WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just had D weighed and he is now 14 lb .5oz at 28 weeks. He was 12lb 4 2 weeks ago so has gained um 12.5oz (Is it 16oz in a lb? ) which is the most ever ever!! I knew he'd chubbed up from all the food and the all night bfing for the last few weeks. Yay

Only downside is I'll now have to put up with comments implying it was my breastmilk and he should have been on solids months ago Um...No, I really dont think so! But nevermind, we dont care! My baby has a double chin

SharpMolarBear · 05/11/2007 16:46

Yaaaay Pesha!! so pleased for you

Octo forgot to say thank you for saying you liked the photo of N on facebook.. he looks so worn out from the effort of eating the banana. little poppet

feeling knackered tonight, i think bit by bit, slowly slowly, the sleepless nights are getting to me. I mean, you get used to it to an extent don't you but I still think you accumulate a little more fatigue everyday. Maybe this weekend we'll ask Mum to take N for the afternoon so we can catch up on some sleep. Hate using up babysitting time on just sleeping though!! I want to go to the cinema! or eat out! or for drinks with friends! but no, definitely, most of all - I WANT TO SLEEP!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 05/11/2007 19:15

hi all
pesha, are you beefing him up ready for me and my little chubbster visiting?

both boys in bed, may not last though!

Cazboldy, are you up for Sunday 18th at Jan's Madhouse?

normabutty · 05/11/2007 20:20

Evening, we've been watching the fireworks from our kitchen! There's a shopping centre nearby and they always have a big display (also turn xmas lights on at the same time) and we can watch through our patio doors (it's not right next door btw ), also our neighbours (both sides) have fireworks too. We also had some sparklers...Erin seemed to think it was fun dh & I had them...but she couldn't have cared less about the fireworks .

Pesha - glad D has gained lots of weight.

Can't remember anything else.

Hmm..have to listen to dh's presentation tonight

paitientpartner · 05/11/2007 20:59

Hey ladies;

Think I have caught up - been away for th weekend- up at dp's aunts farm - had a fab time. Huge bonfire fireworks and plenty of food. C managed to eat.... garlic bread, pizza, onion soup, a hot dog and some home made chips made with potatoes grown at the farm!!! He really is a little eating machine!

Quickly skimmed the "goings on" - didnt really understand it so will make no comment

Pesha - pleased that ds is turning into a little porker!

We are sat watching fireworks from the fromt room as our house overlooks the valley so we can see loads.. poor cat is hiding in the cupboard though as he hates them... he's also sulking as C managed to run him over in his baby walker this afternoon.

Maveta - very of you going to Barcelona - doesnt seem like 5 minutes since we were there, me sporting a rather huge bump...and flip flops

We've been looking at new buggies today- has anyone got any experiences of quinny buzz? I would like one that can face me but not really sure what is out there. Dont really want to spend a fortune on something then not to be happy with it.

Oh diet started last week - have lost 5lb Only another 23lb to go.

geordiemacminx · 05/11/2007 21:02

wider than other pushchairs, makes steering in shops tricky
quite heavy
big when folded unless you want to take all wheels off

busywithIzzy · 05/11/2007 21:17

Evening Ladies

GMM - Sorry about the name change Glad you had a good weekend.

Pesha - Fantastic news about D's weight gain, you must be really pleased

Evening Pillock - Great deducing skills or at least they would have been if GMM hadn't already outed herself

Nutty - Good luck listening to DH presentation. Glad you're enjoying the fireworks.

Maveta - Hope the nights get better soon.

SOL - Glad all ok with you.

Mammyjo -Hope F is better soon and her poor little botty

Yvie - Good to 'see' you

Hello everyone else.

All ok here, put Izzy into her big cot for the first time last night , it wasn't until today that I remembered how stressed and worried I got when I put J into his big cot in case he didn't sleep. Didn't even enter my head that Izzy might not sleep, much less stress second time round.

We had a good weekend. Went to a fireworks display on Saturday night. J loves fireworks - the noisier the better. Izzy also seemed to like them...in fact she cried when they stopped

Maveta · 05/11/2007 21:21

wow gmm another good eater! sounds like the blw babies on here are all going great guns..we are being a tad more cautious than I thought.. I give him porridge and fruit for brekkie so that it with a spoon (what do you lot give them for breakfast?) .. on the days my mum gives him lunch he gets whatever they are having pureed (she doesn't feel brave and I don't blame her!) and when I am feeding him lunch (we haven't got to tea yet) I tend to give him courgette or pumpkin or whatever veggie in sticks but not much goes in at all.. he ate a rice cake today and loved it. sicked it all up 20mins later but hey ho! We've only been at it a week (ish) though so I think we're doing ok. He already seems to chew/swallow a lot better although when he sits there thoughtfully and then s l o w l y spits out a very large piece of food I didn't know was in there, my heart does kind of stop

geordiemacminx · 05/11/2007 21:25

Maveta - C has mainly pureed stuff as meals - the bits for him to chew on are extras? Normally he has porridge or wetabix for breakfast, a jar of something for dinner and pureed fruit for tea - also has yoghurts, cod in parsley sauce and pasta with tomato sauce - all spoon fed.

Maveta · 05/11/2007 21:26

also, I keep meaning to ask if anyone knows where Mossie has gone? I know she was march but we saw such a lot of her towards our due dates and I know she was having a hard time for a bit right after the babies were born.. i think of her from time to time but don't see her around?

busywithIzzy · 05/11/2007 21:30

I saw Mossie posting on a BF thread a little while ago Maveta.

Izzy is also having mostly spoon fed stuff like GMM I am giving her finger food stuff to distract her while I shovel food into her mouth

Izzy doesn't seem to like breafast cereals as yet so has yoghurt/pureed fruit or sometimes toast and cheese spread instead.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 05/11/2007 21:36

mossie is on my facebook, and I think she's changed to Mossy now just to confuse us

she does say she must pop by every so often then she forgets again

CaptainDippy · 05/11/2007 21:55

Boo! Fireworks and Bonfire was good - LOTS of mad children running round my house! All gone now, all tidied up, DH and I sat in the back garden toasting marshmallows for a while - Off to have a bath now as I STINK of smoke.....t'was good fun!
