Were we squabbling? How exciting! I know you dont need to be told, but if you want to get inot profit next yr or the year aftr, you need to think hard about how to drive the business forward, else it'll just be static. And you need something the equivalent of that radio ad again (I assume its stopped onw??), else that'll actually be less exposure. Sorry if thatsounds patronising, but you kept creeping into my head when I was running.

I cant promise you abs, but I can promise you some nice achy muscles and a lovely release of endorphins.

And you, csws, are responsible for a very weird dream, from which I awoke with very sore nipples I was nearly crying, and dh just said 'on my Gad, its not hurting in a lactating kind of way is it?'

So, no sleep here due to ds2.

Frizbe · 04/02/2008 09:47

Flame can you afford an advert in something like mother and baby? or maybe a stand at a baby show?? (may be better to leave that one till ds is at pre school thinking about it) I think you've done great to break even in the 1st year, well done, give yourself a huge pat on the back (Speaks the woman swimming in debt!)
Sorry you had a pants night with dd if it helps, dh got up at 5, put dd2 back to bed at 5.30, the friggin ss woke everyone up banging the stair gate very loudly at 6am.....

CSWS ouch for your boobs.

Chloe very well done on the potty training LL on the march thread has her dd trained too

MRM you make me

Hi JuA! glad the twins have stopped hitting and biting

EPPM Happy Birthday to Astrid

mustrunmore · 04/02/2008 10:28

Why, particularly?!

damewashalot · 04/02/2008 10:33

Hello!

Read earlier but recall nothing as ever

I'm getting fat yes I realise I'm pg but alot of people don't know, everyone I tell is shocked so everyone else must just think I'm getting fat as nobody has guessed yet small bump, huge bum, huge boobs and now my face is getting fat I'm 5'10" an a size 12 so generally look very slim.

People keep saying must be a girl but I don't want to get that idea fixed in my head.

I did stick my nose into AN thread but think may stick to boring you lot

How are the hurty tums?

Oh yes, I remember now!!! lots of sympathy at sore boobs, the thought of bfeeding with pg boobs makes my toes curl

FlameNFurter · 04/02/2008 19:51

pmsl @ promising me nice achey muscles and a release of endorphins... I can think of other, probably more enjoyable activities that give me that, and still no soddin abs

You appeared to be half squabbling I think protective could be a better word

I have half plans in mind for the next 12 months, spending the next couple of weeks working out in more detail etc. I have a date with Chocolateteapot on 14th which always gives me new ideas and spurs me on - she is 12 months ahead of me. Hoping to get an ad in Green Parent mag in the next couple of months. I need to get leaflets printed off too - I don't know what is a good price though! The council say to send them a load of leaflets and they will give them out with their waste reduction information (I had to lol @ the idea of leaflets reducing waste ). They are doing a green thingy for real nappy week too - all local green businesses with stalls etc. I think that they have gotten sick of me whinging about their preference for the Lollipop woman (there is a limit to how many times they can get emails from me emphasising how I am independent without the support of a big network etc before they give in ).

Happy Birthday Astrid.

for similar bad nights.

DD has been fine today, both ate everything in sight for tea. They could be sobbing up there, but I have the ipod on and don't care

I wanna get back to potty training again. He has stopped telling me now I shelled out on pull ups

@ the shock of getting fat Dame!

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/02/2008 20:53

Happy birthday Astrid .

Am knackered. Crappy night (as usual lately), but did snooze with dd asleep on my lap this afternoon.

Still thinking of going to bed at 10.

Can't remember what I've read, sorry.

Frizbe · 04/02/2008 21:07

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/2724/471655?rnd=1202159067964 grumble.

Flame, check out printing.com, they do good offers, wait till an offer is on that you want and get leaflets off them, they're really good quality, loads of people I know use them You can get cheaper sometimes, but they don't look half as good or sell as much as a quality leaflet so catch a sale!

DontDreamItBeIt · 04/02/2008 21:08

All I can remember about early pregnancy is feeling exhausted all the time, and falling sleep in the middle of the day alot. Just when people often don't know and don't make allowances.

