sazzybeehomeforxmas · 01/01/2008 19:48

I hope you do too kiwi

I didn't want another one but last night there was a gorgeous 3MO little girl and I'd forgotten how little and mewling they are when they're that small. And like ET the way that they move their limbs.

Made me really broody

bethoo · 01/01/2008 21:19

i would like another but i am waiting til i am 33 so that Hayden will be in school or something!!! but if it happens it happens. and will have to find a man to procreate with too!
well i really must do some cleaning as little mans high chair is covered in tinned tomatoes! not only that but it is also been squashed into the carpet.
my house has now been overtaken by toys!!!
i stopped drinking at midnight as already consumed half a bottle of vodka though i did not get to eat my ice vream or big bar of Galaxy hazelnut. oh well less weight to lose this year!!!

MerryPIFFLEmas · 01/01/2008 21:40

Bethoo tis hard letting go

LOL at some of the nagover heads.
Me and Dp ar such dullards
We assembled flat pack furniture ( we do ikea ever year between xmas and NY ) and now have a refitted study with top cupboards and storgae for our voluminous files (have a dd with a complex genetic condition sure makes for lots of paperwork and appointments)

So a few beers, a Finbar zonked on medised and a very tired dd... we got to bed at 1.30am after Jools and the kids did not wake til 8.45.
Finn had a wee feed at 5am but that was it. He has slept really badly lately as has very phlegmy cough and it rattles in his chest. No temp and he is trying to walk atm so not sick as such, just full of gunk.
He can now climb out of his highchair so now is tied in with my long scarf. He can also climb out of his walker and goes all the way up the stairs, eh can no pull himself up on flat walls Two eyes are not enough

DD is great
"Mummy Finn is trying to get up the stairs" and I get there to find 14 kgs dd struggling to contain 9kgs Finn by sitting on him and singing to him.
She is fabby that lass.

Happy new year all
Am thinking 2007 went damned quick...

Divastrop · 01/01/2008 22:36

happy new year to all!

piffle-lol @ your dd sitting on finn.my dd2 was using Elsie as a step the other day

sponge-no my mum was thankfully 350miles away.
i got home from morrisons yesterday to discover that i'd stolen some cheese(it was on the hood of Elsie's puschair and at some point ds2 had put his coat over it).

rosy-last NYE i was on MN sulking
.last night dh gave me a massage.he got some oils and a book on massage for my xmas present so i got a treat last night.i have my af at the mo but i did have some saveloy.
should be a good year then if your theory is correct!

all i had to drink last night were 2 cups of herbal tea.i am suffering enough withdrawing from these tablets so i didnt want to make matters owrse with alcohol.i am looking forward to them being out of my system completly so i can enjoy the odd glass of wine again.

Divastrop · 01/01/2008 22:40

i knew i forgot something.

bethoo-dont put yourself under pressure to dump your dp on/by a certain date.when the time is right you will just do it without thinking about it first.
such is my experience of ending relationships anyway

foxcubinapeartree · 01/01/2008 23:24

Echo what Diva says - you will know when the time is right Bethoo

Diva - looks like you and I will have a 2008 stuffed with saveloys!

Piff - you DD sounds so cute trying to stop Finbar climbing up the stairs by pinning him to the ground!!

foxcubinapeartree · 01/01/2008 23:25

I'm far too old to hsve another baby ...but would love a sister for DD!! Haw Haw

bethoo · 01/01/2008 23:49

am i missing something about saveloys?
watching fanny hill at mo

KITTYmaspudding · 02/01/2008 08:14

I dream about savaloys. I worked out that the last time I saw the sausage was back in 2006

cazboldy · 02/01/2008 08:41

pmsl kitty!

Rosylily · 02/01/2008 09:24

Kitty, that is funny and sad, I wonder how you can get back in the saddle?
if I were you what would I do...let's see.

I know, lateral thinking...I'd make a pass every now and then at moments when it would be impossible to act upon it, a crowded room, in the middle of cooking dinner, in the middle of a phonecall, in the middle of a petty argument....slightly playfully, so you stack up loads of (non) rejections from him.
I think if you did that for a while he would eventually jump you, how could he help it, you are gorgeous!

Bethoo, I agree about the dumping, relationships are so complex and it is really hard to break up...maybe you won't be able to do it until you are in love with someone else, or maybe your dp will grow up and win you round! The world is your oyster!

foxcubinapeartree · 02/01/2008 09:44

Bethoo/Rosy - I agree, its useful to attach one's attentions to someone new before dumping the old one. Even if the new object of my affections doesn't lead to anything, I find it useful to have an alternative focus - kind of reminds me that there are other fish in the sea and you wouldn't be lonely for long - your are a gorgeous creature and would get snapped up very quickly.

