Been reading another thread with someone having post viral fatigue (nothing like self diagnosing ), it all sounded very similar, including that my depression/lowness is much worse since all this has been going on.

Flamesparrow · 19/02/2008 14:05

Appointment on Friday at half two

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 14:05

If you get a nice dr, ask for a general MOT. If you have blood tests they may find other things contributing to the depression and slow recovery time.

My best friend has ME (I think it is the same as post viral) and some drs still don't even agree that it exists! She has to pace herself and rest alot (not easy now she is a single parent with a f/t job).

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 14:06

Antidepressants have also helped her

I have some mental block thing about going back on the ADs I know it isn't rational, but it is still there. Starting to think they are my only option though

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/02/2008 15:10

Hi ll - thanks for popping in. I am expecting again, but have no objection to tandem feeding. I just want to reduce the frequency with which dd feeds from as constantly as I will allow, to a couple of times a day.

Glad you had a good break Jas.

for docs appointment flame. Make a list of what you want to cover before you go.

mrm - what is the plan for Thursday? Am I going to toddler group first (which would mean leaving here at 12), or do you want us earlier than that?

Am supposed to be at gym, but hadn't got my stuff together, and couldn't face rushing about to get it all, then rushing there, rushing back, rushing to tidy house, rushing to cook dinner etc, so have not gone. Am v tired, but I don't always sleep as well at night if I have a nap, so am trying to keep going for a while longer yet!

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 15:14

Not your only option, but they may help lift your mood and possibly help your energy levels, then you will have the strengh to fight whatever else is going on.

I'm exhausted reading your posts atm csws. You seem to be emitting tiredness. Hopefully it will lift once you getto the next trimester and that mythical blooming phase

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 19/02/2008 15:27

On the bright side, dd is sleeping a bit better at night this last week or two (bar the odd night), and with me going to bed early too, I am getting more sleep than I have for ages .

Frizbe · 19/02/2008 16:46

Jas I agree CSWS you exhausted me with that post too I hope LL can help with some sort of ideas, you are a bf councillor aren't you LL??? ( or is that just Uni? )

Flame I think I have your flu type thing, constant differnt things making you feel pap, but I'm dragging my sorry arse to hula tonight anyway (went bath and bed last
night instead of aerobics)

Jas, Hartlepool is a longggggg way to drive, but glad you had fun, train next time?

Phoenix, ds is still porrly, but yay for Trace2's ds coming out, did they believe her in the end?

MRM sofa?

well dd2 got up at 7am here she waited in her bed till she heard my alarm I'm sure its a 1st and last, but wow eeeeeeeee

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 17:28

The train doesn't go direct though, and then I'd be relying on lifts to get to the various Aunts houses.

ds is catching the non- sleeping thing.
He didn' sleep in the travel cot while we were away, and seems to be doing a pooh in the middle of the night every night. I don't know what I can do about that though.

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 19/02/2008 17:29

Oh crappy crappy. csws, I'm kind of quadruple booked for Thursday well, as its ds2's birthday and he'll only see his Daddy for an hour, I invited friends over for brekkie at 8am. Then we have best friend over at 3.30 (my birth partner). I was thinking that'd be ok as you'd be in the middle. But my old neighbour phoned; she's just had a hysterectomy and is having a very rough time, so I instinctively said we'd go over on Thursday (she has hosp appointments Wed nad Fri) to take her some groceries and let her see the boys etc, as she can hardly walk at the best of times, let alone when she's just had a major op. Somehow I'd forgotten you were coimng What shall I do? I'd suggest you come too, but 3 lkids and 2 adults would be a bit too much for her, plus her flat is minging!

