foxythesnowman · 24/11/2007 21:25

aww, thanks Sputnik

Sputnik · 24/11/2007 21:29

We also have that same ikea square basket plus assorted toys on the living room shelves. The floor looks like an explosion iin a toy shop.

foxythesnowman · 24/11/2007 21:31

O God! You're all looking at my scruffy lounge!

Sputnik · 24/11/2007 21:31

She has really lovely eyes. I love looking at everyone's baby pics.

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 21:34

not telling now, you'll all just have to wonder...since no-one noticed.

(actually my e-mail was bouced back to me, and I copied and pasted the reason here, inadvertantly posting your e-mail address in the process. I asked for my post to be deleted as you might not want your e-mail address plastered on t'internet for all to see )

Sputnik · 24/11/2007 21:38

Well you mentioned it! Wouldn't have thought of it otherewise. Don't worry, ours is worse (think halfway through rewiring, replastering desperatly in need of repainting.....)

foxythesnowman · 24/11/2007 21:43

lucky you can't see the rest of the room!

foxythesnowman · 24/11/2007 21:48

So Daisy, why didn't I get your email? Have you re-sent it?

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 21:51

apparently your ISP doesn't accept mail from my ISP;

"Remote host said: 550 SC-004 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for
policy reasons. A block has been placed against your IP address because
we have received complaints concerning mail coming from that IP
address."

I'll resend it...or accept it as divine intervention that I shouldn't be so long-winded.

Right am off to talk to DH. G'night.

DaisyNightingale · 24/11/2007 21:52

sorry, paste it onto facebook or something, no point re-sending it

foxythesnowman · 25/11/2007 13:09

lurky-lurky

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 25/11/2007 13:10

helloooo

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 25/11/2007 13:12

Foxy, just being nosey, what did you do for a living before having your dcs? Have you always been a SAHM with them?

foxythesnowman · 25/11/2007 14:02

Somehow, Bumper, I managed an HR career in The City. Never quite sure how I pulled it off, but got away with it for quite some time! Left work as soon as I could in my pregnancy (basically as soon as I could get benefits!) and that was 6 years ago.

I'll probably only go back to a proper job when/if we have school fees to pay. Its not that I'm a Yummy Mummy, but DP is away alot, and someone needs to be consistent for the children.

And we'll probably have another baby anyway !

Why do you ask? Any reason? Don't worry if you are just nosey I don't mind.

How's your weekend going?

andiemisletoe · 25/11/2007 14:27

hi everyone sorry for absence but we are the house of illness at the moment
ds1 has recovered from vomiting but ds2 has bad cold and has been crying a lot at night which is very unlike him. I am exhausted as the longest sleep I have had is 3hours in the last 4 days. We are supposed to be going to a bar mitzvah tonight but have cried off

ds2 is also sooo hungry he is 22 weeks now do you think it would be awful to give him some food??? daisy I know you have was going to do blw but at this rate will be feeding every 2hrs day and night for the next 3 months and don't think I can hack it I really don't want to give formula and a bit of food seems not so bad iyswim

he has been feeding every 2 to 3 hrs day and night for the past 2 weeks and I am completely exhausted now
sorry for whingy me me me post but am starting to crack

foxythesnowman · 25/11/2007 14:30

poor Andiem! We all have our moments, hang on in there, you are doing a great job. Sorry to hear you are exhausted. Definately a good idea to give tonight a miss. You need some rest!

If you think food is the way to go, do it! Remember we weaned at 4 months not so long ago, and it didn't do any harm then!

Hope you get some sleep soon!

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 25/11/2007 14:34

Just wondering really. I know what most of the others do on here but you never mentioned what you did. and it probably doesn't bother you but it bothers me that no-one at any of the baby groups I go to asks me what i do for a living. or if they do it's "what did you used to do?" . It's nice every now and then to have a reminder that once upon a time we were valued for something other than our spit-up mopping up capabilities and our dummy catching reflexes!

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 25/11/2007 14:38

Andie, hang in there, you are doing a brilliant job. this phase can't last forever! I'm not sure if weaning will help, you probably know better than i do. do whatever you think is best hope you get more zzzzz soon!

andiemisletoe · 25/11/2007 14:40

and my dh has gone out to fly his helicopter leaving me alone again aagh men !
sorry may try a bit of mush and see what happens I keep telling myself only 4 weeks till 26 weeks but he is a big boy and loves his feeds all is forgiven when he smiles at me at 3 in the morning

foxy how's the clearing out going? me mrs ocd so bit minimalist in our house except playroom and ds1 bedroom (playroom makes us sound posh tis only small and was originaaly the integral garage )
