym (strength and cardio) on a Tuesday, and if possible an hour at the weekend. Other than that it's just playing chase running round and round in circles round the living room .

for miscarriage Chloe, but that things are good again with dh.

mustrunmore · 25/01/2008 21:49

I couldnt run Did 5 mins, but just couldnt gt into e rythmn or anything. So I've spent time adding to my shuffle instead

FlameNFurter · 25/01/2008 22:15

Adding to shuffle is always good.

Seeing the dresses at Christmas was what made it all sink into place for me tbh. It is sort of a reversed version of me now - I see myself as the large 14 I was, and not how I am now. I start to see myself vaguely smaller now, then I put on a little bit of weight and in my mind I am the size I would have been if I had put on weight before having lost it(if that makes sense??) - rather than my new jeans feeling snug, and my old "small" jeans still being a bit loose, it feels like I am at my biggest again.

Do you think men have the same weird twisted views of themselves?

for making you cry - I was really hoping it wouldn't!!!

Where've you been anyway CSWS?? I was just coming on to find out if anyone had given you permission to find rl for 24 hours We never seem to get a chance to chat on msn anymore (possibly because I always end up whinging to you and you now probably hide from me ) - and I can't veen track you down now because I am sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy. I have lost track with half term plans now.... I have changed them with you, and in my head so often now I have no idea what the right dates are!

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/01/2008 22:37

Boo! I haven't been awol that long have I?!

Won't be around til tomorrow evening now though, as off to Brum for the day.

So, what would you like to do re dates flame? Come on Sat 16th and stay til when, or come on Sun 17th and stay til when?

2boysmacca · 25/01/2008 23:13

OK mrm, so you want to improve fitness. Well you know you need to scrap looking at time and distance on your treadmill and concentrate on interval training. You also need to look long and hard at your current exercise and look at how your heart rate really is. As someone who was a pre pg fitness bunny, you know in your heart of hearts if your heart rate is working between 50-85% of your max, if it's not, BIngo you have your answer. What strength training do you do?

Chloe, you are right, you def need to incorporate a healthy eating plan, I just don't agree with diets when you cut out meals and fats that you can never feasibly sustain.

I am bordering on the boring/lecturing aren't I?

Right, off to bed it's very late for me but I've been out so my mind is alive (for once)

mustrunmore · 26/01/2008 08:47

You're right about the interval training. I def do tend to use it as a change is better than a rest thing, rather than incorporating it regularly, even though logic tells me better And thinking about it, I lean far too much towards upper body strength, and tend to slack off lower body. I will do an intervsal tonight... with my new shuffle playlisy

Flame, I'm very suprised that I actually understood what you were wafflimg on about in that last post

mustrunmore · 26/01/2008 08:48

Er, BTW, I got a total of 4 hours slee plast night, longest unbroken was a little under 2 hours. ds2 in with us from 12. ds1 tantrum at 2ish

Frizbe · 26/01/2008 10:19

for the lack of sleep MRM, roll on them all being 5 eh! or is that 18??

sound advice off Macca re exercise there and everyone about your body shape, I think you look great hon, I really do and I only saw you once last year did you hear anything on radio 1 this am, they were talking about body image???? (listening to it at work)

mustrunmore · 26/01/2008 10:50

Nah, dont do radio one!

BTW as I ws saying to Flame, I was very overweight that time in the summer, but since ten, I've put it all back on (due to the non sleeping ds1 all summer) I'm only about 6lbs lighter than just after ds1 was born Now, i know a marginal amount might have converted to muscle, but even so, thats gross.

Got my Mum comig today, so at least I can do a run ronight while she plays with the boys, then she's going to look after them once in bed tomorrow so me and dh can go out for a drink and a chat. Has your dh done another test yet BTW?

Then I've got my Dad apparently coming on my birthday , so that messes up our family day the next day when dh is on an RDO. Oh well!

DontDreamItBeIt · 26/01/2008 17:05

I've put a couple of new pics on my profile...the people one is with my brother, not my dp and the other one is that pirate ship mrm. Dn loved it.

I've read a whole book today

OP posts:
FlameNFurter · 26/01/2008 17:13

I have read sod all today.

Pain has now shifted round to my back Pooing as normal (medication seems to have done not a lot ot change that part of me), feel more like a pulled muscle at the front now, back feels kidney-ish so am drinking lots of fluids in case I am now dehydrated to go with it all

ARGH!

FlameNFurter · 26/01/2008 17:30

Frizbe - are you still doing your personal blog? I'm in blog reading/writing mode atm

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/01/2008 20:35

Well we had a busy but good day out in Birmingham. Sea life centre was good, then we went to Cafe Rouge for lunch (also on Tesco vouchers!), where dd ate very little and wouldn't sit still for the whole meal, but did manage longer than she normally does. She was delighted to see nanny, and nanny was delighted to see her. Dd wanted to hold nanny and sometimes grandad's hands all the time, but wouldn't entertain the idea of holding mummy's or daddy's! We then walked right across Birmingham to the Bull Ring, only putting dd in the back pack for the last few minutes, as she was absolutely knackered, and she amazingly managed a 10 min power nap in it whilst we were in Selfridges. It was obviously a rather powerful power nap, as she then didn't fall asleep at all on the 1.5hr journey home !

Hopefully she'll have the long sleep that she needs tonight.

So how is everyone else's weekend going?

When is your birthday again mrm?

I have read one chapter of a book this year .

