Very confusing flame. Let us know when you do.

Friz - what have I been up to today? Not a lot. Lie in (with dd intermittently feeding and watching tv in my room), then in-laws came to visit, so I cooked lunch for everyone, and cleared up whilst dh assembled dd's climbing frame (which we switched the trampoline that my parents got at Christmas for). Then I mostly sat and fed dd for about 4 hours, whilst attempting to read my book. Then we had tea which dd refused to eat, so she had a few spoonfuls of porridge instead, then fed some more, then bathtime, then we read her the same story about 20 times before she went to bed and screamed for a while. Nowt interesting then, no .

Just finished my book though.

mustrunmore · 17/02/2008 09:10

Ah, did you choose my climbimng frame choice??

She prob didnt eat her tea because you get her guzzle all day

We're off to Beconscot today, in the frost and the freeze [hm]

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/02/2008 09:18

We're going to the farm in the cold too - mad .

She's so stroppy if I don't let her guzzle - need to do something about it, but don't know what. Think her tea refusal might be more about the tomato sauce on it - she prefers her pasta completely plain, but I prefer to get some veg into her.

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2008 09:40

Enjoy your cold outings. I'm going to Psycho's for the morning, then curling up with lemsip.

I don't have a guzzling child, but I do have one who thinks his hand should be down my bra, loving my nipple all the time is fun. He is starting to get very aggressive about being stopped

mustrunmore · 17/02/2008 09:43

I found out that if I use spinach pasta, ds1 doesnt notice that there's sauce on it so much!

If you want to stop her guzzling, you'll just have to stay firm and put up with the tantrums. Trust me, I know about tantrums!! Its a PITA, but its like that for everything until kids are about 20. Thats my advice anyway.

Didnt hear from the freecycle sofa, but put an ad on and got a response, but its too long Friend's dh wants shot of theirs, but she doesnt, and its also too long
Got 3 on ebay that have potential though; measuring boot of car onw.

Would you go for:

very cheap... 99p... old but servicable and no mattter if it got wrecked by kids

perfect size... no bids yet but 8 days to go, will prob fit in car

Bit bigger but still fits, very expensive by our standards, 8 days no bids, really beautiful

mustrunmore · 17/02/2008 09:44

Flame, does he get that from dh then?

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2008 09:53

Beautiful - does that mean beautiful now but less so 6 months after mini mrms get to it?

mustrunmore · 17/02/2008 10:01

Yep. But leather, so most sins wipable.Just no kids on there with scissors etc!

Think I'm favouring middle option.

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/02/2008 10:13

Prob middle, but we need links!

mustrunmore · 17/02/2008 10:23

Just seen another one I like, on BIN, but have emailed as they've done no sizes

Will do links later!

Frizbe · 17/02/2008 20:12

MRM so far I'm going middle too

CSWS I think you're going to have to brave the tantrums I wonder if LL on the march thread would have any good advice for you, as she's still feeding her dd2 as well? and fed her dd1 up till dd2 was born (will have same age difference I think) would you like me to ask her?

Hope you had a good day out anyway

Flame, confusing then why don't they make these things clearer?

I met up with the northern girls from the march thread today, LL and her two girls, and Astro and her dd and ds, plus Meridian and her ds, we invaded a lovely gallery cafe in Bakewell for a late lunch, with both my dd2 and ll's dd2 deciding to eat our brocolli and stilton soups for us (and if we'd have brought it them, you can bet they'd not have touched it [hmm) then we all tootled to the park via various pudding shops and deli's gorgeous day, if a bit nippy

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2008 21:15

Random question time - anyone got a personal paypal account I could use?

I have the money I need in 3 seperate accounts, but the person I am buying from wants me to pay fees, which will be much higher from 3 accounts, but if I transfer it all to my one account, then I will be charged fees too. So, am thinknig if I transfer it to one of you who doesn;t get charged fees, then you pay for me (does that make sense?)

Still high on pills Went really weird at Psycho's today and they had to get DH to come take me home.

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/02/2008 21:48

If her dd was totally obsessed like mine Friz, then yes please. Most children of this age seem to be quite civilised about it and just having it a couple of times a day.

I'm not sure I understand the paypal thing flame. I have a paypal account which is linked to my credit card. Is that what you need? Otherwise I think mrm has one linked to a bank account (ie no cc fees), and she would do anything for you!

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2008 22:48

lmao @ MRM doing anything for me - what I mean is that I need someone who has a personal account, rather than premier or business (you get charged fees on those two, but you can send/receive larger amounts of money)

EachPeachPearMum · 17/02/2008 23:26

Hi,
sorry, am here, just had a v busy weekend.
Bf is ok with it all it seems- his partner has been working abroad for past 12 months, and I think they decided that breaking up was for the best they both feel they've changed a lot in 10 years, and now have differing aspirations

I think its strongly linked to the fact that he wants children and she doesn't...

