very excited and happy for your CSWS (someone slap me this news is making me broody!) is that the spare bedroom gone then???

Hi Kel great to hear things are going good with your new man, you've had such a rough ride lately have a big {{{{hug}}}}} we miss ya, but we understand you have a real life too

Flame for ds, glad A&E got it out quickly, raisen snorting eh waiting for dd2 to try that one out now

MRM did you re get the pic?

Dame its gotta be a girl this time

I was expecting a post on here from some journalist, asking to do a piece on us all, what with us being the longest running/chatting antenatal thread on here could see us all having a photo shoot for Mother & Baby at CSWS's house now, with all the kids brandishing Flames nappies (free ad's right )

KelBelle · 28/01/2008 23:24

Hi Frizbe,

Yeah things not been too great really this end, it has been a year in Feb since me and DH split last year and also the judge turned my divorce down last week due to "insufficient detail" on the petition so I have to start all again now. On top of that and my mum passing away last month, my stupid selfish older brothers are fighting over money for my mums house, still waiting to see if I will be able to claim housing benefit as I'm not working at present, I slipped a disc in my back and cant feel my foot or leg and I'm worried sick about my younger brother who is living in my mums house at the moment and wants to stay there but older brother wants it sold. It has been a nightmare. Can honestly say though that after splitting with DH I have become VERY strong!! Dont know how but I do manage to get through it.

Flame - how is the nappy business going?

Chloe - sorry to hear about your early miscarriage, hugs to you, hope you are ok xx

DontDreamItBeIt · 28/01/2008 23:38

csws - I'll bump your thread in the morning. DD1 self weaned when I was pg, but obviously alot younger. Oooh I'm all excited. I reckon there will be more babies due his year, too.

dame - I agree the bump size/shape thing is hokum Good for you waiting for a surprise. I like to wait, too

Kel - that is one really tough year! I hope things are beter this time nex year. At least the new man seems to be going well

Glad ds is ok Flame. Was tha your thread I saw earlier? Or did someone else also have a ds with raisins up his nose today??

My little monkey was up til 10. He has drawn all over his (white) cot in green felt tip pen today.

Gah - pregnancy insomnia setting in already. Have been awake since ten past five .

Dame - I don't think I know the names of your other boys now I come to think of it. Feel free to email me!

Lovely to see you Kel. That really is quite a year! Does Ben get on well with your new man too? How long has your leg been a prob? I assume the feeling is expected to come back?

Friz - the loft conversion will give us an extra bedroom, so we'll still have 2 spare .

FlameNFurter · 29/01/2008 07:37

Kel

Yup, that was my thread earlier

Business going slow atm - post christmas slump i think.

DH used up the milk in the night (assuming for a bottle), I thought there was more in the bottle than there was so I now have damp cereal but not enough for proper breakfast and it is horrible. If I had realised I would have just had a cup of tea, but now I can't even bloody do that.

I am still hurting, not pain properly but a niggly ache that is wearing me down now. I am due on any time from Thursday though, so it could just be pre-period pains now and it is just a run on thing.

Generally tearful probably pmt.

mustrunmore · 29/01/2008 09:06

Hello Kel

sorry, I've forgotten most of the bits, except yes Friz, I did get it. Very good!

Painting ceilings seems to have given Jas thetypimg skills of me

Flame, what re you giving me? I've still got such a tumu ache, and nausea. I think its the menopause Or i'm dying.

csws, you'll want to get a wriggle on with the extension now, wont you? I know I wouldnt have tolerated that sort of upheavel in a niggly pg state! Or maybe I'm just too intolerant Hey, you'll have to buy lots of storage now too, with 2 kids worth of crap lying around

mustrunmore · 29/01/2008 09:07

Oh, and can you try and have another girl please so that ds1 and ds2 have got one each??!!

damewashalot · 29/01/2008 10:23

CSWS sorry can't email you my boys names for you to work out what goes with them as have no email address for you.

Kel, sorry to hear things have been so rough for you but glad all is good with new man.

Flame sorry never got back to you about nappies, shelved the idea for now, I'm just to crap at doing stuff i need to do now without adding more jobs plus leaking has randomly stopped for no obvious reason

2boysmacca · 29/01/2008 10:40

Congrats csws!

