Is it too soon to mention Christmas?

Evening all

We got a jolly letter from HMRC today as well

Nice day here though weather v depressing. Baby and toddlers this am then I went into Gap and got some stuff for girls at christmas - v cute red dress for B! Had a quite good night - she woke at 12 ish as per usual, fed but then when I put her back in her cot she kicked off - dh got up and sat in rocking chair for about 15 mins with her and she went to sleep - I lay in bed thinking 'no way is she going to stay asleep when he puts her bacl in her cot' - but she did! Next thing I knew it was 6.30am!! Going to try a dreamfeed thing tonight.

That's about it really.

Liath - ugh with the sick
KHIN - hope you all feel better soon
Norma - have a good time

Hello to everyone else

normabutty · 28/11/2007 18:17

Rant alert!!!!!!!!

I'm at dh. Why do I always have to sort out the packing???? He's just asked "Do we have enough clean clothes?" well perhaps if you put your dirty laundry in the laundry basket I'd know where I was with the bloody laundry. It might also help if you fix the tumble dryer .

Is it not enough that I packed and unpacked for our last weekend away, bought and wrapped and sorted all xmas presents and cards, made arrangements for meeting people at the weekend & have to put up with the ILs....

Oh and he hasn't even got the bloody bags down for me to pack stuff into ARGHHHHHHHHHHH

normabutty · 28/11/2007 18:19

Oh and before I forget...and if it's not too late , could my secret santa make it obvious somewhere that it's the MN secret santa gift. I'm also doingone elsewhere and may get confused

normabutty · 28/11/2007 18:26

lol, that's so true Eddas. I'm just so annoyed cos he hasn't bothered getting the bags down so I can't really get on with it and it's gonna mean I have a late night.

Eddas · 28/11/2007 18:29

I haev the exact same thing when we go away(thankfully only 1/2 a year, normally only the one though) dh has to get the bags out the loft and i have to ask over and over for him to do it

Think they have smaller brains

SecretSantafornormabutty · 28/11/2007 19:03

I shall address your gift to normabutty! Ooh, its exciting

normabutty · 28/11/2007 19:04

Oooh, exciting

Dh hasn't left work yet

cazboldy · 28/11/2007 19:12

my dh usually has fridays off
we always run late on fridays
I get myself an 5 children ready - i can cope with that, but it is like having an extra child to get ready when he is here.... I have to get him up, run the bath, find his clothes, get his breakfast etc etc
i do love him really!

Sexonlegs · 28/11/2007 19:46

Blimey Caz, a spoilt dh indeed.

Dh the same - although he has started packing for B as that isn't as complicated anymore. He did forget to put knickers in for her, but luckily I realised that before they headed out the door!!

K has got a ruddy cough - hoping she won't be coughing all night long..

NL, what a fab night for you. You will have to get dh to help more often .

NorthernLurker · 28/11/2007 20:20

yes indeed SOL - he is always willing - but I've always thought she settled better for me and just got on with it. Bless him - dh thinks he's up for the nobel prize for baby wrangling now

Bramshott · 28/11/2007 20:49

Oh shit, I've just realised I have been lulled into a false sense of security as I am watching Channel 4 + 1!! I should have known it wasn't 8.00!

DH is away tonight and I am supposed to be on the computer doing my Christmas shopping but I have had a gin and tonic and lost the will to do anything other than stare at the TV.

Blarggh, off to try and get some stuff for DH at least.

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 28/11/2007 20:58

Quick hello - love the title - hope it was a rabbit Norma

Hope everyone is well despite coughs, colds and nits.

Nothing exciting here - just way too manic to be able to keep up ... odd lurks to see if anyone is pg yet (not me btw)

xxx

Sexonlegs · 28/11/2007 21:08

Hi Bramshott. Pmsl at you and your G&T qouffing! Good on ya girl. Buy dh something wicked

Octo, has Ernie got over the bronchiolitis?

Bloody cat has just dribbled all over the laptop - eughhhhhhhhh.

Bramshott · 28/11/2007 21:43

Hi SOL! I got the pipe cleaners by the way, and then had a result when she had constructed more than half of said peg doll angel at a friends house with assistance from their grandparents!

Wicked - nah, I have a list here with bike and camping stuff, complete with web links - he is very organised . I am supposed to have produced a similar list, but can't think of anything I want that doesn't cost several grand (a patio, a custom built shelving system etc)

oooggs · 28/11/2007 21:46

hey octo - I was thinking about anyone being pg yet no way not me

NorthernLurker · 28/11/2007 21:58

I'm thinking that if anyone was pregnant yet they might not be too keen to share it with the rest of , salivating over our keyboards as we are

Bramshott · 28/11/2007 22:03

Salivating? Us?! [wipes dribble off keyboard] . . .

NorthernLurker · 28/11/2007 22:16

well it won't be me anyway - three is enough for me - and tbh I think 3 is all my body can stand up to. Ligaments were pretty floppy and useless this time - really painful sometimes, morning sickness was as grim as ever, have had three episotomys (sp?) now and a modest pph this time. Well I say it was modest - dh says it looked like a slaughterhouse (nice) and goes a bit pale...plus the argument with the consultant about refusing his kind offer of a GTT ( I won) and I worried a lot more this time about something going wrong and having to explain it to the big girls....whilst dh is a free agent I'm encouraging him to pay a visit to the GP

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2007 22:18
Grin
NorthernLurker · 28/11/2007 22:26

That's a highly suspicious grin Dippy.....

NorthernLurker · 28/11/2007 22:27

or was it about dh's chat with the GP....must stop salivating here....

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2007 22:33

.... but it is ok because no one else noticed.

Eddas · 28/11/2007 22:36

ooooooooooooooooooooooo CD

Notice the 4 s

PS, if you are you are indeed mad as a badger but that's why we love you
