Hello!!

I also need to lose a stone (or 2 ) but there are so many lovely things to eat in the house at the moment! I think meal planning is the key so have bags and bags of stuff to make up healthy meals as soon as I can be bothered!! Then just need to freeze them so they're ready to go. DS gets his own little portions frozen too so that sorts his meals out at the same time.

See, it sounds good, I just need to stop being so bloody lazy and get on with it!!

Oh, MHC, my DH is 13 years older than me! But he's said that we're definitely not having any more and that he will not change his mind so it's 'probably best I don't mention it again'

Do you really think he's too old though?

Thanks MHC!

Congrats JBM!!

Catkin - I too am lazy whan it comes to meal planning!
My idea of meal planning is - I think of what we will eat - then I get DH to cook it!!

Is that non-negotiable catkin? Wait and see when LO gets past the cute baby stage. I'm sure men get a bit broody for more babies . Oh and I expect my Dh is the oldest first time dad on here at 42, and we still plan to have more. He is 16 or 17 years older than me and every now and then I have a panic about him being an old dad and an old husband and retiring as I am reaching my prime (please tell me I haven't passed it!) but on the whole we are pretty cool about it.

Just get 'em all some clarins! My mum bought DH some this Christmas !

Nice name Bumper!

My DH was also a first time dad to DS at 42. He has never wanted children and although DS is now his world, he is determined that there will be no more and I think there will be no negotiating!!

Hi everyone!

Having a great day after 12 hours sleep last night (obviously not all in one go - that would just be silly).

Am currently weaning DS (about a week) - he's on the fruit/veggies at lunch and cereal & fruit for supper. When can I start with the protein? I can't remember...

Derlor, if you are still around, I also need to lose a stone - particularly before the end of March when I am going to a wedding and oz for a while. I've never dieted before but figure if I cut out the sweets and chocolate that would be a start. Could also reinstate a run 2-3 times a week....

Hi annobal! I started DS with protein once he was 6 months. Not sure if that was the recommendation but he's been absolutely great with it!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 30/12/2007 17:39

thankfully not

We had goose for xmas dinner and she's had several portions of mixed veg & goose all pureed up since. And when we had goose soup made with some leftovers, she had some with chunks of bread thrown in to go soggy. I am making lentil & bacon soup tonight so may try her with a bit tomorrow