Advice on exercise. Not sure if your HR is high without knowing your resting HR but it sounds like you are working hard at the gym. General advice is keep exercising, go at times of the day when you know when your energy levels will be higher, avoid abdominal exercises (but always remember to use your core i.. hold in tummy to activate those pelvic floor), avoid supine exercise too. remember you will have more joint laxity so be careful. Keep hydrated, keep to low impact activities such as cycling, swimming etc Strength training is very good for pregnant mums, do you currently do it now? I'd go and speak to your gym instructor and they will best guide you on what would be better for you as an individual.

Hello everyone else.

Chloe55 · 29/01/2008 14:19

Please can someone convince me that my very annoying, whingey, demanding, loud and generally pain in the arse ds is normally quite nice?? He went down for a little nap, ten minutes later took off his nappy and peed all over his mattress, there was no getting to sleep after that so he has just screamed blue murder for the past couple of hours. I have shut the baby gate to his room and he is just stood at it, shaking it, yelling 'STAIRS!!!!'

On top of that I have had a credit card company and a phone company ringing demanding for money from missed payments, have opened a letter from a debt collecter demanding we pay our electricity immediately or they will come to our house, have also missed a payment for a catalogue which charges £20 for missed payments and I have done that twice now, so, my bargain xmas pressies have increased by £40 and one of them is f**king broken anyway

My stomach still keeps bloating up, I keep getting pains like I have eaten too much/indigestion even when I haven't and I have done Slimming World really well this week and included 4 sessions at the gym and put on a pound!!

I feel like absolute shit today and I apologise for all my self-pity

Chloe, breathe, he's a stroppy nearly 2 yr old but is lovely mostly

Bring him down have a cuddle, put on cbeebies or aa dvd, make yourself a coffee and breathe again.

Once you've both calmed down you can think about the other stuff, brains don't work around screaming kids.

Chloe55 · 29/01/2008 14:32

Thanks Dame, its gone quiet so he has either given in and gone to bed or is sat looking woeful at the babygate, I'll give it 5mins then check, if it's the latter then I will have a cuddle with him.

On a funny note (but not at the time) I went into ds's room a couple of days ago as he was chatting away after his nap. He had taken his nappy off and was telling me to look at his fingers which, yep you guessed it, were covered in poo! Then when I went to clean them he threw them up to his face and got poo everywhere, up his nose, in his eyes (I'm sure that didn't help the conjunctivitis!), in his mouth, yuck it was just soooooo disgusting!

damewashalot · 29/01/2008 14:36

Yuk!

Put the kettle on anyway and make sure you go up while he's quiet so if he's awake you can say now you've stopped making that dreadfull noise you can come down, then he thinks you've won and it's on your terms

Never let children know they've won!

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/01/2008 16:09

Oh hugs Chloe. Are the pains still the aftermath of your m/c (didn't you say your body was still getting over it?), or is it PMT do you think?

Did you decide not to potty train yet in the end? Can you get him some poppered vests big enough? That's the only way that I can stop dd taking her nappy off herself.

Well I have an appointment to review my gym programme on Friday afternoon, with woman who is trained for both pre and post natal, and an appointment with GP for Thursday morning to register pregnancy. Was surprised that I needed one with him, but receptionist said that that is the process, and he then gets the ball rolling with everyone else. It will amuse him no doubt, as dh asked him only last Friday to organise having his sperm tested .

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/01/2008 16:10

Oh and dame - flame has my email address, so you could always tell me boys names via her, since she would no doubt like to be nosey too .

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/01/2008 17:14

Can you all vote 'yes' re the poll linked on this thread please. Has to be done today .

damewashalot · 29/01/2008 17:25

VotedGin and have emailed flame.

Morgan · 29/01/2008 18:04

Hi everyone (if you still remember me ) but i have been lurking as usual and just saw csws's news which is very exciting. I thought i would come on and post and then i saw the announcement. Wanted to wish all Feb 06 or thereabouts toddlers a very happy 2nd birthday - where did all the time go etc etc?

DD is a very curly haired chatterbox with the occasional tantrum and mostly keeps me amused as she is very funny mostly unintentionally - phrase of the week is I dont like it whiçh can be related to most things at some stage including her favourite bear.

Sorry don't know what happened there - blame my new pc

Chloe55 · 29/01/2008 18:15

I'm just not sure CSWS, I have been in the most foul mood today though with zero patience so would suggest PMT I think.

Nappy training is kinda still in progress, I tend to leave it up to him, sometimes he uses his potty sometimes not - is a bit lazy but I just haven't been all that enthused about the whole thing recently

DontDreamItBeIt · 29/01/2008 19:36

TOO LATE TO VOTE CSWS. THEY'VE REMOVED THE POLL ALREADY I THINK. (sorry, caps lock)
