Did you bid? He's up to £27.33 which I am really pissed off at. He's worth at least £45-£50.
Should have put on a reserve.

evening all. how are ye all doing?

Food for dd pretty much as and when. she has only been wean for a week and a half though so I'm not worrying too much.

she devoured a whole pear this morning (sliced) and some toast. didn't get round to lunch but we are having roasted vegetables tonight (I'm having steak and mash with mine!). I am getting pretty hacked off with the mess and washing though!

I am cheery

Well, I WAS until DS woke up with the raging hump.

Report
milkyJammy · 31/12/2007 17:36

DD just had some mashed celeriac and sweet potato for tea and is now attempting the art of holding a rice cake and sucking on it at the same time.

I'm feeling miserable because it's NYE and we have nothing planned except me cooking something a bit nicer than usual and I predict I won't manage more than 1 glass of wine and that I'll be in bed by 9.30. Woo! Not even managed to make plans to do anything nice tomorrow

HellHathNoFury · 31/12/2007 17:37

And less cheery now I have seen the pile of things I have to label before DS goes to nursery.
UGH.

I'm the same as Jammy - steak 'n' chips for dinner, home made chocolate ice-cream for pud and in bed before midnight probably and nothing on tomorrow except a trip to Halfords to look at car-seats....god exciting life I lead

Lol!

any one know where to buy some good bibs? i looked in john lewis 2day - they had 2 for £8 (the ones with the sleeves in) - and i thought "my god i'd need 3 packets of those!!!"

Report
LittleMissNorty · 31/12/2007 17:50

10 for £1 in IKEA - they are cheap towelling but catch the food and if the stains don't come out, it doesn't matter!

Ha. Full on, high class celebration here ...

fish fingers, chips and beans, tesco v cheap lemon cheesecake (cos the custard hadn't cooled for the birds trifle) and a glass of even cheaper wine.

As a bonus we have a nice bottle of South African chenin blanc (not classy but I like it) and hopefully doritos (if the co-op have them, tesco had NONE) for "adult time" later. Will be stranger than christmas having DH home.

On the plus side we should have a plan for tomorrow.

Ugh indeed Fury, don't remind me. I need to dig out the list of items nuresery say we must supply etc. Not tonight though.

Hi all

I think we got our bibs with arms from sainsburys - they save an awful lot of washing

DS has four 7oz bottles during the day plus

breakfast - usually packet cereal and some toast/rusk/pieces of fruit/scotch pancake to gum while DD has hers

lunch - usually fruit puree (often the fruta pura ready made pots), sometimes veg puree, and then bread and butter/pieces of fruit or veg/rusk/rice cake or something similar to gum on

dinner - usually some sort of veg puree with added beans, or chicken stock, or potato or rice flakes to bulk it up. Occasionally a jar of veg/meat puree. Followed by petit filous or some finger food to gum.

Whenever I give veg puree I always add some sort of texture now as he won't eat it completely smooth - eg mashed avocado, mashed peas or banana.

I am hoping to get a bit more adventurous after new year, but we shall see!

We are out tonight and have a babysitter! Just dinner at a friend's house with three other couples friends we met at antenatal classes when pg with DD. Us four couples have done it for the last two NYE's and it's always good fun. I am v tired though so may need a few champages to perk me up

Happy New Year everyone

ROFL at the stick on nails MHC - DD1 bites her nails and i put the bitter green stuff on them - but she just licks it off - not sure how she'd take to stick on nails

FF - have a great night - i, like most of the others will be in bed BEFORE the bells (i'm a NY bah humbug anyway and find the whole thing a bit tedious - hate kissing folk i don't like just because it's NY!!)

DS is challanging me to a game of tennis on the Wii so i'd best be off - got some ass to kick!!! LOL x

Glad I am not the only one staying in tonight. Don't expect I will make it to midnight either! We aren't even doing anything special. DH is doing the dying swan and I am polishing off the chocolate log!

I feeling knackered as DH as been off sick today. Thinks he has the flu and is complaining that he aches all over, his teeth ache, and he barely slept at all last night. Well I felt exactly the same 2 weeks ago, it was just a cold and I didn't get a fricking day off! AIBU to be a little unsympathetic?

Oh, further to the food, DD is loving tomatoes! She sucks all the seedy bits then chews on the fleshy bit.

So, would you recommend the sleeved bibs? I just seem to be changing DD lots. Also one of her bibs had mould all over it where it hadn't been washed straight away

MHC, I stopped biting my nails when my aunty showed me her tiny bitten nails and told me that eventually your nails stop growing and your skin grows all around them. Not sure if it is true but freaked me out enough to stop!
