Morning everyone.

I am still PMSL at the pirate wine Z! My dd calls gin "Grandma's special juice"!

TA, if you are lurking keep in touch and hope your new job is going well.

I PROMISE I shall get the secret santa sorted TODAY! I have been so busy and I never get much time on here anymore. I will make sure it is sorted by the end of the day.

LOL re your pirate wine BZ - we all know that you have it on your cornflakes

Andie, you poor thing up every 2 hours - enjoy your haircut.

Bumper and Jammy have a great meet up.

We had a terrible night here - DS1 was up at 4.30 and got really upset and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm not sure what's wrong - he was upset about behaving badly yesterday so don't know if it was that or being generally unwell . He's now asleep though. And DS3 has a cold so he's gone back to sleep.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 21/11/2007 10:16

BZ about the sanctuary - it is lovely and you can't go far wrong. A friend of mine swears by Bliss but I've never been. I have booked deals on lastminute.com before which have been fun. The best was The Landmark (at Marlebone) for a friend's hen party - it was fab!

Elsbells · 21/11/2007 10:31

BZ hope the pirates wine for roasting pear wasn't for weaning purposes - ha ha BTW Sanctuary is GREAT. Perfect Pressie and in such a nice part of town during Xmas with lights in the Sq, and Monmouth St. Just getting there will make your BF happy.

Thank you all for some wise words re RL friend. I am still trying to decide to continue biting my tongue (she's made quite a few "comments" about my DS lately it's getting both comical and annoying) or do I tell her calmly how I feel. Or (worse case) I keep biting my tongue and explode one day.

Hmmm decisions

Daisy, I gather your mom isn't too well. I am really sorry to hear about that. Hope you are not too down.

Annobel sorry that the little ones are not too well.

Whoever else is out there - HI

BadZelda · 21/11/2007 11:58

Hello there - taking a break; my head is throbbing! Feels good to use brain for a bit though.
I will book the Sanctuary then. The next question: for just her, or a nice day out for the two of us? Will it seem less like a present for her if I go with her, or will she get lonely / bored if she's there by herself? I'm a bit of a stranger to spa type stuff, though I know she loves that kind of thing.

BadZelda · 21/11/2007 11:59

And the roasted pear with rum and honey was for me and DH...not the children (though I think the alcohol had evaporated off it after cooking)

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 12:11

Tricky decision BZ. I took my sister to a spa for her birthday a coupleof years back. I knowshe'd have been lonely on her own. But I am quite tempted to go on my own someday, but maybe that's just me?

Love the idea of pirate wine btw. Our extensive booze coolection is currently on the floor. I keep thinking we need to get some shelving sorted before DD gets crawling and into it. Either that or we should drink it

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 12:33

Bumper - I've just had an idea for tomorrow. what do you think of going to the designer outlet place? It might be easier driving/parking etc for you (?), and it'll be undercover if it's miserable. I've never been there but am told it's OK. Either there (meet in the food court?) or at M&S as you suggested in town are fine with me. Can you mail me to confirm which you'd prefer? And 11 sounds a good time.

BadZelda · 21/11/2007 13:54

Wow...looked into Sanctuary more...it's 65 just to hang out there for a day and doesn't include any treatments. Wouldn't that be kind of boring? Actually I think I'd be precisely the wrong person to go with her...that kind of thing just doesn't relax me at all. Hmm

foxythesnowman · 21/11/2007 14:17

Thats crap BZ. I went to Nuttfield Priory last time. I'm sure they do day packages and is dead easy to get to by train (its in Redhill, we went direct from Clapham Jnc) It was lovely and not as expensive as some.

BadZelda · 21/11/2007 15:30

Hi Foxy - how's your day going?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 17:51

Just been chatting with my brother. he is going to Cuba tomorrow to visit his girlfriend.

But DH is bringing me home some Ben & Jerry's (It's on offer in Tesco)

annobalthebignosereindeer · 21/11/2007 19:39

Go with her BZ and make a real day of it, that way she gets a double present of the sanctuary and you all to herself for the day.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 21/11/2007 19:42

Try lastminute.com - they have good deals, especially for 2.

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 21/11/2007 19:58

All this talk of spa days ....oh I'd love a sauna and jacuzzi......

No-one around tonight?

annobalthebignosereindeer · 21/11/2007 19:59

Hi Norty, I'm here

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 20:03

I'm here now I've hung all the washing up to dry

BadZelda · 21/11/2007 20:05

I am too...fingers crossed both the DCs are down for the night. I did have a look on lastminute, Annobal...didn't see any sanctuary offers, but I'm sure they come up all the time so I'll keep looking I reckon. I did feel seriously guilty as the same friend took me to Ragdale Hall as a pre-wedding present, and although I tried my HARDEST not to I couldn't help taking the piss out of the whole gliding-round-in-dressing-gowns thing...

annobalthebignosereindeer · 21/11/2007 20:08

Just finished the ironing. We're thinking of going to oz for January. It is bloody expensive though and would put our moving over there back a bit.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 20:08

I've got a voucher from MIL & FIL for my birthday for a place in Oxford. I'm going to book for a lovely facial. Just need to work out a date when DH can look after DD so I can go off on my own for a few hours in peace.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 20:09

Where in Oz are you going?

annobalthebignosereindeer · 21/11/2007 20:10

Adelaide. It would be lovely and dh could do some networking

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 21/11/2007 20:12

Evening all

When I finished work in May, the department bought me a voucher for a manicure and pedicure (£100 would you believe) at a local hotel and it was fab - especially as I was 37 weeks pg and had great big fat sausage feet .....unfortunately, a week later it was being hurriedly removed by a nurse in preparation for a crash CS ....still, the pampering was lovely

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 21/11/2007 20:12

I'm here too!

Finally got both the dcs to sleep. I've had one of those days when you think "Why did I have kids?"! They have both been moaning and screaming all day.

Dp has gone to the pub to watch footie, so I can watch Gok and play on pc at the same time! Hooray!

I will post a list of the people I have for the secret santa in a sec. Is there anyone else around who wants to join in?
