Dressing gown-burning therapy works then . Will bear that in mind, althoough I don't really have a dressing gown, usually use a long cardi that has seen better days.

May i suggest [http://www.irissilks.com/store/item.asp?ITEM_ID=259&DEPARTMENT_ID=45 this] as a replacement, especially for those special moments when you wake up in a, ahem, combative mood?

Sputnik · 28/11/2007 11:23

Fark, this even

BadZelda · 28/11/2007 11:53

LOL that might work at that.
Have to say I highly recommend incineration for stuff that bothers you in life. Judging from the smell of burning plastic that was wafting around our garden, giving them to the charity shop wouldn't have done potential owners any favours (that is if people would actually BUY a second-hand dressing gown?)

Sputnik · 28/11/2007 12:57

Do try not to incinerate your family on impulse though won't you, however bothersome

Sputnik · 28/11/2007 13:02

I actually bought a (plain, black) dressing gown from that site a few years ago. they seem to be up for the web's cheesiest model shots award though, this is me and DH of a morning

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/11/2007 13:11

I was a bit worried by the pics on that site. They seem to suggest that the wearers have a lot of trouble keeping the robes from falling off or even keeping them done up, which does not give me confidence that the product will be a good fit, or be made to a high quality

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/11/2007 13:12

Haven't made it out for the health walk after all, despite my best intentions Will go out withh DD later though, I promise

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 13:17

Oooh Sputnik, how did you get your boobs to stay that pert after 2 children? I never realised you were such a glamour-puss

afternoon all.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/11/2007 13:19

Hi Daisy, how goes it?

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 13:25

so so....am just off out far a haircut as I resemble a scarecrow with straw like split ends. She will be cross as I've been cutting my fringe myself again

BadZelda · 28/11/2007 13:25

I promise never to incinerate my family... just inanimate objects (ok, I won't incinerate DH after he's been out drinking either.

I'm quite appalled by that picture!

Sputnik · 28/11/2007 13:28

daisy they are actually plastic cones made from an old yogurt pot

BadZelda · 28/11/2007 14:16

you know Sputnik, I really appreciate your sense of humour. If you lived in South London you'd have me beating down your door on a regular basis

andiemisletoe · 28/11/2007 14:27

sputnik I too was going to make a comment about the pertness of your breasts but everyone beat me to it
do you and dh answer the door like that ?

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 28/11/2007 15:24

Hi all. Had a lovely meet up with Annobal, Foxy and their lovely and well-behaved DCs.

Foxy - you didn't believe me, here is the ultimate vacuum cleaner attachment

BadZelda · 28/11/2007 15:30

I don't believe that. Surely would remove their little brains? I certainly wouldn't stick a vacuum cleaner up my nose! Must be a wind-up?

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 28/11/2007 15:34

A hungarian friend told me about them - very popular there apparently.... but not something I'd like to try!

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 15:57

LOL fairy......how to give your child a lifelong fear of the dyson

I've thwarted my little DD and she doesn't know what to make of it; I've had all my shoulder length hair chopped off into a funky bob just below my ears. What a change...I look about 10 years younger....

40 instead of 50

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 28/11/2007 15:58

hooray for funky Daisy!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/11/2007 16:06

Well, we missed the official health walk this afternoon, but we did go for a 3 mile walk around town, plus we did about 2 miles this morning, so I don't feel too guilty.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/11/2007 16:07

DD is already terrified of the hoover.
And yes, funky hair is the way to go!

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 16:15

Now all I need is some purple highlights

Saw another doctor today and have got some more thrush medication. The stuff I got on Monday was the wrong dose, so I took in the BfN leaflet and have educated one of our GPs in the practice about it! He took notes and everything

My back isn't as sore today though, whihc is a GOOD THING.

DS is at a mates for tea tonight, so it's just me and DD...it feels really odd!

trace2 · 28/11/2007 16:21

Am I from round your parts Trace? I'm in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Well didn't grow up here, but it's where I live now.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/11/2007 16:27

I think this si my favourite part of the day, when DD kicks about bare-bottomed on the changing mat, blowing raspberries, smiling loads, and looking and sounding very cute
