Aaw great pics guys, bloody hell my2weegirls, look at all that hair already!!! wow, she'll have a bob by the time she's one!

Tasha your boys are gorgeous as always, even if they are a handful. Nice to see your ds3 grinning away, he looks like a cheeky little chap.

Yeah perhaps best to hold off on the rice, it's got no calories in it anyway, so it'd be like fasting for several hours while his tummy empties, not good for a growing boy.

Well, dp just said that she was a friend, and any flirting was just a social thing, not proper flirting. He said he'd marry me tomorrow if we had the money, and that he doesn't want to spoil our little family. So I'm happy with that and I don't mind if he meets up with her now.

(I'm not usually the jealous type so I'm glad not to be feeling all screwed up and meanspiriteed any more, just needed some reassurance!)

My2Weegirls · 08/01/2008 13:56

that photo doesn't do her hair justice! i've got to be rreally careful putting on and taking off bibs not to catch it. and yesterday she ended up velcroed to the changing mat
(has velcro bit on it for a towel to stick on)

james - glad you feel better about the situation and that's lovely that your dp realises that he doesn't want to do anything to jeopordise his family and obviously loves you both.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 08/01/2008 14:22

Aaw, it's cute though. James isn't bald but he looks it as his hair is so fine and transparent (I love stroking his head, it's so scrummy) and it's only about 2cm long at its longest.

He's lying here asleep on my lap with his eyes open, shaking his leg and whimpering like dogs do when they sleep. Ahhh, the little weirdo.

My2Weegirls · 08/01/2008 14:40

i've got my big wee girl lying on my chest making the same sort of noises - but not doing the leg movements - - and her hair keeps tickling my nose

GillL · 08/01/2008 14:42

loler - I didn't wean dd til 6 months and she was very small and happy with just milk. I wouldn't have bothered with ds either if he hadn't reduced the amount of milk he was having (only having half of some of his bottles). I'm just being selfish though and trying to make sure he still sleeps through the night so I'm not falling asleep at my desk each day. I've got loads of entries in my red book but I only got ds weighed every week to get me out of the house and dd loved playing with the toys at the 'stay and play' clinic. I've started weighing him myself recently, not because I'm worried as he's a big boy at 19lb and filling 6-9 months clothes nicely, but because I'm just nosey

James - Well done with the weight loss. I started doing Weight Watchers back in November. I don't go to the meetings as we can't afford it and I don't have time but I've got all the books from when I went before and I find it really easily to follow. I've been a bit naughty over the last week or so but fortunately I haven't put on any weight. I've really got to start doing it properly again.

pink - good to hear from you and I'm glad you had a good xmas and new year. How are you feeling these days? The kids are much better now but still waking in the night. I've had both of them in the bed with me for the past few nights and dh on the sofa. Work isn't too bad. It's like I never left really. I enjoy having child-free time and I wouldn't want to go back to being at home full time but I do miss them and I would love to work part time. The main difficulty is having to get up at 6:30 every day when the kids would quite happily sleep til 8 and dd is still a nightmare at bed time so I can rarely get to bed as early as I need to. Dh's boss told him that he would be 'developed' this year so hopefully that means better job and much better pay, giving me more freedom to take a part time job with less money if necessary.

Lovely pics tasha and my2weegirls. Your dd2 looks so much older than 20 weeks in that picture my2weegirls. I'm sure the hair contributes to that. How much does she weigh now? She looks like she's sitting up well by herself. I thought my ds had loads of hair but in comparison he has hardly any. He's going for his first hair cut soon as it's in his eyes now and I have to sweep it across his forehead, making him look very old fashioned. I would cut it myself but I'm sure it would end up looking awful.

tasha - my dd put poo in my mum's bath on new year's day. She did number 1 and 2 in the potty and just poured it all into the bath. I don't know why but she must have thought it was a good idea at the time.

GillL · 08/01/2008 14:44

My ds's hair is about 3 inches long. It's really short at the back where he rubs his head on the cot and long on the top, front and sides. It looks quite funny.

