CSWS I had somthing similar with dd1 when she was 2.5, I had her wrist when she tried to pull away from me, whilst refusing to clean her teeth and we ended up at hospital, as thought she'd dislocated her elbow from the noise emmiting from her. (her cousin did his, when his mum pulled him back out of his attempt to jump into traffic aged 3) Apparently its quite common at this age for joints that are pulled to get sore, so sure that's just what it was what with them starting to weigh more and still being stretchy.

MRM you feeling poorly then?

Phoenix, Chloe, agree with the others, you're doing the right things re food, just keep shovelling it in front of them, they eat it when they're hungry my friends dd lived on Fish fingers for 3 years till she was 5, then she started eating normally again She's 10 on Saturday

Which reminds me CSWS/EPPM/Phoenix dh hates the texture of cooked mushrooms as well, but will happily eat a raw one

Flame you ok hon, has prison break cured you?

Jas, still painting?

Dame, is the bay still leaking???

Agree weird weather, we've had pouring rain and lots of hail today very windy too, dh bailed out of heading to London due to it, thankfully as its been a rotten day.
Did you hear about the woman whose child, complete with pushchair ended up blown into the pond in Birmingham luckily her mum managed to get her child out in time, phew.

Frizbe · 31/01/2008 21:59

oooh see you've both managed to pop in with dislocation stories too Sure she's ok CSWS {{{hugs}}} don't want those pregnancy hormones setting you off now.

FlameNFurter · 31/01/2008 22:02

Prison break always cures me

The second season is better men-wise. Lincoln is more appealing on the outside all tanned n stuff

Frizbe · 31/01/2008 22:04
Grin
Phoenix · 31/01/2008 22:04

Friz - I tried ds with a raw mushroom today, he was having none of it I can't stand them full stop, cooked, raw whatever ewwwww.

I've just been up to ds' room to check on him. God knows how he is asleep in there. With it been the attic the wind is so loud, no wonder he was up at 6am crying this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep.

Phoenix · 31/01/2008 22:06

I carry ds up the stairs by his wrists quite often, I didn't know about the dislocation thing.

damewashalot · 31/01/2008 22:20

My lovely F in L came and sorted my leak, or at least patched it for now we hope, waiting for the nasty weather to come back, is very windy but not raining/hailing/sleeting or whatever it was earlier yet. But hope will be ok.

Ds3 has streaming cold and sticky eye will see what it's like in morning and might have to go to dr as it's friday don't want to leave it over weekend. can you catch conjunctivitis(sp) over the web?

night all, flame will try and fully form bed ideas and post tomorrow.

DH flies back tomorrow night and should be here lunchtime ish saturday I know we women are supposed to grumble about our men but I do adore mine and have missed him loads.

EachPeachPearMum · 31/01/2008 22:21

Dame- prob can I reckon! well mrm caught flame's poorly tummy!

Frizbe · 31/01/2008 22:25

Phoenix well at least he tried it! dd2 surprised me last week by asking for a raw red pepper and eating it, she's been wolfing them down ever since, nursery said she ate raw cherry tomato today too how odd? dd1 won't touch a tomato unless its in ketchup form and that's not really a tom is it!!

Dame, you can get some conjunctivitus stuff over the counter at Boots now, I got some last week, when dd2's eye went weapy, its part of the trying not to bother doctors with minor stuff thing. (see you must have caught her's over the web!)

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/01/2008 22:25

I don't think it's dislocated (though did wonder for a while) as she cheered up after feed in bath, and was fine for hair drying and putting to bed.

I don't pick her up by her wrists, and suspect that dh won't again.

I've never seen Prison Break, but you've made me want to put Lincoln on our names list, but dh has vetoed (along with just about every name I've suggested so far ).

