OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
foxythesnowman · 23/11/2007 22:06

I shall be using that one in the morning, and claiming it as my own! Thanks BZDD1!

DaisyNightingale · 23/11/2007 22:19

MY DS came out with this one the other day;

what sort of bees make milk? BOO-bees

glad someone noticed my pun Sputnik I was beginning to think my talents were wasted on here!

I put some canesten on my itchy nips, and it has calmed down a bit. Looks like I have thrush, again. coincidently 10 weeks after ABs, just like the last time. I've also got a bugger of a sore throat

DaisyNightingale · 23/11/2007 22:24

Right, am off to cover every square inch of me in various anti-fungal concoctions (what an attractive specimen I am) and force my DH to cuddle me in spite of my general cheesiness.

maybe DDs rash is thrush as well then ?

BadZelda · 23/11/2007 22:34

I have to admit if completely passed me by. And here was I thinking my brain was starting to come back online Damn!

BadZelda · 23/11/2007 22:36

Sorry about the sore bits Daisy ...I guess getting him to rub canesten on you wouldn't be that erotic

BadZelda · 23/11/2007 22:37

it.. it. drat. right. I am off to bed now - night ladies!

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 16:09

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 24/11/2007 16:48

BadZelda · 24/11/2007 17:28

yo laydeeez how's it hanging?

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 24/11/2007 17:43

Been to an NCT sale today and bought:

a lilac bumbo
a mamas & papas travel cot
an m & p rocking sheep (like this but a sheep)
some books incl "that's not my dolly" and "that's not my snowman"
some finger puppets
some breastmilk freezer bags
a breastfeeding book
and various toys

all for £47! And in return for volunteering for a few hours.

Daisy I hope DD is better. sorry about the fluff. Any news on your mum?

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 17:45

shite...I've definately got thrush and it's now in my ducts. DH has just gone to get me some fluconazole from the chemist...it cost £10 as I can't get to the docs till Monday.

feeding has been a nightmare today, with mr having to take DD off after five minutes cos the itchiness (like hot pins and needles) has been unbearable. It's only in one boob though, so far.

Just when I think things are getting easier

bumper, i saw your thread about enjoying the bfing...good for you girly

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 24/11/2007 17:45

Hi BZ. how's it all going?

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 24/11/2007 17:48

should you make sure you just feed from that boob and express the other to stop it spreading? what a pile of shite! Thing are much better for me and DD though the last couple of days she has been coming off and arching her back

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 17:49

good haul of bargains there bumper.

ds has just screamed in dd's ear, the little shite . he wants on the computer, and asked "when will you be DONE?", with the done at high volume in DDs ear. He realised instantly it was a no no and is now cowering upstairs.

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 24/11/2007 18:40

Oh dear, bad MRR. At least he knew he was wrong though. Is DD alright?

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 18:45

She's fine....when he came downstairs for tea, she was really grinning at him.

She had roughly mashed up potato with beef stew for tea tonight. she loved it, but she blows raspberries all the time while eating, and I think she's copying us blowing the food to cool it. Means we all get sprayed with food, but hey it's fun

You've got capitals!

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 24/11/2007 19:11

a brief interlude of not holding/feeding the baby. it didn't last!

foxythesnowman · 24/11/2007 20:10

Lordy, quiet here tonight!

All I have to look forward to tonight is hunting out DPs USB cable for his MP3 player ... if you don't talk to me ...

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 20:14

aw foxy.....I'll talk to you for a bit

I sent you a long and rambling e-mail earlier...well you did ask how I was

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 24/11/2007 20:23

Cooeee. Just popping in for a bit. DD will be in bed soon then I should really put the 'puter away and try and converse with DH! Oh, and eat some ice cream!

foxythesnowman · 24/11/2007 20:27

ooh, haven't checked my email Daisy, but I MUST find this cable.

And I'm creating a big pile of 'toys to go' in the middle of the living room after seeing my living room through fresh eyes following my FB pics!

Of course, getting bugger all done and am on here now.

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 20:34

LOL foxy, there was I thinking "oh, I'm not the only one with cluttered shelves"

We need to do a huge clear out. DS has far too much stuff, to the point that I have no real ideas for Christmas. He doesn't need anything, but I shamefully spoiled him rotten for the last five years and he is definately a product of the consumer culture. I'm trying to be a bit more ethical and consume less (partly a realisation that the world can only sustain so much rubbish, but partly cos we are skint and have been too frivolous for too long), but he doesn't really understand.

We need to gather it up and car boot it all before Christmas though, but with me being away, it hasn't really happened.

foxythesnowman · 24/11/2007 20:45

YIPEEEE! Found the cable. Am now off the hook and can sit on here!

We're like you Daisy, a product of consumerism. To the point DD1 watches TV and says "want that" at the ads....

when the very thing she 'wants' is open on the floor in front of her, played with 10 minutes ago!

Its a single satsuma for that little girls Christmas this year!

foxythesnowman · 24/11/2007 20:45

BTW no email yet Daisy. Checked FB and hotmail

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 20:50

foxy, I've had problems with you and emails before....i don't think yahoo and hotmail like talking to each other very much