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/02/2008 18:47

Muppet! You're fully booked the rest of the week already aren't you, or we could have done tomorrow afternoon instead?

mustrunmore · 19/02/2008 19:03

Hang on, let me thinkn. I'm out till about 1.30pm tomorrow, then going out at night. The afternoon is free! I do need to buy some croissants and a bottle of coke though (bday brekkie, and coke for neighobur)

mustrunmore · 19/02/2008 19:43

Dh stinks. A 'burning wood' smellpot exploded all over one foot; shoe is outside, but the reast of him pongs of it even though it didnt touch him anywhere else. Luckily I like htat smell! But the shoe will need to be washed somehow, so will prob fall apart. And if not, the smell will prob stay anywhere. Those smellpots are lethal.

Got a sofa! Dh and friend collecting it tonight! £35 but it now, only 7 months old; sounds a bit too good to be true. But then I figured its cash on collection, so if its not what it says it is, we can walk away and argue the toss later!

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/02/2008 20:10

Right, we'll come tomorrow then for a couple of hours or so. Will leave just after lunch, so should be with you shortly after you get home at 1:30.

mustrunmore · 19/02/2008 20:41

Excellent

EachPeachPearMum · 19/02/2008 21:53

Hi all, very tired here im afraid.
Flame- you sound v poorly, and sinusitis is one of the worst pains you can be in, so I hope you get all sorted, though can't believe you have to wait until friday

mrm- yay for sofa! Though, cannot believe how you can live in London, and have 2 sofas, a cross trainer, and a treadmill in your living room???? It would be nice if I could just fit in my living room, and we don't have any gym equipment!

Phoenix- what was the verdict on trace2's ds? Hope your ds is back to normal now.

Friz, Jas, anyone else lurking, hope you're okay too...

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 22:01

Lurking?
Me?
Never!

OP posts:
Frizbe · 19/02/2008 22:31

Sorry to hear you're feeling pants EPPM, hope you're better after a good nights sleep. I've done hula and pilates and feel human??? how odd

Hmmm yep Jas, I can see the problem there. If I'd have realised you were passing on the M1 I'd have invited you round for a cuppa on your way did you enjoy our roadworks upto J28? along with CSWS's set, I bet it made the journey hell

RE middle of night pooing, not a lot you can do is there, bar pray he re sets himself soon, dd2 must have been teething a bit over weekend, as we had three poos in a row, sat and sun am, she's been fine since then???

MRM for sofa, 'taps fingers impatiently wanting to see a photo'
EEeeekkk re the smell pot, dh smells like that when he comes back from York events, as they have a fire in the longhouse usually, and it stinks!

Well the girls and I are off to Butlins for the day with the Grandparents tomorrow, so if I don't make it on here, you know why! Chav's ahoy!

mustrunmore · 19/02/2008 22:44

ooo, Butlins! A step up from us and Pontins last year

sofa is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pics soon.Deciding on exact positioning. No xtrainer yet, may be 6 inches too long

DontDreamItBeIt · 20/02/2008 08:14

Where does that put us and our Haven holidays then?

(M1 was better than A1 which is our usual route. Dad got stuck coming home and took hours)

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 20/02/2008 08:43

dunno. haven looks quite good on the tv ad!

csws, I've hoovered, but thats about all you'll get, as we're off out soon

Anyone got a very small square coffee table they want to swop for a rectangular one?!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/02/2008 09:14

Gosh, hoovering is impressive - there was no need to do that on our account you know! I could bring the scooba to do your kitchen floor whilst I'm there .

Flamesparrow · 20/02/2008 09:32

will read back in a bit, just updating - went to emergency clinic this morning.. turns out I have tonsillitis and have done for about a week (I have had no throat pain ), body fighting that plus general gunk is what has made me feel rough

damewashalot · 20/02/2008 10:00

Hello, still around and now 24wks

There's always so much to read that I can't remember anything mind you I have total mush for brains atm.

Phoenix how's ds? sounded scarey, poor little chap

Everytime I read this thread I feel that Flame needs a really big hug, glad you went to dr this morning instead of waiting until friday. Lets hope you start to feel better soon.
