Glad you got yourself seen, Flame.
I hope this is the start of a real improvement for you

Ds has got oral thrush now from the antibiotics. We noticed white spots on his tongue this afternoon and didn't think we'd get in at docs so been to chemist to ask advice, he took one look at it and said it was thrush so he gave us some Daktarin oral gel.

Flamesparrow · 20/02/2008 20:37

DS went through a phase of pooing in the middle of the night too... he got over it eventually. Cork is the only solution I can think of

for thrush - poor little guy must be so fed up.

for my hug Dame @ 24 weeks

CSWS - I don't seem to have replied to you for ages, my brain seems to mush lots when I get to you. I have a feeling that DD is feeding oodles still - I have no advice other than to stay firm. I am going through screaming hissy fits because I am trying to stop the nipple rubbing Plus you are doing the early pregnancy completely exhausted thing, but with insomnia too. Again, sod all advice

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/02/2008 21:22

for thrush, but for having medicine for it.

flame - thanks for all the tips .

Am off to bed v soon - completely exhausted.

Hope your night out is/was good mrm.

EachPeachPearMum · 20/02/2008 21:33

Flame- so glad you saw gp instead of waiting til friday!!!! Tonsilitis is pants though, so is it any wonder you felt so rough.

csws- sorry you're so tired- is this pg tiredness kicking in?

btw I meant hello to Friz and Jas, and anyone else lurking, not that you 2 were lurking!

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/02/2008 21:38

Yes EPPM!

Flamesparrow · 20/02/2008 21:51

You love it when I help out don't you

I still can't quite work out how I haven't had a sore throat

Phoenix · 21/02/2008 12:10

Happy Birthday Bram

Happy Birthday Luca

damewashalot · 21/02/2008 12:18

OOOoh very excited, my friend who does wonderful cakes is doing ds1 a Harry Potter one as is 9 on 1st and ds3 an Each peach pear plum one for 4th she does such lovely cakes. We have been reading "Plum" as he calls it every night for about the last 6 weeks

Keep meaning to do a general happy birthday to all I've missed I just can't believe they are all turning 2, where's the time gone?

Need to feed small boy now, me too I'm starving (most of the time)

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 12:32

Happy Birthday Bram and Luca.

How did ds1 like his sausages for breakfast?

How you feeling today flame?

DontDreamItBeIt · 21/02/2008 15:01

Happy birthday Bram

Happy birthday Luca

Has everyones lo had a 2 year development check? DS has just got an appointment for his next week. I'll have to hunt his red book out.

Also, did you all get annual statements for the ctf things? DS' appears to be worth less than the £250 he originally got. I'm glad I didn't add to it now.

Friz/Astro/Uni etc..

The March 06 thread ran out of room so have started a new one here...

Sorry to invade but otherwise no-one will find it as couldn't link from the old thread....didn't know that threads terminated at 1001 posts!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 15:13

Jas - I haven't heard about dd's 2 year check, but expect they are just running behind.

Don't think I've had a recent statement for ctf, but shares (which you've obv gone for) are a long term investment, and will be expected to vary in both directions. Your valuation might just be based on a single day where the stock market was in a slump. In fact if the stock market is low at the moment, then it's a very good time to plough more money into it!

We only just remembered to top dd's up to the max allowance in time before she turned 2.

DontDreamItBeIt · 21/02/2008 15:39

I know you are right, csws, but I don't like any risk at all with investments. I'd much rather have a smaller but guaranteed return

Probably related to our endowment mortgage. The only time I've gone against my instincts withmoney, and it will end up costing us alot.

Happy Birthday Bram!!

Happy Birthday Luca!!

Feeling quite a bit better today - have started going downhill now, but not a bad day. Spent today with ChocolateTeapot and it was looooooovely - lots of setting the world to rights over cups of tea and ignoring small children

CTF - I did non share account thingy.

2 year check - I have been invited to a group check - wtf?? Can't be arsed to check them individually, so we'll just gather together all the 2 yr olds in the area and do it then. Feel a bit neglected.

