FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 19/11/2007 21:51

Right, must go to bed. Everyone else has gone and I did promise myself an early night. g'night everyone

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/11/2007 21:52

N'night Fairy.

Sputnik - it is about 3 miles to Holkham beach from Burnham and I believe it is windy all year round...

Sputnik · 19/11/2007 21:57

We would trek out there and back everyday for a week. We were with another family, our neighbours who had 4 kids, it was a really good holiday.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/11/2007 22:01

Sounds lovely - hope ours is like that next year. A couple of other friends are staying nearby with kids similar ages so should be great fun.

Right - I'm off to feed DS and SLEEP - I am knackered today!

foxythesnowman · 19/11/2007 22:03

Thanks Elsbells, you are a star!

Not this wednesday (have a lunch plan with new RL baby mate after weigh-in), but next wednesday? (29th-ish)? Am confused now...

Sputnik · 19/11/2007 22:06

I'm off too. just realised the baby hasn't woken yet. Maybe tonight will be easier

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 20/11/2007 07:34

Morning. Feeling rather better this morning Went to bed at 8.30 last night, and DD only woke once at 2.45 then slept through until 6.45 so got plenty of rest. Am more snotty (sorry!) but headache has subsided a lot. Hope that DD won't be too shrieky today and then I think I'll be OK.

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 20/11/2007 13:07

Hi Jammy

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.

Annobal, sorry but I can't do this weds either as I have plans to meet a friend with DCs

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 20/11/2007 13:08

Blimey its quiet on here!

Glad you're feeling a bit better Jammy....Don't do too much today...

god I've got to go out again....nightmare here!

Elsbells · 20/11/2007 13:48

Jammy so happy to hear that DD is more settled. BF every 2 hrs is very very hard and you are doing a FAB JOB!!! Hey some of us (er, like me) finally stopped at 3 1/2 months so am envious of your energy.

No one seems to be around. It's so ugly outside but DS is getting restless so need to go out somewhere.

Hope everyone is enjoying their winter afternoon.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 20/11/2007 14:49

It's miserable weather here too. But we went out for a bit, to get LO weighed (wanted to check that solids wasn't having an adverse effect (in either direction)), and to get me extra vit C, tissues, and lemon barley drink (always want it when I'm poorly). Oh and chocolate of course

DD's weight was fine, 15lb 13oz, so following just above the 75% line. Has gone up a few centiles. but HV wasn't concerned, thinks it will settle down once she starts moving about. So we're fine to keep feeding as we have been doing

Sorry you're having a nightmare, Norty. And Daisy (whenever you are next 2about") hope you're having some fun and enjoying time with your mum.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 20/11/2007 14:50

oops, damn shift key not working there, that 2 should have, of course, been a "

foxythesnowman · 20/11/2007 15:06

hello - got caught up on that shopping thread for pressie websites, been on there about an hour. oops. Now no time, as school run.

Jammy, meant to say the other day, love your hair colour!

Els, don't forget to email me!

Hope everyone is OK. Will be back later.

Daisy & Derlor - enjoy your hairy-trucker blind date

annobalthebignosereindeer · 20/11/2007 15:14

What a horrible day! We've just gotten back from bluewater - thank god i won't have to do that again as now have all Christmas pressies sorted (will do them on-line).

Foxy, how is E's weight now? I made the mistake of getting DS weighed today and he's dropped from the 50th to the 9th. He's 6.44kg or 14.3lb at 19 weeks. He seems fine so I'm not too worried. I did want to check on the bf charts as the one in my book is for ff babies.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 20/11/2007 15:15

Meant to say, no problem about tomorrow - I can do next wed as well...

andiemisletoe · 20/11/2007 15:52

hope daisy and derlor had a good meet up
catch up later

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 20/11/2007 17:51

Hi all

Anyone else find themselves walking the streets just because LO is asleep?! I don't mind living on the 1st floor but it does make it difficult when DD falls asleep. It's not so bad if she is in her car seat on the quinny, though it still takes some manouevering (sp?) to get the bloody maxi cosi off. But otherwise if she is asleep and sometimes I just need her to sleep so I end up pounding the pavements until she wakes up!

Norty hope your kitchen nightmare gets better soon!

Jammy, hope you are feeling a bit better.

Annobal, well done on the shopping! I think 50th to 9th sounds worse than it is. It doesn't look so bad on the chart.

Andie, great news on the wii. Something else to get addicted to. Sorry you are having regular night wakings. That must've been tough with DH being away. Hope the rest of you have had good days!

Elsbells · 20/11/2007 18:12

hiya Foxy
Realised I sent the email this morning to .com instead of co.uk
I have resent it so hope you have received ok?

Er, I think I called you Fairy too....my mind is truly everywhere!!!

Anyhow I am in a bit of a foul mood so going offline. My RL friend asked what my behaviour was like as a toddler as my DS started to have tantrum (always in front of her perfect DD). She has made quite a few comments lately and I am now getting a bit defensive about the whole thing. Yes he can really be spectacular at times w/a tantrum but in the last yr we have moved, he has left his nursery and of course the new addition. And I am also very quick to discipline him when necessary so I think I really am doing the best I am. At the end of the day I LOVE my DS and wouldn't change him for the world. It's winding me up all her recent criticisms. She belongs to a close circle of mother's I am friends with so she is hard to avoid. Not sure what to do.

Hope everyone is doing well and getting sleep.x

DaisyNightingale · 20/11/2007 18:38

just a quick one....derlor and i had a lovely meet-up and she is every bit as lovely in rl as she is on-line. she said hi to all. she was looking very fab and glam and i felt really frumpy. he r dd2 is a real cutie, with the most gorgeous big brown eyes. she and babyboo gurgled at each other a bit.

she brought me some lovely aromatherapy candles for me and my sisters and mum, which was just so nice

didn't get anything for me at the shops (inspite of the radley/tula factory shop ) but got some bits for the DCs. I was looking for inspiration for Christmas presents, but didn't find anything.

right off to catch up....

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 20/11/2007 18:52

Hi Daisy....bet it didn't take long to catch up

Glad you had a good meet-up...

I've just finished washing up in the bath ...paper plates and disposable cutlery tonight ....kitchen looks fab though....

foxythesnowman · 20/11/2007 18:55

Els, tell your mate to wind her farking neck in! Cheeky cow! Just nod sagely, safe in the knowledge that her little -bugger- darling will follow suit.

It just means your son has a stronger character than her daughter and wants to push boundries. Obviously he has a more inquisitive, exploratory and creative mind.

Sounds like you had a lovely time Daisy! at that Derlor's glam. Obviously she is putting her time to better use than being on here or shopping on t'internet all day!

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 20/11/2007 19:25

Elsbells, don't worry about the comments - rest assured that her little darline isn't sweetness and light 24/7, none of them are. TBH I'd be worried if a child was perfectly behaved at all times because, as foxy said, it shows that they have no spirit or character of their own.

Daisy, glad your meeting with Derlor went well, she hasn't been around for ages. How dare she have a RL

Norty - how long until some normality comes back?

annobalthebignosereindeer · 20/11/2007 19:30

Glad you had a good meet-up Daisy & Derlor.

Thanks Bumper - i knew there was a reason I wasn't getting DS weighed - now I know I'll worry about it!

New kitchen Norty, v exciting. Lol at the washing up in bath tonight - DH was also washing the bath tonight for a whole other reason thanks to DS2 getting caught short

Foxy - do you know where I can find the bf growth charts?
