Hi all. F is still poorly so am just popping in quickly. I need some advice please. F has been on her antibiotics since Friday, they are making her poo like mad and now her poor little bum is red raw. Does anyone have any tips on what I can use to clear it up for her? She has never had this before (neither did ds) so I am not really sure what to try. She normally just gets the zinc and castor oil cream but I dont know if that is going to do anything much with her angry bum. I feel so for her, she is screaming every time I am changing her, and that is a lot as she is pooing every couple of hours (through the night too). Would be grateful for any tips. Makes me want to cry. I have to clean her or her skin will get worse, but what I am doing really hurts her

Hope everyone is ok, sorry havent had chance to catch up at all. Take care all xxx

Blimey, loads of posts!

Hi to Phdlife and Yvie. Good to see you. Yvie, hope you can settle in to a routine and not feel so wiped out by working/motherhood. It is hard.

Tcmummy, delighted to hear Mr ele has been appearing in photos!

Maveta, hope you get something organised for your 30th.

Norma, flash those pants! As IDOC says, some places have disabled changing rooms so you should be ok.

IDOC, I am starting to fret about going back to work and getting both girls fed, ready and dropped off. I think it is going to be manic. What time do you get up to get sorted??

All ok here. Had a good night which was unexpected as B still has a croupy cough. Sent her to school tho - naughty mummy.
I still feel a bit rough, but not as bad as yesterday. And K is asleep on our bed - she seems knackered!

Has anyone heard from Bramshott recently?

Right, laundry needs sorting. Back later lovelies. x

SharpMolarBear · 05/11/2007 11:07

Oh mammyjo that sounds awful Can you take her to the docs or HV, sounds bad enough to need it, and it's horrible that she's in pain

CaptainDippy · 05/11/2007 11:13

Not naughty AT ALL, SOL - I send K to Pre-School this morning with a stinker of a cold, bless her - She wanted to go and who was I to argue!!?

Oh MJ @ F being poorly and having such a sore bottom Hate seeing them suffering, poor loves. If there is no history of nut allergies in your family, can recommend Sweet Almond Oil - fab stuff! Plenty of Sudocreme and "nappy-off" time too - PurePotions is fab stuff too, but quite expensive - worth investing a tub though - I have had mine 2 years and it is only half empty..... Lots of kisses and cuddles too!

CaptainDippy · 05/11/2007 11:16

Ooooh - yes it was lovely to "see" Yvie and PHDLife too! Has anyone seen Yvie's pics on her profile btw - How completely GORGEOUS are Yvie and little Sarai!!!!!? Yvie - you are stunning!!

tcmummy · 05/11/2007 11:20

lol Dippy - I just read "feeling VERY sick..." and thought you were pregnant!! hahahahahaaaa!! Good luck with the party, sounds fun but busy! Lol, you could have borrowed my massive hoard of crockery we've got for T's thanksgiving! I think if we lived close to each other we'd be dangerous!

MJ - poor lil F. We use Kamillosan when T's bum is sore, it's quite gentle so good on stingy soreness iyswim. I'd ditch the wipes for warm water and cotton wool too (you're probably doing that already). And we also find a couple of drops of lavender oil in his bath is a good healer. Hope she gets better soon xx

tcmummy · 05/11/2007 11:22

oooh, just had a look! yvie S is one funky babe Just like her mama

CaptainDippy · 05/11/2007 11:23

tcmummy · 05/11/2007 11:27

tcmummy · 05/11/2007 11:28

CaptainDippy · 05/11/2007 11:30

Ah well - I have a spare breast pump you can borrow if you like!!? Now you HAVE to come down .......

tcmummy · 05/11/2007 11:34

CaptainDippy · 05/11/2007 12:04

Yes I think it was Yvie! how are you SMB, aside from the crawling, pickly, non-sleeping baby, of course!!?

oooggs · 05/11/2007 12:11

eca - maveta - by 30 was in December once 24th and ds1 was 13 days old oh how time flies

hi yvie

just really bookmarking so I don't loose thread after last night

oooggs · 05/11/2007 12:11

my 30th was in December once, its the 24th

CaptainDippy · 05/11/2007 12:16

Ooooggs, my darling,do you realise you just repeated yourself!!?

SharpMolarBear · 05/11/2007 12:17

I'm fine thanks, and the non sleeping baby really isn't that bad! I just like to moan
Did I mention I sorted out my shower problem??? I used to not be able to shower without screaming coming from the bouncy chair / baby nest / moses basket. Well he's now too big for those things so I wasn't sure how I would shower at all. Well, I removed everything baby unfriendly from our bedroom and just put him in there with the door shut and loads of toys. Our shower is in a tiny en suite off our bedroom so I could hear him talking to himself and see him if I leant out, not only is he safe but he doesn't cry either

oooggs · 05/11/2007 12:18

I did it on purpose dippy cos I thought what I wrote the first time didn't make sense

hi katy

SharpMolarBear · 05/11/2007 12:19

meant to ask how you were but got carried away with shower story!
where is my tesco man???

SharpMolarBear · 05/11/2007 12:19

hi oooggs

elkiedee · 05/11/2007 12:20

MJ, sorry to hear about F hurting, that must be hard for you. Not much to suggest other than Sudocreme seems to have avoided D getting too sore, and I don't know what nappies you use - we're using disposables but I like Nature Babies which don't have as many chemicals and perfumes etc in and they're available from Sainsburys and bigger branches of Boots. Asda has its own brand of econappies. Dippy's other suggestion re nappy off time if you can do it sounds good too. Sending soothing vibes.

Now I'm going to dress D to go out to Jolly Babies, hope it doesn't turn out to be another Grizzly Babies day today!|
