Annobal, that looks lovely

Elsbells, don't remind me about potty training, I keep putting it off with DD. I'm dreading it

Elsbells · 19/11/2007 21:24

Hi Annobel, Fairy and LMN.

Just finished watching Nigella ourselves - her pantry is as big as my bathroom so feeling a bit .

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/11/2007 21:26

Nigella is delicious but how has she not had a heart attack!

Fairy, the longer you put it off, the easier it is.

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 19/11/2007 21:26

Thanks Sputnik, maybe I should try a cup. I've tried increasing the teat size but it hasn't made any difference. TBH he's never been that interested in his formula, well compared to DD anyway who used to guzzle down loads. He does need to keep taking it though so I will try anything!

Annobal, Barnes or Puteny would be fine for me. We would have to avoid Mon or Thurs though as DD goes to nursery those mornings and it would be too far to get back in time to collect her.

Sputnik · 19/11/2007 21:27

OMG Elsbells don't say that. My DD was hell to potty train. Think it's a character thing though, Baby Sputnik is much mellower so will be very easy (please )

Elsbells · 19/11/2007 21:27

Ohhhhhhh that cottage looks lovely.
Not sure if we will have the ££ for anything next year.

Is anyone getting excited for Xmas yet or is RL making everyone feel a bit blah (or is that just me?)

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 19/11/2007 21:28

Thanks Annobal, I don't think she;s really ready yet anyway tbh and she's only 2.2 - but everyone keeps asking me if I've started so it's hard not to feel a bit under pressure.

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 19/11/2007 21:29

DD is VERY strong-minded which is really why I'm dreading it so much. She needs to be really ready as I will never convince her to do it otherwise

Elsbells · 19/11/2007 21:30

I keep believing that boys are harder at everything to kid myself into thinking everything will be easier with DD.

foxythesnowman · 19/11/2007 21:34

oooh, Putney (some Chrismas shopping opportunities too) please!!

Friend of mine went to Kingston on Friday, said the Christmas Shoppers were out in force and it was a bit of a nightmare!

Elsbels, wondering if I could ask a favour? I'm in contact with a MN'er who's son is going to GOS for same op with same consultant. We've been emailing, I've given her some reassurance, but was wondering, if you have the time and are willing, to share your experience. If so, please email me on laineyjbe at hotmail co uk.

Righto, back to Christmas shopping. Going to book my supermarket slot now. Most of my shopping has been done, just got to wait for it to start arriving - so plenty of opportunity and time for it to go tits up!

Sputnik · 19/11/2007 21:34

It would be great to meet Annobal,or anyone else that wants to pop over

Burnham Overy Staithe, that's funny we went there in the long hot summer of 1976! There is a fantastic beach you have to trek miles to, we used to go crab fishing, it was great. Hope weather will be decent

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/11/2007 21:36

Els we stayed near there last year and it was gorgeous.

I wanted to hire here but have not managed to convince dh yet . He's threatening hiring a campervan and holidaying in France & Italy next summer. DS2 (2) told me I had to dye my hair orange. Needless to say, I am still to be convinced...

Fairy & Andie, I could possibly do this Wednesday?? If Foxy's around it's not far from her... (and anyone else??)

I blardy love Christmas and have made my list, just not executed it yet.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/11/2007 21:39

Burnham Overy Staithe has great crabbing (in terms of being 2 and 4) and i think the beach you mean is Holkham, which is gorgeous...

Sputnik · 19/11/2007 21:39

Fairy ignore them re potty training. I think it's just one of those things people say. Tell them you're waiting for summer as it's easier.

foxythesnowman · 19/11/2007 21:39

I'm in for sure!

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 19/11/2007 21:40

Annobal, not sure about this weds. Have stupidly left my diary at home and am staying at my parents' tonight. I have a funky feeling that I'm busy on weds but brain is still mushy so could be wrong. I could let you know tomorrow...

Elsbells · 19/11/2007 21:40

Foxy of course I will email...totally know what it is like and wish I had been am MN addict back then for support. I will do 1st thing tomorrow.

Sputnik, a belated thanks btw. I read an old post I did last yr on the antenatel thread and you helped me combat my morning sickness! I wish I had known about preggy pops with DS too.

Night ladies.
DH is missing me.

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 19/11/2007 21:41

Foxy and Annobal, whereabouts do you live?

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/11/2007 21:42

Night Els...

No problem Fairy, if not I may need to go to Bluewater (praying that you can do Wednesday to save me from that hell...)

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/11/2007 21:42

I'm in Blackheath...

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 19/11/2007 21:43

don't do it Annobal, sounds like hell on earth at this time of year.....

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 19/11/2007 21:43

Ah, DH used to live in Greenwich and I was in Canada Water so I know Blackheath well - I love it!

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/11/2007 21:44

Think I'll buy as much as i can locally and buy the rest online - you're right, it is hell on earth.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/11/2007 21:45

Greenwich is lovely but don't know Canada Water so well - have done a few trips to Canary Wharf (Docklands Museum is great for anyone with LOs and shopping good too...)

Sputnik · 19/11/2007 21:46

I was actually quite young in 1976 . I revisited Burnham afew years ago with my sister and DH, in december. god it was windy. He couuldn't get over how mad we were to walk miles in the freezing wind to look at the beach
