Lets all get typing just to annoy frizbe

Spoent all day today settng up for the school xmas fayre, and then am doing my stall all day tomorrow, and clearing up afterwards. I'm gpoing to have a cup of tea now, hen launch into wrapping all the xmas pressies, as my Dad might be down soon, so he'll take the ones for everyone up north home with him to save m postage!

Apparently I have a xmas card sent to mum's house, from ex MIL

Jas · 23/11/2007 20:37

Well there is nothing on tv, so I'll be here fo awhile.

I hope it all goes well tomorrow Frizbe.

DD2 isn't well. She went to bed at 5. That is unheard of for her. She was flat out asleep by 6, but I'm expecting her to be up in the night, as her temp keeps spiking.
I had to put a video on for ds to stop him screaming and waking her up when he went up. He's still awake chatting to dd1 now.

All my pressies have gone to my mum and dads, and all the joists are in upstairs.

mrm - I go the diary from you mum, yesterday, thanks. It's going in her socking.

EachPeachPearMum · 23/11/2007 21:22

I'm here, but going to have an early night- haven't felt too good today, and have a big post-natal group meet-up tomorrow- very excited, haven't seen some of them for 6 months, as its very difficult to meet now most of us are back at work.

Friz- hope this weekend goes well!

for all the poorly los! Just seems to be one after the other at the moment.

Tis very cold here tonight- maybe we'll have snow again? Yay!

Flamesparrow · 23/11/2007 21:58

Not reading - buried under a pile of nappies, exhausted and pissed off, so just saying where i am

mustrunmore · 24/11/2007 09:31

Oh, poor dd2.

Glad the diary arrived. What's it like? Is it ok?

I fell asleep putting ds1 to bed last niht.
Got 4 hrs on a stall at the school fayre today, plus clearing up. Ds1 has got £4 to spend because he's 4. Its in the last ever breastmilk bag that I own! Ds2 has got £2, but I'm not sure what he'll spend it on really!

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/11/2007 14:09

Hope the opening is going well Friz, and the fayre too mrm.

Had a lovely night out last night, but didn't get back til midnight, and was then settling dd for half an hour, and she decided to get up at 5:30. Am rather zombified today. Was intending to nap when dd did, but she had it whilst I was at the hairdressers, so I lucked out.

How is dd2 today Jas?

Phoenix · 24/11/2007 19:35

Hello,

Friz - How did the grand opening go?

for all the poorly mummies and babies.

csws - for the night out, for tiredness.

Flame - Are you still buried under piles of nappies?

Jas - for joists been in and pressies wrapped. I haven't done any yet but all my cards are wrote now, i finished them off last night.

We're TTC sort of but me not having periods/ovulating again isn't helping matters lol.

We're taking ds here tomorrow, I can't wait, i'm like a big kid at christmas

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/11/2007 20:33

Play mastermind Phoenix!

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/11/2007 21:18

In-laws have offered to buy dd a farmyard for Christmas. Anyone seen a better one than this?

Since no-one seems to be around at the moment, I'm going to go and watch tv in bed and go to sleep early.

Jas · 24/11/2007 21:46

The farmyard looks ok, but it only has 4 animals! That is not good. Every set of things like that the dds have evr had, the buildings have been lon discarded, but the animals/people are played with for years.

DD2 is still not great, but not as poorly as yesterday. Dp seriously paniced when I left her with him to do the shopping today. She couldn't cach her breah when coughing and was in a bit of a state. OK now, though.

I'm off to watch CSI. If it is a repeat I will be back....

Jas · 24/11/2007 22:06

I've seen it.

Does your farm have to be wooden? I've found nice ones, bu all out of stock.
Here is a playmobil one It is £50 new, but I can't get a direst link to it.

EachPeachPearMum · 24/11/2007 22:38

what, you mean better than this? LOL

Well, we know a few people who have this and it is really good fun playing with it- kept dd amused for hours!

EachPeachPearMum · 24/11/2007 22:40

Anyone want a fresh-from-the-oven banana muffin?
yummy!

Jas · 25/11/2007 08:07

eppm. No banana muffin thanks. I'm having flapack instead.

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/11/2007 08:07

Yes please to the muffin!

We already have lots of animals Jas, hence the desire for the farmyard .

Little People one is very plastic, so it's a definite no, and I just knew you'd link to the other EPPM .