So, if our local half term is 11th-15th Feb, have I agreed to meet any of you on any days during it? Jas - did we say we'd do PWP one day? Did we say which?

Right, better go order groceries, as dh is here next week too, and we need food!

EachPeachPearMum · 26/01/2008 22:47

Sorry, not posting much.
dd had conjunctivitis all week, and has thoughtfully shared it with me eyes are very sore and tired at the moment.

Jas- every time I see that photo of you as a tot, it makes me smile- I just LOVE it!

Flame- not sounding any better me dear! Back to drs monday? Why are you back to n'furter?

csws- yes, Nana has the same effect in our house too- DH may as well not exist when she is around (Its his mum btw). Go anywhere nice in the bullring?

mrm- whats an rdo?

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/01/2008 07:01

rdo = rostered day off - mrm has a language all of her own!

Didn't go anywhere except Selfridges EPPM, as time was getting on and dd was tired.

As you can see, she hasn't slept well at all. She didn't eat much yesterday, so I wonder if it's hunger that's woken her so early. She's had less than 10 hours sleep in the last 24 .

mrm - forgot to say - we looked but there was nothing angler fish related I'm afraid.

mustrunmore · 27/01/2008 11:29

No I dont, I just talk the talk of the employed, even though I'm not

If the sealife place had no angler fish tyhings, there's no hope is there! thanks for looking though.

Well, I failed to run last night. Opted for a bath and the new argos catalogue instead But I've just done a slow 6km. And ds2 had his first initiation into the treadmill

I'm not seeing you any of those days csws, you'resafe. I'm seeing you the next again thurs I think. Although I'm now free on the mon due to lack of Jas! Er, my birthday is.. dunno.. Wed or Thurs.

FlameNFurter · 27/01/2008 12:06

for the lack of sleep, but for all her walking. DD used to be like that (well, still is)... DS can't be trusted not to run and if he is on reins he goes "WOOHOO!!" and spins face down

I cannot comprehend a 6km slow run.

Was DS2's introduction to it planned or a comical climbing on with you running?

Your birthday is Weds if I have the date right.

My plans (again) - come on the Saturday, stay until Tuesday and then head off to play with MRM for a night so I can do the girly bonding night I've been threatening with her for ages as well as seeing you DD is very excited "Do you want to go and stay with my friend again?" "With Pippa?" "YES!!!!"

Cool thing is, with the magical non-growing child, he will still fit in your pop up dome thingy

He was anti-sleeping last night without a bottle or me. He had already had 2 9oz bottles and we were out of milk, I refuse to carry on this cycle of him having one of us with him til he falls asleep... so we had a joyous night of sobbing and very little sleep for me (DH agreed to me doing night and him doing morning though, so not too bad).

EPPM - Just like the furter one

mustrunmore · 27/01/2008 19:05

It was planned. They're not aallowed anywher near when I'm on it, far too dodgy. It was bad anought my Mum sticking her head roud and taling a photot so I got a suprise and nearly fell off

Had a great chinese buffet today... 9 of us... room to ourselves And, he made me special stuff of my own because nothing on the buffet fitted the bill

Jas ,you're forgiven, s i've now made an alternative plan for 18th Feb!!

csws, are we doing something on 21st then, the Thursday, ds2's actual birthday? I've got nothing booked. I think we're moving his birthday to the Sat, as thats when we'kll have our family tea and friends drop-in-sessions! Its the only day left to fill really, aprt from th weekend before half term, and no one ever wants toplay at tbe weekends because they all have lives

mustrunmore · 27/01/2008 19:07

BTW, we have that tues night to ourselves indoors , as dl and dh have been told they have to go out, seeing as dh was too scared to be left in with 4 kids But, if dl is here it means you're in the fronmt room, so if B&E are asleep, I'm not sure what we'll be doing or where! We have no tv upstairs!

FlameNFurter · 27/01/2008 19:10

Bah! Wuss.

FlameNFurter · 27/01/2008 19:12

I like playing at weekends... but that doesn't help you Come stay with me

Was the photo a sort of wonky face?

Chinese buffet sounds good

Kids are currently yelling in their room I miss my baby who just went into a cot with a bottle and slept.

UniS · 27/01/2008 19:49

Hi Flame & all Feb 06 bunch
Sorry for abandoning you all for a while. I realised I WAS spending too much time on MN an not enough chilling with DH. have rectified situation a bit. Now trying to sort out a hotel for my parents holiday. Dad is hopelessly bad at web serches but fine with e-mailing and sorting it all out once I've send him some URLs to look at.

Frizbe · 27/01/2008 20:02

(Waves at Uni) hello!

Flame for pains still dr's again then.
Yep I'm still randomly blogging/whittering about my life!

MRM dh has test to do on 14th Feb, he did another on 14th Jan, then if the Feb one still says live and active, he's got to make the decision to go thru it all again, as its all re sealed/connected itself..... he is currently saying he's not going through it again 'do you know how big the piece was they took out' and making fishing type gestures 'this big'

Jas I like the photos, your hair grown that much well since I last saw you anyway!

EPPM for icky sticky eyes.

Well Meridian has had my dd2 all day and dd1 this afternoon, whilst we ran a YuGiOh! hobby league at the store, which thankfully went down well on our 1st attempt at doing it, hurrah
Also just got a mail from ss's mum, as she was going to have our old cot off us for £20.00, but damn Ikea have changed their matress sizes and cot sizes as of last June, the swines so you can't recycle their old ones now....you have to buy a new one which is really crap of them I think, so much for eco friendlyness eh
