I wish DH could see this bit, but he's always at work and somehow it just doesn't happen at weekends, we're not following the usual routine.

trace2 · 28/11/2007 16:41

lol jammy you not telling me where you came from, yes i understand dh now sees chloe and says how he missed out on ds cos he always came home wrong time,

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/11/2007 16:46

Sorry Trace, did you want to know where I grew up? Norwich. Sorry, I'm confused, not that it takes much

annobalthebignosereindeer · 28/11/2007 16:46

Well done for Chloe .

Had a lovely meet up today. I made it back to SE3 by the 'skin of my teeth' in time for nursery pick up.

LOL at the baby vac Fairy! Might be needing one of those to get the maltesers out of DS2's nose .

Daisy, your hair sounds great - post a pic on facebook so we can see it. I'm thinking of doing a short cut but don't know if I dare...

DS1's nursery teacher spoke to me today as DS is a king in the play. He wouldn't reherse today as he was 'too tired to walk to Bethlehem' (LOL lazy little git)

trace2 · 28/11/2007 16:49

lol it dont take much for me either to get confussed,

glad you all had good meet up would love to meet you all

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 28/11/2007 16:57

well done chloe!!!! Trace, it would be lovely to meet you too.

Annobal - glad you made it back in time, I hope Foxy did too.

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 17:07

wey hey for Chloe . that's brilliant trace, I'm so pleased for her (and you). What do the meds do? Are they to control her fits? and is there a risk of side effects?

I'll get some pics uploaded later....DD and I have been mucking about with the self timer.

Trace, how are you fixed for next week sometime? Do you want to try meeting up again?

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 17:09

sounds like you all had a good meet-up. How were all the babies? interested in each other at all?

trace2 · 28/11/2007 17:12

daisy yes i would love to meet and yes they are surposed to stop the fits, shes having some kind of night things going on now shes doing a repetative movement with her head and body and if she gets a rash we have to take her straight to a&e even if its nothing just incase

trace2 · 28/11/2007 17:14

got it today i dare not start her with it

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 17:19

how about same time, same place on Monday? 10:30 in M&S wasn't it?

I hope the meds work for her trace, I really do. I'm sure it's very scary. Have you talked to anyone on the SN boards? There is bound to be someone on there who has felt similar about their DCs medication and who can maybe help to re-assure you a little.

great news about Chloe Trace!

meet up was great. got back in plenty of time.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/11/2007 19:45

Bet you do miss DD, MHC How long is she away?

My DD isn't saying much either. Nor is she moving. But she is cute And she did the classic child thing this afternoon of ignoring all her toys and playing with the cardboard box my Book People order had come in.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/11/2007 19:47

I haven't read ANY Dr Seuss (though sure I will sometime in the next few years) but I do like this

Dr. Seuss Explains Why Computers Sometimes Crash

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted at a very last resort,
and the access of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report.

If your cursor finds a menu item followed by a dash
and the double-clicking icon puts your window in the trash;
and your data is corrupted cause the index doesn't hash,
then your situation's hopeless and your system's gonna crash!

If the label on the cable on the table at your house
says the network is connected to the button on your mouse,
but your packets want to tunnel to another protocol,
that's repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall,
and your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss,
til your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse;
then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang,
'cuz sure as I'm a poet, the sucker's gonna hang!

When the copy of your floppy's getting sloppy in the disk
and the macrocode instructions cause unnecessary risk,
then you'll have to flash the memory and you'll want to RAM your ROM.
Quickly turn off the computer and be sure to tell your Mom!

Evening chicks!

Really sorry I haven't sorted this secret santa thingy yet. My dp is doing the choosing and emailing, so I have had to tie him down and get him to do it. It is done, he just needs to send the emails, which hopefully he will do this evening.

He has set up an email address just for this- [email protected]. Please forgive his sense of humour, he is liable to offend!

Right, off to catch up xx

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 28/11/2007 20:42

Thank you Holly's DP. I will await my email.

Andiem, what was the name of that hotel in Portugal - I'm keen to have a look as a possibility for our hol next year

Sputnik · 28/11/2007 20:57

We are massive Dr Seuss fans in this house.

thanks Badz, nice to know I'm appreciated
could do with it today too as I'm on my own, DH is away for the next 10 days. So far we are coping, bedtime went ok, just another 9 to go!

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 21:02

where are we all? watching Gok no doubt. I love that show!

Hi holly, how's you? I hope things went OK yesterday and your BF and family are doing allright.

foxythesnowman · 28/11/2007 21:37

Mmm, I wish Gok was my friend!

Didn't she look amazing?

Is anyone else having trouble with MN tonight? might be time for another rhyme from our Daisy!

Sputnik · 28/11/2007 21:41

I'm here!

Trace meant to say that my DS has only got into holding and investigating things relatively recently, so Chloe isn't really behind in that respect I don't think. Let us know how the new meds go.

Sputnik · 28/11/2007 21:57

yep, me too

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 28/11/2007 22:05

Oh ffs, did I miss HTLGN? I love that show, I want Gok to be my friend too, he is the bestest!

My dp has done some of the secret santa emails, he will do some more in a bit. He is being very sneaky about it!

We are ok thanks daisy. My bf was ok, but was a v emotional funeral. I have never had a grandad and I used to see hers all the time when we were growing up. He was a bit like a surrogate grandad to me. Such a lovely man .

How is your mum?

I haven't really had a chance to catch up, so I hope everyone else is well.

foxythesnowman · 28/11/2007 22:19

So Holly, how did you persuade DP to get the Secret Santa sorted?

annobalthebignosereindeer · 28/11/2007 22:23

Evening all! Holly, I'm so sorry - funerals are never fun.

I got my secret santa, thanks to Holly's dp - am now racking my brains (or what is left of them after 3 children) for what to get. Are there any rules to buying?

Right, am going to have to go to bed. I went to a wine tasting with a friend tonight and am half cut . I can recommend some nice red burgadys though...