Go to bed as soon as dd is asleep csws.

Plans sound good, Flame Did you know you can get a free online Yell.com listing? Probably won't bring in much business, but worth it if it is free, surely?

Happy birthday Astrid

DD1s new bed is coming tomorrow I'm all excited! (How easily am I to impress these days?)
DP has worked hard to get the other bits ready.

Frizbe - I tried to post but everything I can think of to say souds really aggresive My general point of view is it is a public road, tell him to bugger off!
Our street has no parking, and our car is wider than our house, as is dps other car, next doors two cars, and their neighbours two cars People have been stabbed in parking rows here

OP posts:
Frizbe · 04/02/2008 21:18

at stabbings Jas, kinda taking the moral high ground at the moment, but might just ask the next skip driver to reverse onto his front, when he's at work, to totally knack his cobbles The guy is being a nob IMO, but I think I'm above all that, or certainly trying to be (although bad Frizbe keeps muttering other things to me) off to keep dh company for a bit, so don't be upset if I don't reply straight away.

EachPeachPearMum · 04/02/2008 22:51

Hi all!
Too much to take in
dd had a lovely day weekend!
We visited a school on saturday, Sea Life centre Sunday, birthday presents today- she was so excited and happy. It was lovely, but I am shattered.
Can't believe she's 2!
I think the high point was her seeing her cake- eyes like saucers! She whispered 'chocolate!' in hushed tones... perhaps I am too strict on the sugar intake?

FlameNFurter · 05/02/2008 08:07

DS does the same with eggs EPPM My friend showed them to him for scrambled eggs and he said "Wow!"

Poorly boy He has this really weird coughing cry thing going on. He seems happy enough, then it suddenly starts again. Will take him to the doctor later if it carries on during the morning. But, it meant another night of sod all sleep.

JuA · 05/02/2008 09:00

Poorly DT2 She is laying on the sofa feeling sorry for herself - don't really know what is wrong with her - she is very lethargic so probably the start of a cold. She has eaten about 3 cheerios! Although she did manage to chase her sister to reclaim her doll so can't be that bad.

mustrunmore · 05/02/2008 09:03

ds2's been coughinf for an eternity now, but it only seems bad at night. He did have 3 accidents including bloodshed yesterday though

Dl has decided he prefers sleeping in the front room because he's so scared of waking the kids or them seeing him and panicking in the night, and he cant work the starigate Which is fine, except I now have totake his beddding upstaris every moe=rninig, and we have suit bags hanging all over the front room too!

And he as cheeky about my shopping list for him to get last night. Whats wrong with mini latkes, marigold bouillion, bread, bananas, and trufree potato pots? Apparently I purposely sent him down every aisle in the shop

Urgghh, yes, Jas, morning sickness. Although IIRC, I didnt get it until 12 weeks with ds1! Was more textbook with ds2 I think.

Ds1 loved aerobics last night, and adored walking home in the dark and getting milk from the shop even though it was night time n
Friz, macca, anyone.... advice please of the king of all blisters? Am soo strapped up but can still feel it, and its all surrounded by inflamed skin like a bruise. I'm guessing my feet have shrunk a bit, so the trainees dont fit so well now. But I cant get the blisters to heal.

EachPeachPearMum · 05/02/2008 10:50

Flame- is ds allergic? Or does he just really like eggs?

Sorry for all poorly babies toddlers.
dd is full of a cold, and keeps waking randomly in the night, spouting garbage - 'Yes Mummy, my hair is all gone now'... 'Doll gone downstairs now' (erm, no, she's tucked under your arm darling!)

Had no morning sickness, truly, but was unbelievably tired, almost from day one!

Not that that ever went away.....

FlameNFurter · 05/02/2008 11:18

I have no idea EPPM He just got very excited and awed by them

Ouch for blisters.

Can't DL put his own bedding and suits in his room???

2boysmacca · 05/02/2008 11:40

hi guys.

