Is it too soon to mention Christmas?

Pesha, move to Suffolk then, you know you want to, you'd get me and caz

zazas · 28/11/2007 10:40

tooth fairy forgot again - you would think she had a baby that woke up all the time through the night to have such a forgetful brain as that - last chance tonight!

Idreamofchocolate · 28/11/2007 11:26

Sorry for all those who had yuk nights last night (Oooggs, Liath, Pesha), and yay for Maveta & SPB's LOs...keep wafting those sleep vibes.

Good night here too, despite me being worried that S was going to prove me wrong and have a rubbish one. She did a lot of loud baby snoring and whimpering through the night, but didn't wake thank goodness. And Em didn't wake with a bad dream for the first night in a while, so fingers crossed it was just (another) phase.

Right, gotta get on with sorting out my tax. My code seems to be all wrong and I have got to give a load of details to a company who will hopefully confirm that HM Revenue & Customs owe me a shed load of money.

BTW, did anyone else receive a letter from HMRC today about the fact that their details are on the lost CDs? Telling us not to panic that some random person now has my & my DC's names, DOBs, NI no.s, bank account details etc etc. What a crock of sh*te!

Sexonlegs · 28/11/2007 11:28

Hi all just a quick post as I need some help.

Are any of you using booster seats instead of a highchair? Which one are you using?

Back later for a proper catch up.

Idreamofchocolate · 28/11/2007 11:41

SOL - we are using this one. It's easy to clean (tray comes off so can be washed, fabric parts can go in the washing machine), and it folds down really easily so you can take it out with you if necessary. I think the fact it has its own tray is great as I can put toys or food on it, rather than trying to tuck her into the table.

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2007 11:46

Friends unexpectedly popped over for coffee and chat, which was nice. Dad'll be here soon, best crack on ....

Using booster seat here too - will find link - it folds up nice and small and goes in dishwasher to clean (not that we have a dishwasher , but the outlaws do )

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2007 11:48

Bit like this but tray doesn't "swing", it just slides off and on ..... had it for four year now and it is fab

Gotta buzz ........

cazboldy · 28/11/2007 11:58

ideamofchocolate i got my letter yesterday!
ds3 still uses our highchair at present and no more room around the table......m usually sits on my lap. we are going to have to get a table that seats 8, maybe even 12 then even friends can fit round too!

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2007 12:04

If there's no room - does that mean Molly is it Caz!!!?

liath · 28/11/2007 12:30

Bleurgh, what a night.

Was out last night with a couple of friends, got back at 11pm to find DH immersed in Spooks - he sadi he'd heard ds cry over the moniter but had gone back to sleep. Next thing he starts to cry again and it just sounded totally wrong (to me - DH still deep in Spooks) so I went upstairs to find ds lying in a massive pool of vomit & as white as a sheet.

Got a bit of a fright - DH got a shock as he couldn't tell anything was wrong from the cry whereas to me it was obvious it wasn't his normal cry & I could tell straight away something was wrong.

Anyway, poor ds is fine now - was puking and really miserable till 3am then fell asleep.

Pesha, sorry things are getting on top of you. Oooggs - your nights sound grim still, is your DH still on nights?

normabutty · 28/11/2007 12:40

Afternoon.

I should be packing as we head down south tomorrow but I can't be arsed, I packed last time so I think dh should help out a bit this time. I know it'll be left up to me to remember everything .

There seem to be a few sickie dc at the moment don't there? Hope they're all soon back to their best.

Glad you got a better night spb.

I'm not sure how much I'll be on over the next few days (packing tonight, travelling tomorrow, no plans for friday, london sat/sun, travel back monday) so don't worry about me disappearing...unless KHIN disappears too after Saturday...in which case send someone out to look for two drunkards in the streets of London

I haven't had my letter about the disks...not too fussed though. Lots of people know my name and dob (and Erin's) and they're public record anyway. As for the account number and sort code...that's on any cheque you write anyway so I'm not worried about that.

normabutty · 28/11/2007 12:41

Liath, that must have been scary for you . Hope you're all okay. x

mammyjo · 28/11/2007 12:45

That is scary liath, glad he is better now. Funny how we can just hear that something isnt right, my dh would probably have responded in exactly the same way as yours.

Have a nice weekend norma

iloveabargain · 28/11/2007 12:51

Just a quick note to say that dh is off this week, so prob won't be on much (unless he pisses me off annoys me)

Lucewits · 28/11/2007 17:03

Have a good trip Norma

Liath, what a fright you must have got hope that ds feels better soon.

SOL, this is the booster seat that have

Booster Seat

It is the same one that I have had since dd1!

Maveta I will post the wrap in the morning for you

I have given up bf and S has been fully ff for a few days and is like a different boy. He slept all night (I had to wake him up this morning to do the school run) and has also had proper daytime naps today
Although I feel sad that I wont ever bf again I also feel slightly relieved that I can structure his routine and have a bit more freedom . I am very pleased to have managed 7 months though

SPB, hope that the move goes well. Will be thinking of you.

Lucewits · 28/11/2007 17:07

I got my letter today aswell.

I was going to post my secret santa next week Oooggs if that helps

Eddas · 28/11/2007 17:27

I think i'm going to get a nice boy booster seat ds hasn't had much bought for him so might induldge. I bought a basic cheap one for dd as we just used it at other people's houses.

Supposed to be having my friends round to dinner and 3 out of the 5 have cancelled saying they don't feel well I know it's winter and there's loads going round but Less cooking for me though I said i'd do toad in the hole and because one of them doesn't eat meat have bought quorn sausages(everyone else was fine with that, haven't told dh though!) good job the veggie is still coming lol!

DD had a right old paddy in morrison today so Bless her she's tired after school and a swimming lesson and is still getting over the pox, BUT no excuse to be a full on PITA

NB, enjoy the xmas meet up and you too KHIN

Liath, tis scary when they do things like that. Hope all is ok today

Ellie, forgot to say that I saw a pair of knickers in Asda the other day, they said 'BAA Humbug' made me think of you

Sorry to hear of the continuing sleep issues Hope they improve asap

Erm that's all my small brain remembers

I'm back to work tomorrow

Sexonlegs · 28/11/2007 17:28

Hi all

Luce, I have gone for a Safety 1st reclining booster which looks pretty similar to the one you have. I just find our current one too upright for K atm.

Great news about the sleeping situation! Long may it last!!

Hope everyone has had a good day. Quiet on here again.

Have been to the Clinic as B had to have yet more immunisations - not a happy bunny! Seems fine now after scoffing chocolate buttons!

Eddas · 28/11/2007 17:29

ooo yes, haven't had a letter from dear old HMRC, but we all know they're a load of old pants anyway. I have to phone the f@~:wits at work and they are less than useless most of the time

kneehighinnappies · 28/11/2007 17:31