I haven't cancelled my doctor's appointment tomorrow. I think I might go and see about ADs

Phoenix · 21/02/2008 20:01

Lewis has got bloody measles now Noticed spots on his belly and back today, dh took him to docs this evening, he took one look and said measles. What can my poor little man get next

Anyway the docs give him more ab's and i've just give him them and straight after the last bit went in he was sick all over I really don't want to give him anymore to make him sick again but i know i have to, its just upsetting me that i'm making him sick by giving him the ab's

Phoenix · 21/02/2008 20:03

Ds' 2 year check is 3rd March.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 20:04

Oh poor poor Lewis.
Did he not have the mmr jab Phoenix?

mustrunmore · 21/02/2008 20:18

IIRC, I had to phone at make ds1's 2 year check.. at about 2.5 years Will prob do same for ds2.

Flame, i've em,ailed you again

Er, ds1 was whinging about a spike in his throat, so I said I'd get the torch and have a look to assauge him. Looks suspiciuosly like he's got the start of tonsilitis or some such Am hoping he just has an odd looking mouth, as I cant say I've looked that closely in it before.

Phoenix · 21/02/2008 20:21

Just looked in his red book, he had 1 dose of mmr in June but not had 2nd dose yet.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 20:24

Isn't the second dose just meant to be a booster though, to make it last long term?

Frizbe · 21/02/2008 20:28

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAM
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCA

Phoenix your poor little man he did have jabs though didn't he? mind you when dd1 had her mumps booster, she pretty much got it (remember when we visted you Flame and I mentioned she'd been horrible at the van, although she was tail end when we saw you, we'd had a horrible proceeding week)

CSWS had any luck with the feeding issue? any more good ideas off anyone?
btw is that a remote floor cleaning thing you were suggesting to mrm? are they any good? (do they do 4 year olds rooms as well? )

dd2 still faffing about in her bed here

Dame 24 weeks where'd the time go! for cakes, I really must get organised and do something for dd2's birthday and not ignore it till March

Flame, yay for nice day and for proper diagnosis take it you have proper drugs to get you sorted?

Ok apologies for longest post on the thread, but here's our day yesterday!

Sooo you'll all be shocked to know that Butlins was having what appeared to be a Middle Class week (and let me tell you I was amazed ) Lots of yummy mummies their/families, in fact I think it was us bringing the tone of the place down with me shouting at dd2 after swimming, as she insisted on sitting on the wet floor in her clean clothes after I'd gotten her changed 1st, as I was thinking smallest child = coldest child, I should have bloody left her till last but bar that incident and me having to find her a spare set of trousers and dry her socks under the hair dryer we had a lovely day still £20.00 for a family of four, the kids went on all the free rides, did soft play, saw puppet show, missed fireman sam as we were swimming, but saw Bob the Builder and dd1 did house building with him (glue and stick thing, on a timer) we did arcades (grandad forking out the 2p's for the push n shove machines) oh and they also did an animal show in the morning, where the kids could handle iguanas, spiders, rabbits etc. If you're bored on a cold wet half term day I recommend it Oh the food has improved as well, with the addition of a new pancake bar, better range of sarnies/paninis etc and SOFAS (you can even get Costa Coffee if you look hard enough!)

Frizbe · 21/02/2008 20:30

Ooooh Phoenix, that's odd isn't it, 2nd dose isn't usually till 3/4 year pre school booster, so he's had it ok......they do say the boosters are to catch those who didn't get immunity from the 1st jabs, so unfortunately looks like your ds unless he has German measels, which is different again and they don't jab for that.

Phoenix · 21/02/2008 20:42

Dh said the doc just said measles but we've got a childhood illness book and we were looking in that before i went to work and we thought it was more like german measles he had.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 20:46

Oh your day sounds fab Friz. I used to love Butlins - went to the one in Barry Island every year with my grandparents .

I'm not really doing anything much about the feeding atm - it's not too bad except when we're in for a whole afternoon, like today.

Off to view nursery early tomorrow morning - goodness knows how we'll get out of the house on time!