Kitty - I didn't realise your DP had decided on celibacy - I think Rosy's suggestion is a really good one, but its hard isn't it? (The situation, not the sausage, quite obviously). I don't understand what is wrong with your DP, with a gorgeous wife - men are ejits sometimes. Well actually, they are very often ejits

foxcubinapeartree · 02/01/2008 09:49

Sorry Kitty but I can't resist commenting on the emoticon you used in your last post:

Is it "shock" or "blow job"?

[snigger, snigger]

Rosylily · 02/01/2008 10:31

I'm baking cheesy scones. (slurp)

I still have no car so I'm forced into being creative until I can get to the shops.

Hopefully getting car back today.

Diva are you coming off your ads?

Rosylily · 02/01/2008 10:33

Foxy you are so rude

foxcubinapeartree · 02/01/2008 10:37
Shock
Rosylily · 02/01/2008 10:38

stop it

cazboldy · 02/01/2008 10:41

yes kitty, sorry didn't mean to laugh at you - wasn't what you said, but more how you said it.

foxcubinapeartree · 02/01/2008 10:42

...

LaidbackinEngland · 02/01/2008 11:00

I came back on to wish everyone a Happy New Year and , was very pleased to see you all still discussing saveloy . Hope you guys are all well.

I am really happy living in Devon and have started to make some good friends. The kids have settled in school and it is working really well DH working 2 days a week,me doing a day a week at home and the rest of the week hanging out with the boys.

Amos is a lovely boy and is delighted by his older brothers. He can say a few things, Mama, papa 'elo, Boom Boom (yeah cheers basil brush and DS2) . Eats everyting - particulalry likes sweet potato and peas.

Just starting to think about procreating again...DH and I being very slack around contraception so probably wont be long - normally I only have to be within sniffing distance of sperm and thats me done.

Will catch up on all the news and try and keep coming on.Love to all

TheBlonde · 02/01/2008 11:12

Hi Laidback - nice to hear Devon is working out well

I have to admit I am horrified by the thought of pg at the moment, enough to put me off saveloy!

I need help on a sleep issue if anyone has any wisdom to impart pls

KITTYmaspudding · 02/01/2008 11:12

Hello laidback, lovely to hear from you! Ooh another one eh?

@ my sausage face, yes foxy you are a dirty minded old moo

Rosy, good ideas, but dp doesn't want to have sex with me, he wants to want to iyswim, but he doesn't, so there's not much point in doing that
Right I'm off to find mossy's tiddly babies thread, since mine has been weighed and basically hasn't put on weight for three months , what the hell I'm supposed to do about it god only knows. My instinct is to do nothing at all.
Ho hum

ReverseThePolarity · 02/01/2008 11:43

Kitty thread is here. I haven't taken Bertie to get weighed in ages and tomorrow I am thinking of going as I would like to know what he weighs before I go back to work. Trouble is it depends on which HV is there.

Sorry about things between you and your dp at the moment. What a long time to go without saveloy. Do you still find him at all attractive?

Foxy you're a dirty old bird!

Laidback it is so nice to hear from you again. Amos sounds very clever!!

I sometimes think Bertie is trying to say "cat" and "dog". I say the words to him often enough and he seems to scream in a slightly different way when he sees Ziggy, to when he sees Merlin and Arthur. But maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there, hoping he is verbal early as he sure as hell can't crawl still!!

Feeling a bit low today as I have discussed the financial situation with dh and it isn't just down to the shopping, it is things like the car loan, the student loan (his not mine I've hidden from SL's for years ) and a loan we got out a few years back so really I do need to be earning. He has agreed to cut down expenditure on the shopping for a bit but it is too little too late. I have been sending my CV to agency after agency but haven't an appointment with any of them until Friday. Have not been shortlisted for two jobs I applied for before Christmas and no new jobs at local council or housing assocs. Happy to temp as long as allowed to express in dinner hour but think this might be putting agy's off using me (I know how it works and though they would swear blind it isn't the case, I know what would have been said if a bf Mum wanted to temp through our agy).

Anyway enough of me. I know it will be sorted eventually. Only trouble is much more of this and we will have to give up our two little luxuries. Dh = sky sports. Me = internet .

TheBlonde I have no advice on sleep as I can imagine Bertie still crawling into our bed at that age. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it...

Piffle your dd is such a love helping you with Finn!

Bethoo yes don't put yourself under pressure to dump him as that might make it worse you will rebel against your own better judgment just to piss yourself off!!

Right have done all the job seeking I can do for the day. Off to tidy up.

TheBlonde · 02/01/2008 11:55

Mossy - surely you don't need to tell the agencies about the expressing

Wait til you have the job first

ReverseThePolarity · 02/01/2008 12:23

For permanent work that's my plan. Trouble is it's temporary work - immediate work - I need right now, and if I don't tell the agency, and get an assignment the next day where I turn up and it's a portakabin with nowhere private save a toilet to express, I'm kinda scuppered, so I've been telling them.

I weighed it up, but decided that I'd rather tell them and risk missing out a little bit, than not tell them and risk getting an assignment with no facilities to express.
