Surely no more sickness to be had?! (Or eah'll start spraying the thread with disinfectant!)

Hunnybunny - go S!! We have a few walkers on the thread now. So cute that he did the sign for milk - think UD is doing baby signing too?!?!

2Happy - you MUST have SOME news...come on, think long and hard. How is your cousin BTW?

Vino - I put the spag in a bowl and then dip his toast in it and he feeds himself his toast whilst I spoon the shapes in between his mouthfuls of toast.

I had fish and chips tonight. Feel really guilty! Naughty week - not looking forward to weigh in on Monday (although blood doning session is same night so may go there instead )

theUrbanDryad · 02/11/2007 21:30

Bunnyratfly - we're doing baby siging, Z signs for milk and either for daddy or more, we're not sure (he could just be waving his hands around randomly, i dunno!!) soooo cute that he waved at the tv, Z usually waves at people as soon as their backs are turned, so everyone thinks i'm making it up!

just been reading the style thread (it's on the home page) about the lady 12 weeks post birth and feeling like she looks rough. i'm nearly 10 months post baby and i look like shit!! my hair's awful, my skin's awful, i have no nice clothes and i'm sick of it. everyone on that thread was saying she should buy a wrap dress, but i can't bf in a wrap dress. i'm so sick of bf-ing atm, i know i should carry on, and i prolly will, but i just want some nice new clothes, and a pretty bra. someone say something nice to me to cheer me up...

Ok so I haven't quite got to bed yet...

PCF - I bought that for my DT niece's first birthday last year but it was a lot more expensive than that!! £50 They LOVE it.

bunnyhunny · 02/11/2007 22:53

just quickly - while there is a break in the film I'm watching on tv - what toys do your lo's play with now?
S is bored of most of his toys bar the ride on thingy, his walking trolley and his weird musical thing that wiggles on the floor. we desperately need new toys, but i don't know what will keep him interested for more than 5 mins...

eandh · 03/11/2007 07:55

Just a quick post as dh at work (again) and hattie hanging off my leg and ellie wants breakfast.

This was the age Ellie was when we started ttc no 2 so ffel a bit but also relieved at never being pg with a toddler again!!!

Toys - Hattie plays with Ellies toys mainly although she does love her 'maracas/shakers' and the bells on a stick thing from elc, also she loves pushing ellies dolly buggy and hitting dolly's head on the floor (mmm now wondering whether I have disruptive child in the making) but her fav thing is wooden bricks/fisher price peek a boo blocks/fisher price pop onz/mega blocks (mahoosive tub in elc but my mate gave me them) she loves chewing them, banging them and ellie building her a tower so she can knock it over they then clap together and chuckle at how funny they are! We have so many bloody toys in this house its impossible (plus another load in the loft) looking back think we went a bit mad when ellie was little.

eandh · 03/11/2007 07:56

UD - you are gorgeous mate - if you can why not book an hair cut and have an hour on your own being pampered

Oh and weighed myself this morning and lost 10lb in 6 weeks so feeling I am aiming for another 10lb before xmas

eandh · 03/11/2007 09:14

Put 6 new pics on my profile that I bought yesterday - pictures 3 and 4 are highly amusing!!!

Lizzzombie · 03/11/2007 09:21

I am baby free! Woo Hoo!
DP has taken DJ to his parents for the night. So I have my 1st ever baby free day&night! I am going to sleep and sleep and sleep tonight.
And I will not spend the whole day on MN.
I am going to be creative and make x,as stockings for my family.

UD - I so know how you feel. I am completely grossed out by how my body is at the moment. I have never been so fat in my whole life. None of my clothes fit me and even my shoes are too small (wtf is that about, my feet have grown a size since I got pregnant!)
My mum is giving my £ for birthday and xmas as even she realises I need some new clothes.
I got my haircut last week though, and it does make you feel better about yourself. I got a lady to come to the house. £15 job done. Easy Peasy.

Be thankful...you will always have smaller boobs than me! x

Lizzzombie · 03/11/2007 09:25

ps - UD - tons of bras on ebay. Just type in your size and they will come up. Bargains to be had!

Lizzzombie · 03/11/2007 09:28

eah!!! loving the xmas pictures!