Phoenix · 31/01/2008 22:36

I don't like tomato either (except sauce ) but dh does. Ds used to eat it but won't attempt it now, not raw anyway maybe i'll try it cooked. He's gone off cucumber recently too (but neither me or dh like that)

damewashalot · 31/01/2008 22:39

Thanks frizbe, I'll pop to boots then Oh and cherry toms have always been one of ds3's favourite foods so she had to like them

Going to bed really

Frizbe · 31/01/2008 22:50

Dame

Phoenix, as a kid I would only eat canned plum tomatoes!

damewashalot · 01/02/2008 08:14

Ds3 kept crying in his sleep so i moved him into my bed at least i didn't need to keep getting out to check him but did spend much of the night shushing and stroking hair. Then he woke up before 6 as bright as a button as they say not how i would describe myself and eyes aren't stuck

mustrunmore · 01/02/2008 08:55

Oops. Too much to catch up on!

I've never met a child that likes mushrooms.

Ds1 ate one bite of a tomato yest; first time he's ever done it without spitting back out .

I ran 10km yesterday, so Im chuffed! Very very slow, and flat, but at least I did it (65:46).

I've never dislocated anything on my child. Dh did, however, smash ds1's head into the door lintel full force when he was about a year old, trying to give him a ride on his shouldrs

Dont know what I'm going to buy with my book token EPPM; too much choice, too big a decision!

No tummy ache this morning. but I did lie in till just now, so maybe I didnt notice it so much! I still feel like I'm walking round in a queasy bubble though.

Chloe55 · 01/02/2008 10:03

Wow, that's great MRM (and that is sooooooo fast to me, I must run at a snail's pace!!!)

CSWS - hope dd's wrist is better this morning. Has the morning sickness kicked in yet?

Flame - I luuurve Prison Break, dh got the 2nd series on box set for christmas so we are ploughing through that at the mo, as well as the latest series of heroes, then lost starts this week! Thank god 24 is on hold in the states at the mo!!!

Any advise on how to keep a toddler warm when the heating keeps blowing out in the middle of the night, he takes off his fleece sleep suit/gro-bag and kicks the covers off

Potty training is going quite well, he has been in pants since wednesday and they are really pleased with his progress at nursery. He still has quite a few accidcents obviously but he tells someone as soon as he has, he is normally quick enough to get to the potty at home though. Still waiting on a number two this time round though.

Phoenix · 01/02/2008 10:37

Chloe - Has his grobag got a zip down the front? Put it on back to front so he can't get to the zip.

mustrunmore · 01/02/2008 10:49

Wrap him all round in parcel tape so he cant get out of anything

My Dad has said he's going to give me his cross trainer next time he comes, if it'll fit in the car

Frizbe · 01/02/2008 12:36

Phoenix tried that with dd2, so she did an escape act anyway with assorted amounts of twisting and grunting till she was out of it again that's ma girl!
Job in a circus me thinks.

Chloe, well done on the potty training I keep thinking about it, then rapidly putting it to the back of my mind although I know I should really crack on with it soon, dd2 has decided to stop wanting to do it of her own accord, so I'm a bit half and half on pushing the matter at the mo. Suppose it would be better for my wallet and the environment though might leave it another month I think then get brave (when she's mainly at nursery!)

Dame, sorry you had a bad night, but yay for ds feeling lots better

Keeps trying to snow here, can see it on surrounding hills, and they're snowed in up the road, on the moor, according the girls at nursery this morning! Ooh someone just in shop says next town over is covered in the stuff, must just be missing us at the mo, but at least I know we can go places for sledging tomorrow

FlameNFurter · 01/02/2008 13:45

i have forgotten everything I was going to say

How's Pippa today?

Frizbe · 01/02/2008 15:44

Yay its gone pitch black and is snowing proper snow now as opposed to the random amounts of hail earlier, oh yes and this mornings thunder storm?

Frizbe · 01/02/2008 16:25

I need a slap girls, am feeling incredibly broody for no apparent reason.......argh!

damewashalot · 01/02/2008 17:32

dh's plane cancelled, airport shut, will be at least 24 hrs late.

Ds3 drooped again, clearly not right but other than a bit snotty not obvious what's wrong, realised he was exposed to CP 14days ago the day before childs spots came out

Brief snow cause excitment here but gone now.

Care to join me then frizbe???

DontDreamItBeIt · 01/02/2008 18:49
