Euuuww that doesn's sound too pleasant MRM, hope you start feeling better soon.

I'm not sure re the dates and abortion as she doesn't get her scan til Monday, it all seems like an extremely drawn out process for something that should really be done ASAP

Boiler is fixed!!! Woohoo

I have had terrible period pains today - still no period yet , def not pg again as haven't 'done the deed' since the miscarriage but the pains are much worse than normal - they have nearly made me throw up a few times. They did start after I did a 5km run though, not sure if maybe I am overdoing the gym a little and it is affecting my menstrual cycle what with everything that has gone on too. Not that Im obsessive or really really pushing it but I think I have thrown myself in head first to take my mind off other things. Oh I don't know, maybe I'm just rambling

mustrunmore · 07/02/2008 19:27

Chloe, dl delightd in telling me that my tummy ache was due to overrunning, jiggling my insides, and how runners get alot of blood loss so I should expect that soon

I would say go for it, throw yourself into running....you'll stop if you really overdo it, yes it will take your mind off other stuff which is good, and runnnig is good for you!

No chance of arobics toinght, given that it started 7pm and my friend only picked her sonm up a t 7.05pm Really wish I hadnt fallen asleep and missed Tuesday's class, as now I'll hve only done one this week (none on a friday)

Phoenix · 07/02/2008 19:31

for heating Chloe. for pains.

for pains too mrm.

We love Chester Zoo too. We didn't really go for ds' birthday it was us who wanted to go

Dh has been to his mums today to pick ds' birthday cards up (its too much trouble for them to drive the 20 mins to our house ) He went while i was at the docs so i didn't have to go. Yet again she has told dh 'we'll get ds something for his birthday later we're a bit skint at the mo.' We're still waiting for his 1st birthday pressie, along with many other presents for ds, dh and me

mustrunmore · 07/02/2008 19:31

Oh, and I've only ever thrown up after running once (and once aftr weight traininig), when I was really really pushing it too much... 9km in 45 mins, but I had to stop just short, at 44 mins 40 or something!

Frizbe · 07/02/2008 20:28

Phoenix at mil...crap woman......

Happy Birthday to Pippa for tomorrow, just in case I don't get on here (bet ya I do though! as dh away for weekend)

Flame, have mail'd ya as need your address again, have summat 4ya.

Jas, bed sounds lovely hope your doing good today?

EPPM I used to have name tape bother, even though there were quite a lot of kids given myame in the 70's and most people in the world have my 2nd name I think there was a mumsnet survey on it once, lol.

Chloe, my boiler was listening to us type! friggin thing packed up again last night, I spent 10 mins wiggling the bit the plumber had showed me, before it re booted again, with dh in tow, going 'so its really broken this time' till it fixed itself, phew for now...... for your pains, are you sure everything was cleaned out after your misscarriage? might be good to go dr's/hosp ital to gt em to check {{{{hugs}}}}

MRM, do a test to be on safe side hon.....mind you your not the only one with weird side effects of late, Astro on the March thread is having weird goings on too?

Have found a friggin NIT on dd1 tonight have txt'd all the mums I know at nursery to advise someone must have them, plus everyone else we've been into contact with, plus ss's mum in case he was the offender again, sigh.... have gotten rid of the offending item from dd1 in a nice bowl of boiling water, heheheheh and doused both girls in hedrin to be safe. He de nitted myself and so far none, will get dh to check when he gets in shortly though, and I'll do him too, sigh......he's getting chinese though HAPPY Chinese NEW YEAR to you all, year of the Rat for the new babies I see

Frizbe · 07/02/2008 20:30

Oh! nearly forgot, dd2 just got her 1st proper party invite, from someone at nursery at a play centre, for a 2 year old Had to text the mum and ask the age of the child, as I don't know her??? has anyone else had this happen???

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/02/2008 20:56

Too tired to focus on any messages - sorry.

Just vegging out with some TV before early bed. I keep waking up too early - 5:30 today .

Can I do a collective for all good news and for all bad.

Chloe55 · 07/02/2008 21:07

Ok CSWS we'll let you

Friz - at NITS!! I await that pleasure with sheer delight - I always had nits as a kid

I think I must have expelled everything at the miscarriage - did go to the doc shortly after and she assured me that as it was early and I had no smelly discharge etc then it was probably a clean miscarriage. My insides are probably still a bit of a mess and possibly tender I'm sure and it may take some time to get over I guess.

Pg - at your in-laws, tight bastards!! That would really upset me. I bet your dh must be pretty embarrassed by them considering how much your parents involve themselves with Lewis.

DontDreamItBeIt · 07/02/2008 21:21

Evening

I've not been aroundmuch lately, too much rl

I'm worried about dd2, but might start a new thread, and see if I can get any advice.