Lizzzombie · 03/11/2007 09:33

pps - 10lbs !! well done!
(I really must stop eating cheese)

Lizzzombie · 03/11/2007 09:39

..I am now stepping away from Mn for the rest of the weekend x

2Happy · 03/11/2007 15:21

Lizz - oooh at your child-free time! Hope you're enjoying it!
UD - you sound really down, has dh taken Z any morning recently and given you a decent lie-in? I was just thinking how i've got a drawer full of nice underwear that's not been worn in aeons...sigh.
BTW on the same subject, has anyone else's hair never gone back to normal? Mine's really greasy [yuk], but I think it might be the mini-pill I'm on. And I'm getting lots of tummy cramps, like I'm about to come on, but I don't - anyone else with a c/s found the same? Mind you, ds1 was about this age when I had my one and only period last time! What a weird thought - can't imagine wanting to get pg right now, but I was broody as hell at this time with ds1.
(SEE Wilkie, if you encourage me to talk when I have no news I just end up wittering drivel!! )
My cousin's moved to a special stroke unit now. Her speech is a bit better, but unfortunately now they're more able to tell how much damage there's been to her faculties . Her short-term memory's gone, she can't remember who people are, and although she can move her right arm now, she can't properly control it. Grim.
bunnyhun - I'm sure you can guess what ds2 plays with...yup, tractors. Why would a child of mine play with anything else . Oh except for the ebay bob the builder toys which arrived finally, I got like an hour's peace when they first came!
pcf - doh! on the keys. And we're all on tenterhooks again to see if AF arrives
eandh - 10lb! Well done!
dh is on call this weekend, so no doubt I will spend more time than I ought on MN...

theUrbanDryad · 03/11/2007 16:05

se my AIBU? thread for the "me" time i got this morning, will do a link in a sec...

i feel a bit better today, dh has just taken Z for a walk in the buggy to see if he can get him to sleep. we're having a small gathering at our house this afternoon for dh's birthday which was on Tuesday, so i've been making party snacks today. just waiting for the people to arrive now!

theUrbanDryad · 03/11/2007 16:06

here

2Happy · 03/11/2007 19:01

Ah. No. Sorry, I missed that thread! Bloody men . The one time you want them to ENGAGE with their children so you can have a bath, and they mismanage it so spectacularly that you're now stuck every he's on his own, wondering what the hell he's up to. Why is it men think that looking after the baby = playing on the computer/switching the tv on/reading the paper?! Grrr!

Wilkie · 03/11/2007 19:25

What a complete Norbert UD. Nightmare. I would be incredibly mad.

eandh · 03/11/2007 20:12

oh ud that makes me - hope you feel better now and had a nice afternoon with friends (and I think bottom stair gate is a good idea, we have to keep ours shut now as hattie can do the whole flight of stairs in about a minute given half a chance!)

dh has worked 12-14hour days for 6 days this week so we have just eaten a huge banquet of chinese (6 different dishes including duck pancakes hmmmmm) as feels like we've hardly seen each other (plus I have been very snappy as am on this week - again because I changed pills nly had a short break) he is now snoring on the sofa

Had a lovely afternoon at my parents and ellie invited herself to stay for tea and then was very because my Mum and her went to the chippy, Hattie had one of Mums prepared meals that she freezes for the day she has them and my Dad has been Ellies horse all afternoon (she also announced she was going to marry grandad when she is a big girl and he can be her prince charming - then about 5mins later decided that she wants to marry Freddie from school because she sits with him at snack time and he has a baby brother Henry who is same age as Hattie so she can marry him!)

DH grandads 87/88th birthday tomorrow (never sure how old they all are he has 1 nan who is 94 plus his nan and grandad in their 80's) so got to go the obligitory family lunch where it'll all end in tears as one of them will play up - ooo I can't wait

eandh · 03/11/2007 21:03

right has anyone on here been to disneyland paris - ellie is dying to meet the princesses and although we have our florida fnd we will not be going there till the girls are 8 and 10 or 9 and 11.

Having a look at website looks like it'll be £400-£500 for 4 days/3nights next october (thinking hattie will enjoy a bit more as she'll nearly be 2 and ellie will be 4) not surebaout hotels etc. We were thinking of butlins again next year but that was £280 were this is a little more but I know ellie will be so spoilt princessmad lovelyage excited if we went (am also thinking it will involve buying relevant princess dress to wear for the entire stay!
