Oooooh, how exciting! Where do your parents live in Salisbury, SOL!!? Yes, I went to Wyndham Park Infant School and St. Mark's Junior School. I moved to Durrington when I was 10 and finished my schooling there. Did you grown up in the fair City??

How is everyone this morning? DD1 is at Pre-School (hurrah!); DD2 when a friend and P in bed ..... phew!!

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 09:55

Just saw 2nd half of that post from SOL I lived in Alderbury til I was 10; but mum lives in St Marks Road in Salisbury now and my dad lives just off Wilton Road.

cazboldy · 09/01/2008 10:25

morning ladies!

oooggs · 09/01/2008 10:33

morning all - off for 'coffee' with two other babies (and their mummies)

Blimey I think it is cold here, so it must be really cold anywhere north of Bristol!!

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 10:37

Morning Oooggs and Caz! Enjoy your coffee, Oooggs

mammyjo · 09/01/2008 10:42

Morning all. I feel as if a weight is lifting off my shoulders and the blackness is clearing. Yesterday and now today I feel more like my normal self. Thank goodness for that! Hoping it will carry on like this!

SOL, hope it goes ok with your FIL. He must have been really awful to you for you to react in such a way. Guess it will be a case of grinning and bearing him for a couple of hours

Elkie, hope you are ok today and managed to get some sleep xxx

Pesha, how is the neck?

Ange, hope the throat is not too painful this morning

Oooggs, enjoy the coffee

Cant think of any more, apologies to those I may have missed. Back later x

cazboldy · 09/01/2008 10:49

Glad you are feeling better MJ

Off to muck out!

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 10:50

I hope so too, MJ Love and Prayers. xxxx

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 10:54

StealthPolarBear · 09/01/2008 10:57

So glad to hear that mj!
Quick question from a domestic idiot - can I use clingfilm in the freezer?

geordiemacminx · 09/01/2008 11:12

yes

StealthPolarBear · 09/01/2008 11:13

Thank you
Very pleased, cos I already have

mammyjo · 09/01/2008 11:23

Morning SPB, CD and Caz Enjoy the mucking out

Forgot to say to octo about the healthy class thingy. I would want to get some healthy eating ideas, but I mean in the form of maybe some family recipes either that you could go through (or do a bit of cooking!) in the class, or maybe leaflets/printed sheets with ideas on. Hope that helps

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 11:27

Have cleaned the bathroom, put some nappies on to wash, cleaned out the fridge and put all the baby food DH & I made last night into the outside freezer.....

Obviously I am knackered now & need a nice sit down with a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit!

mammyjo · 09/01/2008 11:32

Was joking about the actual cooking part btw!! Your idea about the exercise bit is good too, maybe ideas that can be done cheaply or better still for free!

mammyjo · 09/01/2008 11:33

Ooh, tea and choc biscuit sounds good!

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 11:35

LOL What plans do you have today MJ?

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 11:36

Sadly don't have any chocolate biscuits.

weeonion · 09/01/2008 11:50

octo - have you to run an actual taster session with parents?? i used to do alot of group work so would be happy to send you some ideas. L dot thompson773 at ntlworld dot com

CaptainDyson · 09/01/2008 12:04

Think Octo's not going for the taster job because the hours are too difficult to negotiate, WO - DH didn't want her working on Saturdays and all that.

DD2 home, gotta go - laters .....

weeonion · 09/01/2008 12:13

sorry - i meant does octo have to run an actual session for mums that will show them a taste of what the full course will be like??

fpesha · 09/01/2008 12:40

Morning um afternoon even!

Elkie glad things are looking better for the insurance. Hope you had a good night

MJ so glad you're feeling the blackness lift now, hope it continues.

Neck is a bit better and easing up more as the day goes on.

D slept from 8 til 7.50 last night Unfortunately that meant he fed til 8.10 and we have to leave the house for scholl at 8.40 so was a bit of a mad rush! Does anyone else turn into a shouting hell bitch in the mornings when trying to get dc ready? I'm so bad, completely lose my temper with them, shout, throw things Any other time I'm ok (still lose my temper and shout but not anywhere on the same scale) but somehow just cant seem to keep calm when they're faffing about, not doing what they'r told, losing things etc etc. Need to try much harder to control myself i think.

Been into town with bf this morning. She's not finished with her dh. Her dd said she loves him and only hates him when he tells her off and he played on that. Problem is even children whos fathers beat them still love their daddys, it doesnt mean they're good for them. Told her this and she says she knows but is going to give him another chance. She did a bit of retail therapy this morning and bought a load of bits for her house to cheer herself up! Was nice to see her though, haven't seen her for a few months now. Now big dc are at school and I dont have to work lunchtimes I will hopefully be able to drive over to visit her more often in the week which'll be good. We've lost touch a bit over the last few years

Right D asleep now so think I might go have a sleep myself. He may be sleeping through but I still wake up a few times in the night out of habit I think and haven't caught up after what must be over a year of broken nights now! Things looking up now though sleep wise - YAY.

Sorry to those who its not looking up for though, dont hate me

mammyjo · 09/01/2008 12:56

Hi pesha, glad things are better on the sleep front

WO, I took octo's post to mean that as part of the interview she would have to do a taster session for mums to encourage them to take the class. Not sure if that is right though!

SOL, how was the baby sensory? None in my area either but it looks good on the website. Maybe I need to get a franchise myself!! (Or not).

mammyjo · 09/01/2008 12:57

Pesha, meant to say I know what you mean about the mad dash to get out to school. They have no concept of time and so dither around. I lose it when ds is running around on the landing butt naked and refusing to put even his pants on!

cazboldy · 09/01/2008 13:18

I used to be like that, but when Molly was born, decided that the only way I could do it was to be ultra organised!

so now clothes are put ready for everybody night before, bags packed, shoes put near the door etc etc etc

and the only failsafe way to avoid rushing is to get up really early, and leave yourself enough time - now I am only ever late on dh's days off!