My2Weegirls · 08/01/2008 15:08

hi gill - i've no idea what she weighs now - will try and get to clinic on thu. i don't think people believe me when i tell them how old she is. i actually need to get up the loft to get some 9-12mo clothes as some of the 6-9 stuff is too wee.

she sits well when she's alert but when tired she just slumps forward.

lol at your dd!

tasha21 · 08/01/2008 15:11

i cant cope with this anymore, i never see anybody but the kids, im fed up with my house constantly being a tip, im fed up with ds1 being cheeky to me and ds2 constantly clinging to my leg crying, im fed up with never having any time to myself, im fed up with lo always having to be in my room for safety reasons. sorry if i sound selfish.

tasha21 · 08/01/2008 15:17

i never even have anytime to play with the kids cause im constantly running after them, i mean i sat down earlier to colour with ds1 and 2 and then ds 3 started crying

My2Weegirls · 08/01/2008 15:31

tasha - big big hugs.

i find it hard with 2 never mind 3, your doing a great job.

is there anyone that can help you?

what about a sling for ds3 - i've got one that i've never used would happily post it to you if you think you could use it?? it's purple so would do a wee boy. will try and find a link for you to look at.

how do you manage going out with the 3 of them. when i've got the 2 of them (dd1 goes to a childminder 3 days a week) i've got to get out in the mornings - park, soft play, shops etc.

does ds1 go to nursery or play group - that would give you a couple of hours with 2 of them.

what about mumsnet local? are there any mums you could invite over for a coffee or meet up?

My2Weegirls · 08/01/2008 15:41

think it's this one

"freedom sling"

tasha21 · 08/01/2008 15:43

there isn't anyone that can help me cause my mum has a 3 year old as well. i do have a sling but lo never seems comfortable in it because its one where the baby lies down and when they get older then they sit up but lo cant hold his head up properly yet and he hates lying down cause although hes tiny he still is 4 months old. i have a double buggie that i put the 2 younger ones in when im feeling brave but ds1 always plays up he hates holding my hand and its hard when i put straps on him to controll the buggie, i end up loosing control of ds1 and just know that everyone is judging me. i keep meaning to get him into nursery but never get the chance to go and see about it because there is a really steep hill at it that i would struggle to get my heavy double buggie up. ive posted on the mumsnet local a couple of times but nobody replies. sorry its so long

My2Weegirls · 08/01/2008 15:48

that's a short post compared to james's ones

what about a buggy board - don't know if they fit double buggies??

could your hv point you towards other mums?

tasha21 · 08/01/2008 15:52

lol to james post. ill talk to my health visitor on thursday thats when lo is due injections. the buggie board doesnt fit my buggie cause its one in front of the other. hate my buggie ive asked dp loads of times for a new one but he doesnt understand how much difference it would make to my days. im just having a hard week.

My2Weegirls · 08/01/2008 15:59

keep moaning away on here!

what about trying to swap buggies with another mumsnetter or trying freecycle to see if anyone is getting rid?

GillL · 08/01/2008 16:16

big hugs from me too tasha. I can't imagine what you're going through but I know how it feels to start doing something with an older dc (who's been waiting patiently) and then the younger one needs your attention. Would your mum have ds1 to play with her lo for a couple of hours a few times a week? My sil is in a similar situation. Her ds1 is 2.10 years, her dd is 1.10 years and her ds2 is 8 months. Would it help if you could chat to her on msn or email? Even if it's just having someone who knows how you feel. She might even have some tips for you for coping. Let me know and I'll ask her if it's ok.

shrinkingsagpuss · 08/01/2008 16:21

Hi guys!

God, it takes me so long to catch up! I can't post much, as computer is covered up in the day so it doesn't get dusty from building work.DS's room is finally being divided in half so they both have a room.

What a mixed bunch of babes we have, James - you know i think this is why it is sooo important to just go with what you feel is right.. our babes are spread over, what 6 weeks or so, and they are all so different!

Evie doesn't roll ,isn't interested in her feet, but talks non stop, loves faces, loves her bowl at tea and lunch, loves her new teacher beaker but spills most of it. Her favourite toy is the a suqare thing we got from Boots, ot fascinates her for ages!

But today she has been the child from hell. She refused her 11 am feed, and screamed, and arched her back, but she ate her veggies fine! She has hardly slept. She had a feed at 2, but only one side, and screamed after that too. She is now sort of asleep on DS's bed. but I'll have to get him from nursry soon, and I've done bugger all all day. Oh Joy.