Up from 4am to 5:30am again .

mustrunmore · 25/11/2007 09:46

You do realise you're going to give in to plastic, dont you csws? Everyonr starts off wityh high ideals of lovely wooden toys. But one day you wont be the one choosing, and dd will request all sorts of plastic crap! Trust me, I've been there

I've managed to scrape together 25 friends for facebook

Flame, I need to know the plan for mn night ie when you're arriving!

Jas · 25/11/2007 10:22

Yes. just as the dds are leaving the drowning-in-plastic hell. DS is entering it.

I guess if you don't need more animals csws then the one you linked to is fine. There was a nice one that all fited inside itself to put away.

mustrunmore · 25/11/2007 10:29

Ooo, hello Jas.
I spent from 5.30pm to 11pm last night wrapping xmas pressies, and still not done the boys. There were a few things that required effort, eg covering a shoe box to make a gift box. And I had to sort it all out first, and rewrite my lists as i went. But even so
I'm gutted too. I've just added up the total spent. Even given the fact that I got almost all of it in the sales last January, and the boys 2 main presssies were off freecycle, I've still spent £170.40

Flamesparrow · 25/11/2007 12:46

I'll see Psycho tomorrow and email you with probable plans then

UniS · 25/11/2007 20:31

wooden schumden. you may try but the plastic creeps in and is much loved by small people.
Not ttc here either. one is quiet enough of a handful. just back from weekend with in laws! seems we are in good books as we have a boy to continue teh family name. Dhs cousins are being nagged by tehir mum coz they all have girls. I didn;t expect to hear my MiL talking about some elses IVF or not plans at the dinner table! she has NO tact. dread to think what she says about us when we arn;t there.
Boy spend 5 mins in their garden and got dog sht on both shoes and the pedals of his tractor- GRrrrrrr. I hate it when people leave dog sht on their lawn to disolve. Only sligty better than leaving it on the verge or pavement. Mind you I dont; like dogs either and PiL's dog is particulary shitty example of teh specis.

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/11/2007 21:08

I don't mind having some plastic, but where there's a choice of essentially the same object in either, I would choose wood, and for the time being, it's my choice!

Better watch out UniS - there are some dog lovers on this thread (not me I hasten to add)!

Dd still not asleep, despite putting her to bed aaaaaages ago. She's just standing in her cot going 'mummy, mummy, mummmeeeee', and every time I go and see her, she wants extra feeding, but there doesn't seem to be a point where she'll actually stop and decide that she's had enough. We tried to give her medised but she spat it all out . She's quite hoarse from her coughing.

Dh is at least here to help, as he has manflu, so isn't disappearing in the middle of the night to go to Dublin.

EachPeachPearMum · 25/11/2007 21:35

UniS- bleuch for the poo- not nice!

Have been drowning in poo myself today (sorry- if tmi) but at least it was nicely contained within nappies.
DD is definitely better- she ate like a horse at tea time! Didn't want to stop. Also had a couple of hours of complete monkeyness!

We did the big switch-over from growbags to duvet tonight, but as she hadn't napped all day, I think she was asleep by the time I reached the top of the stairs, so there's not much chance for wriggling out of it!

mustrunmore · 25/11/2007 22:10

I've wrapped all my xmas pressies except 3 (which are the ones my Dad still has to bring down here). God, it was tedious this year!
Ds1 wrapped his one for ds2 and their one for dh, then came down here and said 'Daddy, we've got you a jumper for xmas'

Managed to order the book that ds1 is desperate for Waterstones had n o record of its existence, bur WHSmiths did it no probs Am wondering whether to put it in his stocking (and give ds2 the BFG dvd that was for ds1), or just give it him. He's going t love it! He knows the other one off by heart, word perfectly.
Am also wondering whether there's too many cuddlies in their stockings... they each have a persil Mr Man, a big eyed jungle animal, a puppet, a disney car, and a wooden dangly thing on a spring. Then ds1 has the dvd too. What do you think? (Sorry if thats spoiled the element of suprise for the csws's!!)

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/11/2007 22:21

What book does he want?
Haven't even thought about a stocking for dd - still trying to decide between cow and mouse for the wheelybug. Can you all vote please?!

Phoenix · 25/11/2007 22:28

Uni - We've got a dog and always pick his poo up. It's not a nice thing to do but it has to be done. It annoys me when people don't pick their own dog's up. Dh went out this morning and almost stood in a pile that someone left right outside our garden gate I ended up going out and picking it up

for dd not sleeping csws and dh's manflu. Hope she gives in soon and sleeps all night

Hope everyone's ok
