Back again. Come and join me!

Sputnik · 10/03/2008 13:55

Ok, here I am. Just place holding and will be back later

Riallymusttryharder · 10/03/2008 18:18

welcomeback sputnik!

Riallymusttryharder · 11/03/2008 15:11

DH has lost 8lb PAH and I have lost 2.5lb. Will be really stepping up the effort now.

Sputnik · 11/03/2008 17:45

Right, I'm back with an update on my progress.

So, I've been exercising and watching what I eat for the last 6 weeks or so, and 3 weeks ago got some exercise DVDs which are quite tough. They are already getting easier though and I think I'm seeing results. Since beginning of feb I've lost about 2 1/2kg, and 4cm on my waist. For some reason I haven't lost any weight for 2 weeks but maybe it's the muscle building effect

Had the odd bad day, pizza out, birthday cake etc but I'm really determined to keep slogging on with it this time!

Tips: I'm making sure I drink at least 1 1/2 litres of water a day, over and above tea consumption. Have set myself goals.

Riallymusttryharder · 11/03/2008 18:00

good to have you back sputnik.

I have been having really good days, followed by evenings where I slip up and have too much wine.

I don't know if having DH dieting with me is helping or not.

Exercise has been rubbish for the last couple of weeks but am going to get back to it tonight. I will have to start going walking aftyer DS2 asleep again because I don't suppose we'll get out and about much while he's spotty

lackaDAISYcal · 11/03/2008 19:07

am I allowed to join? My aim is to end this pregnancy no more than half a stone heavier than I am at the moment (within appropriate guidelines for my current weight/BMI; I've checked ), and will be exercising gently and eating healthily; no junk and absolutely no sweets or chocolate.

Riallymusttryharder · 11/03/2008 19:42

not even a bar of galaxy daisy?

I believe I said something similar when PG with baggins . Good luck

Sputnik · 11/03/2008 20:06

I have cut out wine completely during the week, I thuoght it would be tough but actually got used to it pretty quickly. Not even having much at the weekend now either.

Daisy, do you want us to remind you about the no chocolate part?

HellHathNoFury · 11/03/2008 20:16

Hello I am going to join you!!

My WW has been going really well, I have lost 1.5 stones and gone down a dress size and a bit, but I have had a 2 week lapse, and today I was wolfing down eggs and crusty bread rolls.
Hmmm, need to stop that one!

So tomorrow I am back on the boring!

Wish me luck... am just so damn HUNGRY since my initial lapse!

Riallymusttryharder · 11/03/2008 20:16

I am working towards that Sputnik. We have stopped buying cheapo boxes and have a niceish bottle each as DH drinks red. We are cutting down, honest! Quality not quantity.

I have just managed to do my workout for the first time in about 2 1/2 weeks (banishing DS1 to the kitchen for the tummy exercises!). The leg exercises really hurt. But if it hurts it's doing some good right?

I have been doing fairly well without chocolate, that is I haven't had it every day.

Riallymusttryharder · 11/03/2008 20:18

1.5 stones is very impressive fury, well done.
I am quite enjoying slimming world really, I like fried eggs and potatoes quite a lot. It does get boring though, but I suppose all diets do. I WILL be having a lapse next Wednesday though. But I will try to be good until then.

foxythesnowman · 11/03/2008 20:22

Me too!

Starting tomorrow, DP just gone for fish and chips.

Well, its Tuesday. Tuesday is F&C day.

HellHathNoFury · 11/03/2008 20:35

yum fish and chips....

I also bought a lateral thigh trainer from ebay, my sis bought one and had a lot of success with it so I am going to try one of those too!

Riallymusttryharder · 11/03/2008 20:42

Looks good fury - now, do I have room inthe garage for another exercise machine I don't use! There's one on ebay quite near here, so maybe...

HellHathNoFury · 11/03/2008 20:44

lol Ria

I don't have any exercise equipment - I just don't buy into the fads! But this one I have seen the results in my sis, after 3 weeks she looks amazing so I figure for £30 it can't hurt!

Sputnik · 11/03/2008 21:02

I am allowing myself a small amount of chocolate every night (munching it now actually).
I've decided that if it's a toss up between wine and chocolate the chocolate will win every time.

Fury, what did the thigh trainer do to your sister exactly?

Riallymusttryharder · 11/03/2008 22:43

i think i'd rather have wine

I do only have a treadmill in the garage. (The ski-machine was disposed of). I fancied (still do) running, but couldn't face meeting people while pounding the streets..

G'nite.

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 08:51

she now has really slim legs and her tummy has toned up as well. She looks great. I get mine in a couple of days - here's hoping I get the same effect!

foxythesnowman · 12/03/2008 09:25

Pavement running is very different to machine running I think. I am not very good at either.

I froze my gym membership as I am far to precious and don't want to be parted from LO on the only morning I am with her alone.

That's a really crappy excuse,I know!

I am writing everything I eat down. It really helps. I use a WW tracker stuck to the wall. I am vaguely aware of the points.

I look at my arse and think, tis an arse of a 65 year old woman, and its NOT MINE.

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 09:35

Foxy shut up I have met you and you look stunning

foxythesnowman · 12/03/2008 09:51

Did I show you my arse? huh? HUH???

I've porked up a bit since then!

HellHathNoFury · 12/03/2008 10:14

YAWN

lackaDAISYcal · 12/03/2008 10:54

foxy, if it helps, fish and chips is the healthiest take-away food there is

I'm still on a bit of a starvation diet, and have eaten a bowl of rice crispies since yesterday lunchtime. MS and tummy bugs are a BAAAAAAAAAAD combination though...I feel rank

still, my weight has dropped four pounds since Monday and I feel strangely pleased by that even though it's just fluid loss and will pile bck on again as soon as I start to eat properly again.

fury, with all the parties and socialising you've been doing it would be hard not to lapse. Well done on the 1.5 stone though

foxythesnowman · 12/03/2008 10:55

How about some nice ginger biscuits Daisy? You still have to eat