Love catching up, and looking at pictures, must post some mroe of evie.

tasha21 · 08/01/2008 17:06

that would be great gill, she'd prob hit me a slap though cause she is in a harder situation than me
shrinking - good idea dividing room in half.

ds1 just told me in his own wee way that he doesnt like eggs, he got a dozen outa the fridge and smashed them all over the bench, well there goes my idea of baking buns with him later.

starting to get some where here, ive reached the bottom of the wash basket but as im typing there is something else getting messed so better go

Pinkranger · 08/01/2008 20:17

tash - take my hat of to you girl must be so hard!! You are doing a fab job !!! ( god i wished we all lived near each other sometimes to help out!!)

Im am feeling really well thanks GillL the anti d are great, missed them for a few days over Christmas and i really noticed the low feeling creeping in so im going to keep taking them at the mo, got to go back to docs for next prescription so will see how long she says!
Some of the Lo have such long hair, tate has hair but not much , will try and put new photos and profile at some point over the next few days!

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 08/01/2008 22:07

Evening, folks, ooh lots of posts for once, lovely! Glad to hear you have your pnd under control pink, you sound so much better!

Hey sagpuss, always nice to hear from you- you're so right, they're all wonderfully different. Today I let J have some naked time in front of the fire as he has a sore bottom (from teething I think) and he rolled over both ways as he was craning to look at his uncle and the telly. He can sit for 30 seconds or so propping himself on his hands before he folds in half like a deckchair.

Also he was practising blowing a raspberry earlier- he's going to be such a cheeky one, I can tell! Still not much chatter going on though, perhaps I talk too much and he can't get a word in edgewise! lol

Made annabel karmel's Butternut squash and Pear puree for his dinner and he ate loads of it, so it's obviously a hit. Seemed to eat quite a lot of his breakfast too (stewed apricots mixed with a little petit filous) - little sod's still awake though, dragging out his last feed.

OMG at the dc's getting creative with poo! I think it was on MN I read about someone's child putting poo in the washing machine drawer.

Tasha, I really feel for you, wish I lived nearer so I could lend a hand, or an ear. I don't have any advice really, but you sound like you need a break- did you say you could get help from the surestart people? Cheer up though, you're doing an amazing job! Not everyone could cope with three under three, it's bloody hard and you aren't selfish at all to ant some respite from the chaos now and then. I would text you but I don't know if you might be in bed- don't want to wake you or the dc's up. Hope you feel better soon anyway.

And loler, I supersized this post just for you lol

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 08/01/2008 22:09

Er, not loler, my2weegirls! duhhh

My2Weegirls · 09/01/2008 08:42

thanks for the big post james

i've got to ask (i'm inquisitive and not nosey ) who's his uncle on the tv????

shrinking - how long will it take the builders? we got our garage converted last year and it seemed to take ages and the amount of dust was quite incredible!

tasha - how you doing today?

pink - that's good the ads are helping, i think one of my friends was on them for about a year but from about 6 months she started to reduce her dose.

i gave dd2 carrots and sweetcorn last night and she loved it, kept wanting more and i think that it helped her to sleep a little bit better as she slept through the bloody horrendous gale force winds, rain, sleet, hail stones etc etc (dp and i only got about 3hrs sleep each) am dreading going out to see what state the garden is in and if the roof is stillintact!!

i know that 'they' say solids don't help with sleep but it must do a little if they are more content and happy??? or am i just delusional?

tasha21 · 09/01/2008 09:12

omg james im never in bed that early
it w a would seem like such a waste of a night.
im so jealous af all the eating babies!
cant wait till lo gets weighed tomorrow.
im feeling a bit better today i need to fill my days up, i just need to think wat i could do that the kids would enjoy and i could manage.
pink i was on ads for a year after ds1 was born and only stopped because i was pg with ds2, and then i was on them again after ds3 but i just stopped them myself after a month (mabe shouldn't have ) so i think it just depends on yourself and when you feel ready

Pinkranger · 09/01/2008 09:23

do fell so much better!!!!
My2wegirls - i personally think the food DOES help them sleep better, yesterday ds has small breakfast, lunch and dinner and slept from 7.50pm until 6.25 this morning . Had breakfast of pear and apple puree with babyrice and now sound asleep!!

Jame - have you tried AK Vegetable Medley recipe - tate Loves that one, there is a book in boots at the moment 100 puree recipes that i did consider??

tasha21 · 09/01/2008 10:16

yea i think it makes them sleep better too, ds slept 12 and 1/2 hours with no bottle!!! lol