Other than thatds continues o bulldoze everything in his sight, and dd1 is loving the bedroom. I will try and get some pics. DP is working (Not right now, but had a day today which has paid for the advertising, a job at the weekend, and two more days next week all confirmed with a few more bits in the pipeline)[huge sigh of relief face]

Phoenix - mil has promised things and not come up with the goods onlots of occasions too, but I try very hard not to leet it get to me. (She said at christmas that she will buy the dds a wii for their birthdays and I know she won't even manage a card. Luckily she said it to me, not them.

for boilers and pains all round....are you sure you don't need to test mrm?
[bluh] sorry for missing lots of birthdays. Hope Pippa has a good one tomorrow.

DD2, if anyone can help?

OP posts:
Frizbe · 07/02/2008 22:35

have attempted to!

Flamesparrow · 07/02/2008 23:04

Will read in a min (or the morning) - anyone with mumps info??

Most likely me worrying over nothing, but am a tad concerned anyway! He's fallen asleep again so don't want to turn on light if I can avoid it

EachPeachPearMum · 08/02/2008 00:35

Wow Friz- you're up late!

Jas- sorry, don't know how to help.... maybe the book I linked to before?

Mrm- for pains.

Flame- did your pains sort themselves out in the end?

csws- groan for early waking. pg ladies need their sleep! How did parents like the news?

Phoenix- there is a v funny in laws thread around somewhere by 'LoginFailed' ... made me laugh lots. Was actually reading at work at lunchtime, and kept having to shove my fist in my mouth to prevent outbursts of snorting laughter Here...

Chloe- Yay for boiler.

EachPeachPearMum · 08/02/2008 00:36

And Happy Birthday Pippa!

mustrunmore · 08/02/2008 08:12

Oo, is it pippa today? Have a lovely today Did you tell your parents csws?

Lol at you two and testing..
'we seem to have spent more this week darling'
'oh, yes, I just had to buy a pg test for a tenner'
'but I've had the all clear from the hospital'
'er, yes, so you have...'

I can assure you, I'm DEF not pregnant! Although that now just leaves the terminal illnwss option Actually, I feel a bit better this morninig.Had quite a good kip last night(missed areobics, so was going to wrap valentines and bday pressies, but went for a lie down and a think, and that was that)

Ds1 legged it out of his room while dh was putting him to bed. Tripped in our room, smashed his face into the bed frame, big split lip and tons of blood. waiting to see what he looks like today! Stil in bed, alhtough stirring.

Jas, I have no idea what to say about dd2, sorry. The only experience I have of girls is of myself, and I was always a very solitary childe. Didnt do cuddles with parents by that age, kept myself to myslef in my bedroom reading and things. I had alot of self created worries and dramas ,b ut kept those to myself too!

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/02/2008 08:20

Just a quickie - busy day!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for dd.

Yes, we told my parents. They were shocked (though why I'm not sure ) but very pleased.

Funnily enough ( given their selective memory where he's concerned) they had forgotten that db told a room full of people last time when I had expressly said that I didn't want people to know, but they are under strict instructions not to tell him this time.

mustrunmore · 08/02/2008 08:28

csws, you posted on your new ante natal thread this morning before coming to us how fickle you are, abandoning us just because you've got an exciting new baby coming!

Phoenix · 08/02/2008 08:46

Happy Birthday Pippa

Chloe55 · 08/02/2008 09:38

Happy birthday Pippa! So what are your plans for the day then CSWS?

Jas - no advice from here I'm afraid as I know absolutely zilch about 7yr old girls but I hope it is just a phase and she grows out of it soon.

at your hypothetical (sp?) scenario MRM

Flamesparrow · 08/02/2008 10:46

Happy Birthday Pippa!

Yup, my pains just sort of wandered off in the end - no momentous poo or anything though

DS is miserable - I spent the night in his bed, I have a streaming cold and feel like hell, and we get to spend the next 2 1/2 days cleaning Wonder if I can convince DH that I am best off with 1hr sleep before starting this afternoon?

Frizbe · 08/02/2008 12:02

Boo for cleaning Flame

EPPM you were up late too I had a bit of wine and got whittery regretting it as had to get up early to get both girls bathed this am, as needed to wash the Hedrin of their hair, dd1 was not happy as not fully awake, sigh......nursery weren't happy about having to put up the nit sign again either....but I did say they could check her themselves, she's clear now (done again this am) was just the one, and I shall be re hedrin'ing again next week to catch any hatchers (even though I can't see any eggs, taking no chances) Some poor tot in there has the blighters!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIPPA

Lol at you MRM, hope dh hasn't re knitted for your sake

meridian · 08/02/2008 17:04

slight thread crash---

I'm at Frizbe's shop covering for her as her DD1 has fallen at preschool and possibly broken her arm. they are on the way to hospital as I type... I'm sure she will tell you all about it later but I jsut though I would crash and post as you are her friends.

Phoenix · 08/02/2008 17:06

and Friz hope she's ok. Thanks for letting us know Meridian

meridian · 08/02/2008 17:10

you are welcome phoenix...

she took DD1 to the local hospital but the x-ray was inconclusive (read they are useless) so they are off to the city hospital for more x-rays and a proper doctor...