He is bearing up well, though was quite teary friday, much better saturday and today.

Flame please pass the book on to anyone who would enjoy.

mustrunmore · 18/02/2008 09:35

I'd do most things for her

I'll do it if you like. But, the pc keeps dying, so I'd need to sort it all out in one go incase I cant get back online! And is it a huge amount of money? Only that the payapl is in dh's account, and the slightest thing will make him overdrawn. Oh, and whenever I use payapl these days it seems to go as an echeque that takes ages to clear.. never used to.. dont know why it changed... we changed nothing... does this make a difference?

Frizbe · 18/02/2008 09:44

EPPM well that's good news that he's feeling a bit better about it all, sad when people drift apart I know a nice single female Dr mid 30's if he's ever looking for a date though Birmingham based! not that I'm trying to fix my friend up or anything of the like saunters off quietly.....

Flame for your funny turn, hope you're ok today?

CSWS I'll ask her.

Full of cold here (sob) but at least I'm on a half day today at work and again tomorrow, dh and I have decided we deserve a day off each a week to ourselves, seeing as we can't manage one together, this is a day without kids, to keep our sanity! so I'm having two half days this week, as dh on the school run up north at the mo, and he's having Friday to himself

ellenrose · 18/02/2008 14:45

Here so infrequently now but wanted to pass on best 2nd birthday wishes to all those I have missed and those yet to come. Hoping everyone is well . . . take care and hugs to all

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/02/2008 20:15

Good to see you ellenrose.

So is the paypal thing sorted with mrm now then, or do you want me to do it? email me if you want me to.

Had a lovely day with hunker and the boys, but am v tired now. dh going away early tomorrow, so we'll be on our own again for a few days. How I'll find the energy for the gym instead of a sleep tomorrow I don't know, as we're at soft play in the morning (toddler group doesn't have the hall for a couple of weeks, so we are meeting up in different places each week).

Flamesparrow · 18/02/2008 21:07

As long as you don't get charged for receiving funded payments MRm then it would be fine and you would be a star - I can transfer all of the money in, and then give you a paypal address to transfer it out to. E cheque doesn't bother me, I can wait a week or so for the stuff.

I'm really sorry about tomorrow - I had the bright idea that I was just assuming that I was ill now, so decided to do stuff today. Turns out that it isn't all my imagination I reeeeeeeeeeeeally want to get it sorted though.

Hiya ER

EPPM - glad your friend is doing ok. I will pass the book to my mum I think.

Frizbe for cold - hope it is a short lived one.

for good but tiring day with Hunker - did the boys wear stripes??

I called the doctor people about the appointment - it IS the AS referral, they haven't any other appointments for ages, so I am keeping that one, and in some ways it will be good because they will see her face about being taken out of school!!

Phoenix · 19/02/2008 08:49

Happy Birthday Chloe if you're about

Hi EllenRose

for cold Friz

for nice day with Hunker, csws

for illness not in your imagination Flame

Hope everyone's ok

Ds is still not 100%. He had a chesty cough when he came out of hospital and is now snotty and not really eating much again. He kept waking up in the night crying but by the time i got up to him he was asleep again so don't really know why he was crying. I bought him an ikea duvet and pillow last week (mainly cos he had a pillow in hospital and loved it) and he's sleeping really well with them.

Trace2's ds came out of hospital yesterday.

laundrylover · 19/02/2008 11:12

Happy Birthday Feb babies - our March 'babies' are right behind you!!!

CSWS Friz asked me to drop by with weaning advice but sorry to say that I don't have any. I only fed DD1 up to 8 months and am still bfing DD2 morning and night. Are you expecting again or do you just want to quit bfing?

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 12:11

hi.

Flame.....what has the dr said? It seems o be lasting a long time.

Bugger.

I forgot to flip before posting and now I can't remember anythin else except hello EllenRose.

We had a nic break in Hartlepool, and I thought of you Northern lot as I drove up the M1
It is way too far to drive thouh, and even though dp did all the actual driving, it was still too long.
DS slept in our bed both nights, so my back is aching again today, but it was good to catch up with the family.

Flamesparrow · 19/02/2008 13:28

I haven't seen the dr, it didn't seem worth it for a cold. The world is spinning now though, so maybe i should get checked out?

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 13:57

Maybe???

Yes of course you should. Make sure s/he knows it has been going on for more than a few days, and write down all the symptoms you've had.
It could just be a run of tummy upset/tiredness/colds with no healthy break inbeween, but I guess they could all be connected.