I've just taken delivery of lots of PT toys, including a BOSU ball and gymstick. I will try them out on my guinea pigs later this week. I'm like a child at Christmas

Nothing much going on here, same old same old. Lots of exercise, lots of studying and lots of screaming at the kids. Ds is at school today and ds2 is fast asleep in bed. I've just done a few hours of study and thought I'd come upstairs and check out what's new.

csws - I do not envy you at all. I hated being pregnant and the tiredness was just something else, particularly with an 18 month old who refused to have daytime naps! Dame, how's things with you?

Mrm. Only advice I can give is take the shoes off and let it heal completely before you attempt to run in them. Lavender oil on blisters is good as are those blister plasters (they are very expensive but very good).

Jas, have the beds arrived?

Friz, I'd let my dog poop on his drive (if I had one!)

Going to make the most of the last few minutes of peace and quiet.....

Frizbe · 05/02/2008 12:54

Ohh yes Jas have they?

MRM I agree with Macca, shoes off till it heals for you. not exactly flip flop weather is it? did ds1 go to aerobics with you then We got tortured last night, think someone must have upset her! am booked in for hula tonight followed by pilates

EPPM for lovely birthday
JuA and Flame for poorly twin and ds.

dd2 decided here last night that everything she has, she wants in orange orange plate mummy, orange cup mummy.... well at least they're not scrapping over pink eh!

Just finished the accounts as far as I can get, as have left paypal invoices in shop, so have to wander up there to get them now, sigh.

DontDreamItBeIt · 05/02/2008 13:20

ot yet
They just rang and said 1/2 hour.....

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 05/02/2008 14:06

Yeah, he loves coming with me. Brings his tea, and eats that between exercises! Then we run home together. He really likes doing anything with handweights.

Er, no Flame, DL cant put his own stuff in his room, as thats the whole point of him prefering to sleep down here. If he went up to put his stuff in, he might aswell stay up there! And he never knows what he needs to take for the next day until that morning, for some reason.

Macca, those blister plasters cost about the same as our mortgage But they are good. I only use them when I've got one free in a run goody bag I know I need to lay off the feet, but I cant. Aerobics wasnt too bad on them actually. They only get sore over and above 5km running, and aerobics is less repetitive on the feet than that IYKWIM. I'm compromising my bare feet until the very last minute that I need footwear on I think I'll try on my old trainers too, to see if my feet have somehow shrunk back to their 2002 size! And will do aerobics again tonight rather than running.

Feeling soooo sick today. I think I might have a killer bug from somewhere, with no other symptoms

SoupDragon · 05/02/2008 14:24

[wail]

FlameNFurter · 05/02/2008 14:48

Oooooooooooh, does he leave before they wake? That makes more sense

Frizbe · 05/02/2008 15:50

well that's the damn accounts done for last month, sigh, I so hate the bleeding accounts....oh damn still gotta print off a paypal statement..... nearly done then!

Jas, hope the bed is going up ok?

Have you seen the news about the poor two year old in cyprus really hoping she's ok.

Frizbe · 05/02/2008 15:51

Oh MRM maybe your having CSWS's sickness for her?

Chloe55 · 05/02/2008 17:21

I have no heating or hot water until tomorrow at best - my boiler is fooked and the guy who came out today (for the fourth time in as many weeks) has shut it off until he can get his supervisor to look at it which will hopefully be tomorrow, and that's providing it gets fixed! It's bloody freeeeeeezing!! Thank God mum bought ds a proper quilt the other day as I reckon fleece suits and a blanket won't cut the mustard tonight.

Friend and bro have decided to terminate the baby, it's but definitely for the best I reckon. I just hope my brother can deal with it ok, he seems to be going through depression at the moment as it is but is in denial - I worry about him a lot. They won't get a scan (to see how far gone she is) until Monday and then they could be looking at up to 2 weeks after that for the abortion appointment - seems such a long time, I can't begin to imagine what they must be going through. Friend also hopes she's strong enough to swallow the pill when the time comes....and so do I
