Wow that looks good Jammy!

and well done Fairy for organising a night out!

We could all inspire each other with some ideas?!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 20/11/2007 22:00

Well I go back to (part time) work on Feb 4th, so I guess that'll be some me time. Have managed a few nights out though, inc one with DH, so shouldn't complain too much. Have insisted we go to his company's Xmas do, even though it sounds a bit naff (James Bond themed dinner thing). But it'll be a night out together

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 20/11/2007 22:03

But for now I am worn out, rubbing my eyes like another little girl I know does when she is tired. So off to bed for me, and I promise not to cry about it.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 20/11/2007 22:07

N'night Jammy.

justbeme · 20/11/2007 22:15

Oh well, night all, Annobal, you'll have to tell me your ideas and inspire me!
x

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 20/11/2007 22:16

Ooo Jammy, some friends of ours went there recently and said it was amazing - lucky you!

I will let you know if I come up with any more me-time ideas.... The only other thing that I've done is book myself on a photography evening course from January. I am also toying with the idea of doing a more serious course in something which could lead to a new career, but haven't really looked into anything seriously yet - a new year project perhaps.

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 20/11/2007 22:17

I'd better go too, night everyone

annobalthebignosereindeer · 20/11/2007 22:21

I'm going to do an alternative therapies course. I'll probably leave it until we get to oz but I may start in January. I'm not sure if I want a career in it but I know it is a direction I want to go in.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 20/11/2007 22:22

Ooh, I also have a Sanctuary evening i need to use before February .

Night all.

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 20/11/2007 22:22

Quick one for me - Annobal....we are "friends"...initials are GD

Restaurant looks lovely Jammy

Yeah shame bout TA...hope to meet with her soon

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 08:14

Morning. Alternative therapies sounds good Annobal, and I am of Sanctuary evening. Photography course also sounds good Fairy. I am considering an Open University photography course. I'm sure I will do it some time over the next year, but may give it a few more months yet, at least let me get used to being back to work before I take anything more on.

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 21/11/2007 08:30

Loving all your courses and things that you are doing. I really feel an urge to do something new at the moment but don't have the money or time. Plus I can be a bit faddy with things.

I'd love to do an alternative therapies course. I did a reiki course a few years back but didn't keep it up. I think one day I would like to train to be a yoga teacher, but at the moment I can't even find the motivation to do my own yoga practice I might start salsa classes soon though!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 08:40

morning Bumper!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 08:42

What's the plan for tomorrow then?

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 21/11/2007 08:44

Good morning Jammy, Bumper, annobal and any lurkers. am very of your Sanctuary evening annobal, I LOVE it there (meet up anyone...?).

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 08:44

Hi Fairy

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 21/11/2007 09:05

Morning all

Off to baby clinic today to get DD weighed...she hasn't been weighed since last jabs when she was 14lb so will be interesting. Last time I'll be able to take her to clinic as I'll be working Wednesdays from now on

Hope everyone had good nights.?....DD slept from 6.45pm - 7.30am with one wake-up for a dummy and daddy heard her and went into her

can you tell thats a first

Back later - have good days x

NotAWorrier · 21/11/2007 09:09

Morning everyone

I was thinking of buying my BF a sanctuary voucher, as she's been such a super star with babysitting and generally being v. supportive. Is Sanctuary the best, or is there somewhere nicer? What's the best approach - throw sixty quid at it, and let her choose treatments, or something a bit more specific?

JBM: do it! You'll feel so much more refreshed if you give yourself a break and a little me time...though maybe you're not as selfish as me - I need it at least once a week or I start going into meltdown. Though I think that's maybe the intenseness of having both of them all week. Anyway today is 'me day' so once breakfast is done and they're all out of the house it's on with the writing.

DD1 really made me laugh this morning. They were both awake at 5.45 and I managed to get them back to sleep. Then I woke again at 8.30 (!) only to discover DD1 had been rampaging around for a while. On asking her what she's been up to she said 'I have had 5 biscuits and been playing with your pirate wine' - turned out she meant a bottle of rum which had been left on the kitchen counter...but I did laugh at her coinage. It will forever be pirate wine to me now!

BadZelda · 21/11/2007 09:10

oops that'll be me then.

andiemisletoe · 21/11/2007 09:16

morning all another sleepless night in the misletoe household ds2 was up 5 times for feeds and I fed him loads in the day I keep telling myself tis only 4 weeks and he will be 26 weeks
dh got up with him at 06.30 and dropped ds1 at schoool so I got a lie in ooh I love having him back [tingly emotcion]

I can't do next wed but could do wed after if anyone is around and putney is fine by me

might take ds2 to be weighed this pm to see how we are doing he certainly feels and looks bigger ha ha ha

jammy le manoir is fab don't try to book a room though the cheapest is £650 a night and that only includes continental breakfast if you want cooked it is an extra £22
we were going to go next year for our 15th anniversary but I am not prepared to pay that much for B&B

anyway off for haircut shopping this am
catch up later

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 21/11/2007 09:22

It would only be lunch at le manoir, no thoughts of overnight stays

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 21/11/2007 09:30

Hope you get lots of writing done today BZ & a nice break.

Andie, I really feel for you being up all night. I hope LO calms down a bit when weaning.

Jammy still on for tomorrow? Where you suggested is great or alternatively the M&S has a cafe? Not be there though. 11 is good for me. Haven't driven into the town for a while though & it's a bitch for driving so if I am late I'm probably ;ost or stuck going round the magic roundabout! TA too, but we are meeting up in a couple of weeks. Dragging the DHs along too!

andiemisletoe · 21/11/2007 09:33

bumper he is just a biiig hungry boy
I am ok for a couple of days then it hits home and I droop a bit feel fine today after my lie in though

BadZelda · 21/11/2007 09:53

And I've just realised how dodgy it looks that I've left a bottle of rum around...2 caveats: 1) she wouldn't be able to open it.
..I think and 2) I was using it for cooking (roasted pears) honest!

BadZelda · 21/11/2007 09:54

Right they've gone. If you see me on here today except at lunchtime tell me to peeeeee offff!
